Life in your arms

She was once again, sitting in front of the grave of her stillborn son. It was difficult for her to do much else since she couldn't help but feel it was her own fault that their son didn't make it. He had been carried inside her a month longer than he should have been. It was amazing that Amatha had even survived. The silver woman stood slowly, realizing that by dwelling on what would never be, little Amatha wouldn't see her mother very often. She had to go home. She had to apologize to Hadley for not being there when she should and perhaps they could return to Casa. Amatha's eyes were open now, surely they could return to their home.

Making her way back to the house, Isa opened the door to find Hadley curled up with Amatha and Kade. Isa moved across the room to sit beside him and she leaned down and kissed his cheek, not wanting to wake him but hoping he would wake soon so they could talk.

OOC Laughs

Amatha was growing swiftly. Hadley did his best to care for her, protecting her and being there for her when her mother couldn't. His whole world revolved around her. The fact that the change had happened was shocking, but he couldn't give her up. Not his sweet little daughter. Currently he was curled around, even the young fox kit that Isa had adopted joining the heap. Warm they had fallen asleep after he had told them tales of yonder. Kade understood, but Amatha had simply heard his voice, drawing comfort from his presence. He was glad he could be there for her.

He did wake up after Amatha began to fuss. Tiredly he licked at his daughter, and wondered where Isa was. She needed to feed. Looking up he found himself facing his mate. She looked worn out. Smiling he sat up, careful to not disturb Kade. His daughter's bright blue eyes faced him as her tones rose, squalling with displeasure. Hey. Just in time. Gently he passed Amatha over for her to feed and care for. He could do many things for their daughter, but he couldn't do that. He was lucky that she hadn't completely vanished in her stupor.
