OOC August 29

Getting out to relax was a good idea. Adelle was having trouble relaxing as time moved on past her grandpa's death. She was slowly starting to loosen up, but it was slow as it happened. She'd been there when Hadley fell apart at the seams, watching him protectively place Amatha in the safest place in the house before completely disappearing. Her and Isa had been left to watch after the pup without him for a short time, an odd change of events as he was usually there, hovering.

He had returned, quiet and withdrawn from everyone. Adelle couldn't place who had come up with the idea first, but it was decided that it was time to get everyone out of the house and actually doing something. So bright and early once her warming up was done Adelle came back to the house. Her heavy secui form sat outside, bright eyes watching the rest of the world. She looked like a guard, alert form waiting for the others so they could head out.

Isa still felt horrible for snapping at Hadley the way she did. It was her fault he disappeared for a little while. For a short time, Isa wasn’t sure if he would come back or if they were even mates at that point. He had simply left without a word, just dumping Amatha back at their home before taking off. He would have never left the pup alone for any amount of time and he had just left her in the house when she wasn’t even there. Anything could have happened to her.

They still hadn’t really spoken much when he did return; instead they simply gathered the pups together to head out for a relaxing day. Isa helped Kade climb up her arm to rest on her shoulder so he wouldn’t have to walk all the way to the hot springs. She then picked up Amatha, rocking her back and forth for a moment as the little girl fell asleep. Isa smiled down at Adelle as they waited for Hadley to be ready to leave.

OOC sings a song

Guilt flooded him. Guilt at not being strong enough. Guilt at failing his family. Guilt at running away. Guilt at having responded the way he had. Why couldn't he have simply accepted things as they were, and kept his family safe? He didn't want to speak to Isa about it. When he'd finally calmed down he'd crept back into the house, not moving into the bedroom with Isa, afraid that she'd throw him out for leaving her. He didn't touch Amatha either, fearful that Isa would snarl at him, tell him that he was unworthy to be around their daughter.

Getting out of the house to relax sounded like a pretty good idea though. A chance to relax, bond, and maybe, just maybe, be forgiven. That's what he wanted the most right now. To tell Isa that he loved her, and that he was sorry for what he had done. Hadley's mouth was as dry as when he'd first started speaking though, and just stepped outside in silence. Smiling nervously to his family he looked down at Adelle, his adopted daughter, then looked at Isa, Amatha snuggled in her arms. The perfect family. If they were willing to have such a flawed being with them.

OOC here!

Adelle looked up as Isa stepped outside. The fox kit was curled up around her shoulders, looking out to everything else. Amatha had just finished nursing, and curled into Isa's arms easily. It was quite early for the young puppy, falling quickly asleep again. Her large tail wagged behind her, standing up and coming to nudge against Isa. She grinned up at her, thinking about how nice it was out. The ache for her grandpa was still there, but at least it wasn't as bad when she was with others.

Hadley stepped out of the house, a small hesitant smile on his face. That was how he always was, questioning everything. Adelle wanted to bump him, tell him to relax, but that wasn't in her nature. At least, not anymore. Instead she stepped off and began to lead the way to the hot springs. She was looking forwards to soaking in them. Adelle had gone once as a pup, and had enjoyed splashing through the steam. Perhaps it would be like she was one again when she was there.

Isa couldn't look at Hadley the whole time that they walked to the hot springs. She felt so ashamed for acting the way she did. She had never asserted her dominance over anyone. So why had she now? And why to Hadley? He was her mate, they were equals. She wasn't dominant over him. Maybe something was wrong with her. She had been acting a little off lately, becoming irritated and cranky easily. It had never gone to that extent though. Hopefully a nice relaxing day with the family would calm her down though. Hopefully.

Once there, Isa knelt down and helped Kade off her shoulders. Watching as he ran around the springs, excited to see it for the first time. Isa stepped into the water, still holding Amatha and making sure only the steam touched her. The hot water would be a little too much for such a young pup and Isa, being the overprotective mother she is, didn't want to take the chance at Amatha becoming upset or harmed in any way.

OOC pudding

It looked like she would speak for a moment, Hadley waiting for Adelle's words as she looked at him. She was usually silent, unless it was on matters of fighting. She had come across Hadley practicing his defense skills once, and they had actually had a true conversation at that point. He fell behind her, Isa walking close by. Neither of them spoke on the trip, silence reigning in the soft morning light. It was awkward, but he didn't break it. He couldn't, not knowing what to say.

Reaching the springs Hadley stepped in, tail stirring the water as he let it relax his body. Amatha was wriggling as the family entered into it, curious but kept out of reach firmly by her mother. Hadley chuckled at the sight, yearning to reach over and touch her, touch Isa, and be forgiven. Disappearing for days on end wasn't exactly the best thing to do after all. He had a family that counted on him.

OOC here!

Adelle's large form pushed through the woods. It was easy to break through, her body clearing a path for the others to follow through. Her large tail swayed behind her, occasionally looking back to make sure that they were keeping up. Snorting at the sight of Hadley and Isa awkwardly avoiding each other she continued forwards. They had to make up. This was getting a little silly, really. Push them together?

At the hot springs, Adelle bundled herself up. With a run she leaped into the water, an arching wave splashing over everything else. Barking happily she swam through. It felt nice against her. A bit too hot for her thick coat, but still a nice feeling. She paddled over to a shallower section, shaking her body out. She watched Kade wander around, barking happily at him in an invitation to come and play. She was older than him, but only by a couple months.
