The Past is Far

The glimmer of twilight had settled over everything, the cloak pulled tight around her body. The air was beginning to chill, just enough that it was noticeable, but not yet at the stage where one would think of wrapping blankets up and preparing for winter. It was that edge between summer and fall, just waiting to fall over to the other side. Pride moved silently over the lands, leaving the caves she usually remained in to keep out of the light.

It wasn't like she was albino, to want to avoid it. Pride just felt that the night showed things more truly when everything wasn't blinded by the sun's harsh glare. Under a softer light the details could be made out, not forced to be anything but what it really was. It made some objects dangerous, as they were supposed to be, not the friendly face they wore in the day, and others gentle, where they might be seen as foreboding in the day. Heading for the stables she quietly thought to herself, reflecting over what she had seen.

Aeron had hunted down the gift that she was bringing to her daughter. She found it odd that the white child had left the Villa to live in the caves and it Saddened her a bit. She wanted her daughter to be close to her and she was not.

Aeron walked along with elzar and this un named Mare. The horse was stunning almost enough to make Aeron trade Elzar for this one. She smiled as she moved on her way. she was slowly finding time to be with her family. It was a hard thing to do but Aeron tried and thats all she could do.

She followed the scent trail to find her daughter heading to the stables. She smiled making her way there. Maybe the young woman was taking an interest in horses or maybe she was just bored. Aeron did not know. Adwen Pride Tormenta Aeron caled out looking for her daughter.

Slipping inside Pride walked among the horses that were there. Some nickered, most not caring about her presence. After all, she wasn't the owner of any of the horses here. Pride did enjoy riding the communal beasts, though she didn't do it often. There were no deep ties here for her. The young coyote had just needed a change of scenery. Her tall ears pricked up as she realized that someone was heading through. Looking around Pride wondered who it could possibly be.

The scent of her mother's horse, along with her very own mother, set Pride's tail wagging. The sound of her full name wasn't nearly as delightful. Quickly she came over, appearing before her dear mother. Here, Mama. White eyes looked over the second horse, curious about the mare. She'd never seen the horse before. Perhaps it was a new communal one, or a gift for one of Mama's mates. Or maybe, just maybe, it was for her.

Aeron smiled as she moved to her white daughter. She smiled next she'd have to get Lillith to make her a lovely cloak. Something lined with fur of something. Maybe a fox like her mother, or something nicer. Aeron smiled as she looked to her I was able to meet up with an old friend. And look at who he gave me, She said patting the Mare. She was very lovely and going to be a good riding horse.

She's for you She said smiling at her daughter. She's a fine mare and good and sturdy. She'll make you a great partner. Aeron spoke releasing the reigns to elzar as he made his way to the grass. Aeron smiled as she looked at her child She has no name and could use more training but she's young and strong willed like my daughter. Aeron spoke looking to her. She loved her daughter and was glad she chose to stay in Anathema though she wondered if pride would ever leave her.

Her mother smiled as she approached, Pride's tail beginning to wag. It was good to see her. She always enjoyed time with her mother, no matter how brief it was. Mama was busy as the leader, but these small moments were still there where they would spend their time together before they went their separate ways again. Pride studied the beautiful mare again, her ears swiveling forwards as her full attention trained on it. The mare was truly gorgeous. Mama was lucky that she'd received such a fine beast from an old friend.

Pride gasped with delight at the words, her tail now thumping happily. Truly? She placed her hand on the mare's neck, looking into the intelligent eyes. Petting her she beamed, her eyes darting between Mama and the mare. She's wonderful. I'll make sure to train her well. She'd be a fabulous horse once that was accomplished, she was sure. Pride hugged Mama tightly before turning back to the mare, thinking about the name. I'll call her Shinea then.
