Greater Halifax

Word Count → 000

Adonia's eagle was flying high above her, as she moved through the greater area of Halifax. Her eyes scanned the stores as she walked on past them. She was looking for timing belt. It was rough and brittle and wouldn't work the way it should. The only place she could find a timing belt is in Halifax she was sure, then she would have to make her way all the way back to Amherst. This was going to be a hell of a trip. Leaving New Dawn for nearly a week, hopefully less. She didn't want to upset Zalen with being gone long, however, she really wanted to get that Jeep running.

Finally, Adonia came across the first auto shop. She opened the door---well attempted to, but it was locked. Her eyes looked to a window that was knocked out and began to gingerly climb within. Adonia had to go through a few boxes. Many containing parts she didn't need, some she knew she might need later. She found some old antifreeze she might need later, but water was needed, and that was easy to come by. Then she knew she'd need a few batteries. She found a 6v and a 12v, then the one that was meant properly for the Jeep after looking through a catalog in the autoshop. However, she didn't find the belt. She stuffed all the stuff on a wagon she found in an alley. It looked like it would be useful. Peaking out a back pack she had was her red doggie.

Theo being unavailable to talk she began to talk to the stuffed animal, "Looks like we have to find another shop.." She continued down a neighborhood street. She was feeling just how lonely she was, but her eyes looked up and she saw her bird sticking right by her. She knew she wasn't alone, and she knew she had Theo right there. He was always faithful, and remained protective of her, almost possessively. Adonia didn't mind though, it reminded her that he wanted her, that he cared about what she did, and who she was with.

Looking back down, hunger pained her stomach. She stopped looking back up to Theos and with a short whistle from her Theo looked around his flying changing to a more tactful maneuver and then the large bird launched himself down, his talons grabbing sharply onto the rabbit he found, then taking back to the air with ease. Coming back down, he zoomed past Adonia dropping the rodent to her. Adonia caught it and then smiled to Theo. She found a bench in a park and sat down preparing her meal, taking the skin and fur from it before she started to to consume the tender muscles that made up the meat.

Shoot for the heart, relevant to my post. X3 Sorry i took a while...I had no computer for the last two days. D:

Focused mismatched orbs peered through the brush as Moss focused on his kill. He was tired of bringing home measly rabbits and other small kills for the puppies and Terra. She deserved something more and he was determined to catch something worthy. He spotted a deer, a young doe, alone and was now calibrating the motions he would need to make to take it down swiftly. The breeze was taken into consideration as well as ever other small detail. He was in optime using a bow and arrow, always his weapon of choice, and had already knocked an arrow. He was now waiting for the perfect time to shoot. His eyes were narrowed in a focused gaze as he aimed for the center of the deer's chest. Always, he needed to be precise as to not cause the animal any suffering when it died. It was a tradition he carried with him from his homelands and was determined to keep with it. Moss never wanted to cause harm to any creature, even if they were prey. He quietly whispered to himself before loosing the arrow to take the life of the doe. May my aim be true. With that, he pulled back, took a large breath to be held, and then released the arrow. It streamed through the air being swept to the right, as he'd predicted, by the slight breeze and hit the dear exactly where he had wanted it too. She made not a single sound before kneeling on her front legs, and then falling to the forest floor as she took her few last breaths.

Moss smiled and made his way over to his kill. He knelt down and stroked her gently while she took her last breath. Shhh...thank you. He cooed before checking her breathing to make sure she was dead before he snapped the arrow off and tied a rope around her back and front legs to be carried back home. He then slung her over his shoulder and went on his way. The scents of past canines wafted into his nose. He was by Halifax, incredibly close actually. Maybe this would be a good time to find something interesting for himself? Yes. Might as well since he was out.

The rusty man entered the old town within ten minutes of walking. He'd never been here before but it was a sight to behold. The city was huge, tattered buildings falling to the ground while others remained in tact and still stood tall and proud. Nothing like his home where the hills rolled, grassy and green, and there were few houses marking the landscape. Moss entered, careful of where he was stepping. There were broken bottles and rubble scattered over the road and the sidewalks. His eyes wondered over ever detail as he strode down the middle of the road. It wasn't long before something of interest caught his attention, placing a shy smile on his face and bringing his tail to a hasty wag. Adonia? He wasn't sure he still had a chance with her, but she had told him they were to have a reading lesson together. He was still looking forward to that. Moss picked up pace and let his nose lead the way until he was led to a park. The grass was still flourishing and the trees were alive. A vivid comparison compared to the rest of the old city. He heaved the dear up onto his shoulder so it was more comfortable and ran his fingers through his hair, as if trying to fix his appearance before she noticed him. His ears were pressed back some, he was nervous for some reason. Okay... He mumbled before striding forward with a hand raised the whole way. It wasn't until he got closer that he noticed and dropped it quickly laughing to himself. Idiot... Hey Adonia! I didn't think I would find you here. I was in the area hunting...if you couldn't tell. He said lifting his shoulder so the deer moved some. When he came closer he dropped it on the floor gently, as if not to rouse a sleeping spirit.

With all that had happened with Ookami and since her playing with Zalen, she had totally forgotten about the cute dog mix. She was trying to not think about the changes in her life. And she still knew something was changing in her, again. Now that it was getting closer Adonia was beginning to realize she was going to be in season again. It was just a matter of a couple days away. Her mind was becoming more unfocused on bigger things, and more focused on play. Today, though, she forced herself to focus on gathering parts for her project.

Taking a break wasn't going to help her keep focus, but she was hungry and the rabbit that Theo caught for her was just the thing she needed to bait back that hunger. When the young male's voice broke the silence that had been around here, her eyes looked up to meet the mismatched orbs of the other. She felt embarrassed by her unclean appearance. The blood on her muzzle and the blood on her chest. Her ears folded back and she bowed her muzzle down shyly. "..Hi..." She felt even more embarrassed. He remembered her name and she tried to bring it up, but he green in his eye reminded her, "..Moss.." How could she have almost forgot about that cute name. She giggled at him a little, "..a doe for the babies?" She inquired wondering if he was still with Terra. Her tail began to wag openly at her side as she remained on the bench licking her muzzle trying to get some of the blood away. That rabbit was truly a good meal and now she had company to bait back that lonely feeling she was beginning to gain.

Short...my Moss muse is still poop. >.>

The woman was every bit as charming as before and instantly caused the rusty man to fall into a daze. She was every bit as beautiful too, even with the blood on her muzzle and chest. They were canines, it was simply a happening to get bloodied by prey every once in a while. She was shy, which gave him a little more confidence, but not much. Why did she do this to him? He was glad to hear that she had remembered his name as well as he had remembered hers. His ears pressed back as he came to sit by her leaving plenty of space between them both. Moss nodded glancing at the deer. It was a lucky catch. Yes...and for me. Moss looked over to her as she tried to clean herself quickly and he smiled warmly, a hand boldly coming up to wipe away a drop of blood from her cheek. He recoiled shyly afterwards glancing away again.

So, what are you doing out here? He was so awkward around her. The first time they'd met it wasn't really like this. But, this time she made him shy. He tried to appear the opposite though puffing up his chest and pressing his previously folded ears forward.

I'm going to say this thread is long before the day before her and Z played with her stuffy <3 Lol

He was happy for the orange hued male, he may have said the woman he helped wasn't his girlfriend. Still, Adonia couldn't help but feel he was developing feelings for Terra. She was a charming woman from what she remembered. Sweet and very caring, she deserved a male like Moss. Adonia was sure she'd be alone for sometime, her heart unable to cope with an attachment, but she couldn't deny that the male was and is cute. She almost was curious about what would happen if they kissed, or if they did anything. Adonia was still quite new to the 'love' world. She was a cuddler and a hugger, but when it came to kisses and touches like that Adonia was very shy and nervous.

Her mind snapped back to reality, realizing her thoughts were twisting into odd manners. She was less than a week from being in season and hadn't realized this yet. Her life was going to change in a very dramatic manner soon enough, yet the wolf dog was unaware of the changes her life would take. Her ears folded back shyly and she dipped her muzzle toward the earth, "...well I've been working on a project. I was looking for parts and such..." She almost asked what he was doing here, but that was obvious. He had been hunting. She licked her lips tenderly before glancing kindly up to him, muzzle still pointed downward.

out of character here

The orange giant tried to remain nonchalant, keeping his shoulders rolled back and his ears pressed forward. He didn't want to appear weak to her, he didn't want the itching shyness to show through his large built form. It was strange. He didn't get this way around Terra, although they did have their shy moments. With Adonia, it was a constant pressure weighing down on him whenever she was around. He wasn't sure what that meant, but he tried his best to ignore it. Could it be that it was all because she was shy as well? Moss shook the thoughts from his head and smiled over at the lovely creature sitting merely feet away from him. The touch he delivered seemed to have gone well, the shy woman ducking her muzzle away from him. Moss couldn't keep his eyes away from her. She was beautiful and sweet, like nectar and he was drawn to her fiercely. He wanted to get closer, yearned for the touch of the beauty but he was so damn nervous he couldn't bring himself to do more than he already had.

Moss's ears flicked back as she looked at him, his eyes strangely darting away and then back up to her once she looked away again. What kind of project is it that you're working on? Maybe I can help? The thought widened his smile. The chance of being able to help her got his tail swaying behind him as it hung off the bench lamely. After all, she had helped him find the toys Ananse and Loki had come to love so much. It was the least he could do to repay her. Also, it meant he would be spending time with her, a thought that he simply couldn't push away. Moss scratched the side of his face and ran his hand down his neck to the bend in his shoulder. He kind of wished he could push away this shyness that surrounded them both. Get her to laugh or something. But Moss wasn't very good at being funny as there was nothing to joke about at the moment. He'd just have to hang on for dear life and see where this went. The gentle hybrid took a chance and scooted closer, his arm brushing up against her. His mismatched eyes focused on the ground as he did this while his body stiffened, waiting for a reaction.
