It had been a while since he'd decided to go out and see Blessing. Well, he did see her everyday when he went through and checked with the horses. Actually working with her was something different. The large mare was not yet broken to be ridden. While she allowed Hadley to sit on her back, she tended to fuss until he was well and truly mounted, and didn't take directions. He was going to change that though. Hadley wanted to be able to take Amatha riding when she was older, and he couldn't do that if he couldn't even figure out how to ride his own horse. Entering the barn he walked through the isles until he found her tack. Lifting it up he smiled at Blessing the horse snorting in reply. She knew where this was going, and was in complete disagreement.

For a short time the pair wrestled, Hadley fitting the saddle onto her body, followed by a hackamore bridle. He couldn't find a way to force a bit into her mouth, so this was the next best way to get her to wear something he could steer her with. Taking the reins he tugged gently, Blessing following him obediently out of the stall and to the surrounding woods. The scarred hybrid drew in a deep breath, and gripped onto the saddle. With a sharp heave he hauled himself up, Blessing beginning to toss her head and dance around. He was half on and half off, holding on as she moved, trying to adjust his frame. She really had to learn how to be ridden. And he needed to learn how to ride!

OOC: hey just wondering how did you get that cool background for you writing? I see that a lot of people have one and they're awesome.

The forest around her was quite, the breeze was warm as it danced around her. She had gotten tired of sulking in her room. Her skin was just itching to get out and explore more of her new homeland. She had gone on a few hunting trips by herself, exploring the fields around the fort and not to mention some of the forest. It was not that the fortress was not nice, but all those people in there made her claustrophobic. Ivy huffed as she moved silently between the trees. She was unsure if she should be patrolling the perimeter today, she gave what few updated of animal migration to Aly or anyone else who would listen. But besides that she wasn’t quite sure what to do with herself, she didn’t really have any friends to hang out with. Part of that might have been her fault though, she didn’t really try to make any. Therefore, she would continue to do what she always did. Hunt and explore the land around her.

She paused, ears tilting over to the east. The sound of a horse’s hooves bounced between the trees. Instinctively the Plains wolf moved to the noise- surprised as to what she had found. The horse was sidestepping and throwing her head in agitation as the chocolate colored Luperci was only half saddled on the horse. She couldn’t help but giggle at the latter’s attempt to settle on the horse. She trotted up to a closer hiding spot to watch the scene continue. The smile on her face was wide- her icy eyes glittering in amusement.

This was going to be interesting.

OOC its called a table. you make it with coding. i can make you one if you'd like, just pm me what details you want

Grunting he flailed, Blessing shying as she saw his arm wave around from the corner of her eye. Gripping on he pulled himself further up, heavy snorts punctuating his movement as the large draft horse protested. One fist knotted into her mane, and with a heave he was laying across the saddle. Not quite sitting in it yet, but closer than before. He swung his leg over, and Hadley was settled in his seat. Now he just had to place his paws in the stirrups. It was harder than he'd thought, Blessing still shifting around. Once his grip was secured she came to a stop, head lowering and grabbing up a chunk of grass as if nothing had happened at all.

Patting her neck Hadley looked around, triumph in his eyes. As difficult as it was he'd succeeded. Now he just had to figure out how to make her go. How had Wayne done it? A kick to the side of the horse. Gently he kicked at her. Blessing raised her head, looking back at Hadley. Disbelief was clear. Shaking her head she began to walk slowly, her steps clipping through the clearing. The sight of a small wolf came into view, Hadley's jaw dropping a little. Blessing just went right on, walking past her as Hadley turned his head, looking over to her. He smiled awkwardly, embarrassed to have been caught struggling. Sorry. Still training her.

OOC: Hey that would be awesome thank you!

Her amusement seemed to be short lived as the man finally got onto the giant herbivore. Her giggling fit turned into a quite rumbling in her chest. She scrunched her nose as she turned over to the side- a small rabbit was nearby. She would have to get it later. She was slightly distracted When they walked by. But she would have been blinded to not see the Luperci’s priceless face, a small smile forming on her lips. His embarrassed expression made her laugh inside- not that she would show it on the outside. She moved out from behind the tree she had been sitting behind. She nodded her head in greeting at the male. The fact that the horse was not quite broken in yet explained everything. “It’s a-alright, I understand t-that horses can b-be hard to break.”

She winced at her stutter, puffing her cheeks out in frustration before tilting her head to the side. The mare was beautiful, not that she would know much about horses. Ivy knew when to appreciate things when she saw them. China blue orbs turned back to the stranger on the horse. “My n-name is Ivy, Ivy Havoc. And y-your horse is very c-charming to say the least.”

Her smile widened a little more as her eyes shifted over to the horses long face.

OOC your welcome

The graceful female nodded her head as Hadley passed by, a small smile on her features. She seemed fairly amused by what was happening if the sparkle in her eyes was anything to go by. His face grew warmer, struggling with how to explain it away. He wanted to ride Blessing, and be good at it. Life just didn't seem like it was going to be giving him any slack anytime soon. Just when life with his mate was going back to normal, no longer ignoring each other, life decided to strike again, sticking him to make a fool of himself in front of someone who was almost a complete stranger to him.

Hadley tugged on the reins, Blessing coming to a halt in order to munch on a nearby bush. At least it looked like she was listening to him this way. Relief flickered at her soft spoken words. The stutter didn't bother him. He used to stutter when he'd first started talking. Not much anymore unless he was truly frightened. Thanks. Her name's Blessing. The mare's ears pricked up at her name, turning to look over at them both. A gentle nicker filled the air, two sets of brown eyes looking at the female before the horse returned to grazing.

OOC: sorry for not replying i've been busy with school.

The wolf slipped closer to the horse, moving slowly as not scare the beast. She sat down a few feet in front of the horse and stared straight at her. Blessing, it seemed to fit nicely to the animal despite its personality with its owner. She let a hum vibrate through her chest as she watched the horse graze. She turned up to the owner with a wide smile on her face. “S-so you t-training her?” she gave a nod of approval and looked out to the clearing around them. The forest was silent besides the muted drone of the birds sinning to each other.

It reminded of the summer that she had spent alone, wandering the wilderness by herself. She had become attuned to the sounds of the birds- listening for their shrieks if danger was nearby or if the forest around her was lulled and peaceful. She would walk, hunt, dream in woods like these. All those lonely nights sleeping in hollowed trees and empty caves or dens. Those were cold and depressing nights. A shiver swept up her spine- that familiar wriggling feeling in the back of her mind telling her. Telling her that He was out there, those green eyes boring into the back of her head. She tilted her head to the side, china eyes glancing around her despite the fact that she knew he was not there. But she scanned the forest around her diligently like she always did. Those phantom eyes that would never leave her alone, never rest.

Ivy, my sweet little chickadee.” The voice danced through the woods, crooning for her to come and follow.

She would not do it, would not hope. She had fallen for it to many times.

The sound of the horse snorting at something at the ground brought her back to reality with a start. She stepped back and looked at her feet before settling back down. A frown on her face as she tried to calm her paranoia. “S-so how l-l-long have you b-b-been in the pack? I’m n-n-new and haven’t looked around all that much.”

Despite Blessing's dislike of being ridden, she was a truly sweet beast, snorting gently at the wolf as she grazed. Hadley considered the benefits of getting off her back, a brief battle in his mind before sliding off. He could fight with her to get back on again. In the meantime it was more comfortable being on the ground with the female, rather than staring down at her. Taking a seat he smiled over at the small grey wolf. She seemed quite nice. Blessing didn't move away or anything else like that, content to wait to be told what to do now that there was no one on her.

I'm trying. The fearful glance in her eyes set him looking, studying around what was there. Was there something there to hurt them? He didn't see anything. His ears strained to pick up any unusual noises, but nothing was there. Flinching a little at the continuation in the conversation he shook his head. He shouldn't have let himself get spooked like that. It was foolish, just letting something that wasn't there get to him. I've been here for some months. It's a good pack to stay in. Everyone's friendly.
