Leaving

Alex and Alaki had talked a lot. Alaki was stressed, and doing far too much training. Alex was jealous of the pups, and hated sharing Alaki. It had taken a while, but they had finally reached a conclusion. It was time to leave the pack. Alaki wouldn't be a leader, and Alex would get all the attention he wanted. It was the perfect deal. His tail swayed happily with the thought, until he found out that Alaki was bringing the pups along too. Disappointing. Well, he'd deal with it.

He spent his time packing up his supplies. Enough alcohol to last a fortnight was carefully stored, along with his tattoo supplies. Alaki would have to be in charge of the hunting. Alaki grumbled about it the entire time, his weapons already packed up and ready to go. Why he needed so many of them was beyond Alex, but if it kept Alaki happy all the more power to him. Finally settled Alex stepped out, the heavy pack resting on his back.

The two of them set out in the darkness, Alex's tail swaying happily as he thought about what they were embarking on. Well, mainly about all the free time Alaki would now have, but the life they were about to start was fairly important too. Impatiently Alex stood on the borders as Alaki looked back. The dark wolf finally turned forwards, and didn't look back again. This life was behind them.
