With Isa doing better now he had left Amatha in her care and traveled down to see Aniwaya again. It had been some time since he had done so. In a pack he carried there were some carvings that he thought they might like. The blue ribbon he'd been given was starting to fall apart now, much to Hadley's worry. If it completely disintegrated, would the good luck he'd been blessed with disappear? He was careful to not touch it, wishing that he could fix it up somehow. It was hardly even blue anymore, covered with dirt and stained as he refused to remove it.

Standing at the borders Hadley took in a deep breath. He was nervous when approaching most things, but here he could be confident. Aniwaya felt safe for him. Lifting his head he howled, a deep call that asked if anyone had the time to visit. He wanted to learn more about Aniwaya, and if possible he had some propositions to speak to the leaders about. Looking to the pack again Hadley assured himself the animal carvings would be like, and tried not to pace.

She was a little braver now, time, comforting friends and her own growing confidence doing much to restore her back to herself, the way she had been before Liam had raped her and left her for dead near her brother's pack. Nate-river and Payne grew more and more every day and were about three months old now and beginning to become interested in the why and hows of the tribe around them. Nate was a lot like Frodo, curious and investigative, whereas Payne was more contained, she reminded Gemma of Giuseppe who thought of how every situation could benefit himself before taking action.

She was inside of her house taking care of the long length of wood that she used as her staff to perform the dances required of her. She rubbed it down to clean it of ash and other dirt first then she smoothed oils into it to help it burn better. Across from her sat on the floor was Light, he spent a lot of time around her now since her mauling, her protector. It was such a shame to her why she couldn't love him like she loved Matteo, it would make her life so much easier.

She stiffened as a call came. So did Light. They looked at each other and an unspoken agreement passed through them. Gemma was adamant whilst he was reluctant but she needed to do this, to do things like this if she were ever to regain her own independence and pride. So she stood, holding herself tall whereas a lot in her like she had cowered. They moved in silence together, the warrior male and the damaged woman. Her face had healed completely now and the red raw wound closed to the air but it still pained her sometimes if she moved the muscles in a certain way. But the injury would never fade just like her ear would never grow back, and distorted the left side of her face with sickening scars that made her cry every time she saw them. Her beauty destroyed forever.

A male stood before them, maybe she was assuming too much but he looked nervous about being there. She remembered him from when they had counted the crops and planted them. Taking it upon herself to speak first she took a step forwards and spoke, Osiyo, hello.

It wasn't long before a set of white wolves appeared on the horizon. One male, one female, and both covered in scars. The male was more confident, while she carried the same nervous air that usually followed the scarred male around. Her face was deeply scarred, as bad as the injury on his arm where Amy had skinned him alive. That had been a painful injury, feeling it removed and lifted up. No fur would grow in that place.

Smiling he dipped his head in greeting. Hello. I brought something for your pack. Smoothly he slid the pack off his back, and opened it up so they could see the carvings inside. Hesitantly he held it out, hoping they would take it and accept it. He'd done the best he could on there, and his carving talent was improving each time he took a blade to the wood. They weren't useful, mainly decorative, though there was a single bow that he had crafted inside.

She was surprised when he offered them gifts for AniWaya but Light was more up to date with happenings outside of the pack, spoke first. "You're from Casa di Cavalieri? Thank you for these gifts." Light stepped forwards to take the pack from the male, and pulled out pieces, holding them up to admire the craftsmanship. Gemma smiled, Light was fascinated with carving and the like. She spoke quietly to this male from another pack, Casa di Cavalieri.

"It's nice to meet you. I'm Gemma Sawtooth and this is Light GoldenFeather. What is your name?"

She recognised a fellow wolf with a quiet and fearful disposition like her own. She would never seek to hurt such a brother of personality unless the other had proven to be malicious first. As an afterthought she said,

"Would you like to take a tour of Aniwaya?" Only after she had said this did she recognise him as one of the outsiders who had helped AniWaya ready themselves for the planting of crops,

"I remember you! You helped us plant our crops and fix our tools. Thank you for that."

The larger scarred male recognized his pack, Hadley smiling over at him. That was good. If they connected Casa to good things, such as bringing gifts, perhaps an alliance could be formed. It would be good if that happened. He took his time examining each one, Hadley wondering if his simple carving skill was holding up under inspection. He had only been carving for a few months after all, not even a full year of it. He recognized Gemma as she spoke. She had written the inventory when the pack planted.

Hadley. His words were quiet, spoken with a gentle confidence that had been growing while he lived in Casa. The recognition from his simple attempts to help brought a deep blush across his features. Yes. That was him. Pausing he thought about the offer to have a tour of the pack. He had lived there for a short time, but he hadn't seen much more than the village. I know the village, but not further than that.

She smiled ever so shyly at him, the gentle man before her. He was likewise to herself and this made it very much easy to relax around him. She had forgotten his name although she did recognise his face and name and was slightly sheepish as she asked for his name,

"It's nice to meet you Hadley." Before she could say much more Light spoke again, observant as always he had deduced that his presence would only unnerve more the softly spoken male,

"I will take these to Councilwoman Ulilohi and see if she approves. I'll catch up with you later maybe Gemma." He smiled his gentleman's smile at her and strode away before either of them could answer. Gemma straightened herself and smiled again, more confident this time, Light's presence removed or rather, outshone her own and she felt smaller with him around, although for her that was not a bad thing she liked being so well protected. But his absence let her grow a little too like a newly opened flower that needed moderation in rain and sun,

"This way then. I'll show you how well our fields are doing. They're growing so well." She gestured with an outstretched hand.

Gemma's smile was shy as she faced him. He grinned, his tail wagging as he began to grow more enthusiastic. This wasn't so bad. He could handle this, do what was needed. It's a pleasure to see you again Gemma. They hadn't spoken previously, but he still felt that it was good to acknowledge her. Her contribution had been rather important after all, while his own might have been flawed as he didn't know what all the tools he'd looked over were or how they were supposed to be.

His eyes slid back to the large male, nodding his head. The scarred male had felt a little intimidated around someone that was clearly a warrior. This was better. He hoped that Ulilohi would like the carvings. She was very friendly. That stuck out in his mind from the last time they had met. Hadley cheerfully followed after Gemma into Aniwaya. There was no fear as he stepped after her, heading for the fields. I should hope so. We put plenty of work into them.
