Word Count :: 315 OOC: Set for any time today Smile

Another day gone and Sira was finding things to not change much, though she was relatively safe. She did not want to pressure X’yrin into training her, she was restless though and it was apparent. Once she was awake she always went out, to find something to do, trying her best to keep from the water too much. She’d learned after her near drowning that she was not a jackal of the water. She was all land and a pretty good climber, maybe she was one for the mountain, but she climbed it far too often recently to want to go back up for now.

Today she was back where the barn was, close to the sheep. Oh to just take a bite out of it... she knew she was not suppose to but it was such easy prey! It just stood there, and they were all so slow! How could they live without all being hunted down quickly? She sat by the gate that held them in content in watching them from where she was. It was a reminder that she was not to touch them and she was slightly hungry or she would go in and worry them, but she was afraid of being yelled at again for disturbing someone’s hunting. Her tail wagged at the thought of food, and she just lay there staring. As a natural scavenger she was one to take on the easy food. Anything she could get her mouth on. She was sure if no one came she might try for something, but she also enjoyed the quiet bleating of the sheep it did sound tranquil and calmed her mind into not finding a reason to hunt them... she really was not THAT hungry. So she was quite content to just stare at them and watch their patterns of movement for it seemed they had one.

ooc: Big Grin Surprise!

The rise to the afternoon was with purpose, the pursuit of a promise left unfulfilled and in dire need of attention. She had promised the up and coming Evan'ule her attention in regards to her training. Her goal was to make the jackal strong and able. To tap into the potential that had been suppressed for longer than it should have.

Preparations in the morning were made to accommodate this specific brand of training. First conditioning to get her limbs and muscles primed and ready, and then a bit of endurance training to work and expand the heart and lungs. But with most Nomad plans, there was room for both err and change, should the schedule need altering for the sake of success. But with the grounds of the Garden ready, all that was missing was the intended student.

Leaving Zeus to his own capable devices, the Secui formed she-wolf strode around the territory with nose poised to the ground, following the scent of Family and jackal to lead her to the curious female. And it did not surprise her to find the small lady taunting the sheep in the barn...again. A light expression touched her muzzle as she watched on, yet to be detected, while slowly approaching the fixated Jackal. Then when she was right behind her, X'yrin sat down and stared down at her...waiting...watching. And then dropped her muzzle on top of her companion's head and shouted, "GOOD AFTERNOON, MY STUDENT!"

Word Count :: 209 OOC: I apologize for this wreck of a post Sad

The more she looked the tastier they seemed to her and she was about to start the chase when something seemed to loom over her and then suddenly the shout. It was as though a thouder clap came right next to her ear and she was about to bolt when she registered that it was X’yrin and she made herself stiffen rather than run and he hurried from under the woman, though she felt comfortable she was also scared the alpha knew what she was thinking.

“o-oh hi Rin, I uh I, I can explain really. But I swear I didn’t touch them!” She said in a guilty tone of voice and hoped with all her heart the large woman wasn’t going to call her out on that as well, but she was trying her hardest not to look guilty, one ear up and the other half down and her big eyes looking up at X’yrin in hopes there would be no punishment for the thought of wanting to take one of those sheep and eat it. It wasn’t like it was being useful right now anyway and it was just asking to be eaten. How could she not? She was sure X’yrin was tempted.

ooc:
Looking down at her jackal friend, the she-wolf was all smiles as it appeared she had caught her in a compromising position. X'yrin giggled as Sira tried to defend herself, assuring her that she wasn't about to torment the sheep. But there was no need to apologize in her eyes. Afterall, she was victim to temptation more than once when it came to livestock animals. Truly easy game with delectable bodies, right and ready to eat. But for the sake of keeping them and preparing them to breed, she had to resist as did the rest of the pack.

"There is no need to worry Sira," the Nomad extended a paw and gently nudged her friend. "But your time will be better spent doing something else. Training, perhaps?" Her muzzle tipped up slightly still adorned with a smile. In her voice was the indication that the time had come to make good on her word and all that was needed was a willing student to take part. "Shall we begin?"

Sira was relieved that X’yrin was more amused than angry with Sira and she loosened her tensed muscles, wagged her tail, and lifted her head. She grew even happier when X’yrin mentioned training and yipp and squealed her happiness. Something that wolves could not do but she didn’t care about showing she was an entirely different creature than that of her pack. She was starting to become accepted and X’yrin would show her how to help protect the pack, and how to scout.

“Ok I am ready! Where do we start?” She asked after making a full circle of little jumps around X’yrin. She let her heartbeat calm down but she wanted to jump again because she was finally getting more attention than that pup Zeus. She was utterly jealous of him and always disappeared when she saw him and pretended to fall asleep right away when she came home for the night. She was extremely untrained and naive so she had no idea what she would have in store. The only thing she was truely good at was hunting and her mother beat it into her. X’yrin couldn’t be like that horrible woman. She knew it and would do anything for her to make her a happy alpha.

ooc:
Her friend's enthusiasm was warming and was the kind of attitude she was hoping for to begin this training. Now to harness the energy of that enthusiasm was something different entirely, but she took this as a positive start.

"Come with me," the Issor ordered mildly and turned to lead Sira out of the barn and into open land. From there she lead them toward the Reserve where the area had been set up. But their heading to the reserve cut through the Rock Gardens and it was there the training would begin.

As she drew near a large stone, the woman quickened her pace then leapt onto the rock, pausing on its top for a second before leaping to another. "Follow!" she called to the jackal behind her, taking another leap toward yet another rock and followed that path toward the Reserve trusting her student to follow the example...

Word Count :: 205 OOC: whee fun game!!

Sira bounded after X’yrin as she told her to go with her with exhuberant energy and happy that the sheep were entirely forgotten. Sira knew she would follow this woman anywhere and she felt happy to be the center of her attention rather than Zeus. Her tail waved behind her as she followed X’yrin until she stopped. The young woman stopped behind her. She watched as her now teacher leaped up onto a rock and she had her follow after leaping on another one. Sira nodded and followed after her, jumping from rock to rock behind her.

It was a little harder than it looked and Sira slipped off the second rock but recovered and climbed back on it, taking extra care not to slip again. She was sure she scraped something but she would not complain. She never had to before and she wouldn’t now. As long as she lived she wouldn’t complain about that life. She was quite content in the one she was living now and far more excited at what X’yrin had planned after this little game. She was giggling a little as she nearly slipped off one or overshot another, but she stayed behind X’yrin the whole time.

ooc:
As her own legs became more used to the movements, the Nomad’s leaps became swifter across the stones. From one mound to another in well-times bounds, she cleared through the garden then settled briefly on the delicately bald ground.

Assuming her student would continue to follow her lead, X’yrin took them into a fast sprint across the remaining length of the Expanse. As the Reserves came more in focus, small mounds would soon be seen. Rounded bits of wood by the initial look of it, but were discovered to actually be cut posts with their bark shaved off to act as obstacles.

Again, the female said nothing as she made a line for the spaced posts and vaulted over the first, resting on her forelimbs and then the hind for a brief instance then leapt over the other. With one rest between the posts, she charged through the obstacle course then spun on the tips of her paws to run through them again, shortening the resting time between the posts and forcing herself to clear the course in shorter, and shorter time.

Sira did her best. She wasn’t very good at jumping on rocks and X’yrin was going faster, though it was getting a little easier and Sira had agility, it was hard to keep up with the larger woman. She nearly stopped at the first pole. It was large and intimidating but she leaped as X’yrin did and with her strong, long legs she was able to clear it. The going was hard though, she felt her muscles stretching in places she didn’t know were unused. She moved beind X’yrin, already panting and wondering why the heck they did this.

She didn’t ask though, she was quiet and copied X’yrin’s every motion. She was going to hurt in the next few days but if this was how it was meant to train she would do it. She continued to follow the woman, leaping each post, but got rather far behind her. She was lucky enough that her feet didn’t stumble and she fell, so she was happy enough with that hopefully X’yrin would be too.
