ebb and flow

Iskata had grown numb to quite a few things, yet she couldn't let them control her life. She'd hidden behind the wall once more and had taken another step towards the future. The pack had begun to search for boats to aide in their escape if ever the future needed thus. She sat along the boulders that rose from the sands along the northern shore listening to the ocean waves again while the world continued to crawl on. She knew in the span of time her life was short and somewhat pointless, so she'd helped to raise a pack with friends and now they seemed closer than her own family was.. She didn't know exactly what to think of that, then again she should know.. her family wasn't exactly big on togetherness.

She smirked bitterly at the idea, knowning that as much as she wished and hoped that Firefly would make it out alive, that DaVinci would cross the border and show his face.. that even Ember and Kansas would just drop in to say hello. She stared down at her scarred legs as she wondered just where her mate had disappeared to, if he was still out there.. if Moon lived on.. what really had happened to Icarus. Kansas had figured that there'd been no way for his sibling to live, yet no one had found the child in the wreckage after the flames had licked the lands clean.

She hadn't expected anyone to though, Fire was a cleansing element as well as a savage and dangerous monster. She shook her head as she raised her eyes up to gaze at the stormy brewing sea, the Lighthouse in view as she was reminded of Deuce's words, perhaps they were all monsters hiding behind a false face of innocences.
