It was quite often the Issum found himself training. It was an expectation set for his pack and being a leader did not exempt him from it. Today would have been no different than any other training day. He rose in the early morning hours to the lovely scent of his beloved Issor only to dawn his metal gauntlets, bow, and quiver of arrows and leave. Exercise would start with a short stretch as he had been taught was healthy in his youth followed by a nice run. Two legs would carry him across Sangi’lak until he hit Adlarto’k Lake. There he would stop to drink and practice with his bow a bit before continuing north and along Suki’Aliqua. But this is where the day would become unique. Before reaching the foot of the mountain once again, Jaden was reminded of his hunger. He hadn’t hunted in a day or two now and the gurgles of an angry belly were now felt as punishment. And he wasn’t in the mood for just meat. For one reason or another he was craving the savory flavor of cooked meat seasoned with a bit of herbs from the countryside. The thought alone had his mouth watering and it only took another few minutes of running before the male changed course.

The crossing of Suki’Aliqua was slow as always with his fear weighing him down, but he did eventually and awkwardly hop across one of its most shallow points to find himself past the boarders of Sangi’lak and now pushing toward Miramichi Valley. He knew that there was a plentiful supply of wild sage growing there from months ago when he had been scouting for Sangi’lak’s location. The trip took the better part of a few hours but the extra work done on two legs when four would have been easier made up for the fact that training would be put off for another day.

By the time his dark body reached the valley heat was radiating off of him. He panted heavily and stopped at the tree line to peer up at the clear sky angrily. It wasn’t particularly hot this day but the Alaskan’s fur was thick and built to withstand sub-zero temperatures. Anything over 60 degrees wasn’t exactly comfortable for very long. Jaden cursed the sun as he often did but didn’t hide in the shade for too long. Still panting, he pushed himself out into the open field with his deep blue eyes glued to the different plants and grasses that grew at his paws. It didn’t take long to locate some sage. The stuff had a rather unique smell to it. Minutes fell by as this odd picture of a fully armed warrior apparently picking plants from the ground continued to play out. He worked diligently without looking up. Trying to sniff out things while still staying upright on his two legs was more challenging than if he had submitted to four secui paws and required a good amount of concentration.

Jaden does. Jaden speaks. Jaden thinks.
