WC: 382 OOC: Her spirit guide is visible Smile. She's in optime of course and making herself enjoy herself!

There was a slight chill in the air as Saqui made her way to the working fields. She had a hand tool in her hand, a bag of things she was sure she would need, and a gathering song on her lips as she moved along the trail towards the fresh wheat ready for harvest. She had heard of an old horse drawn contraption that helped with the work but when she found it she had no idea how to use it so she was going to do it the old fashioned way. She was sure she would be fine

As she came to the long grasses of the wheat she wanted to hold her breath and thank all the gods that she loved the horses as much as she did. she probably wouldn't be out here if she didn't she was sure of that. The wheat seemed almost endless. She was amazed at how much had been planted, Of course... horse drawn plows were far easier than horse drawn harvesters. Taking a deep breath and telling herself she would do fine, she could easily get this done, and if she couldn’t get more done by the time the rainy season came she hoped she’d have enough at least for the horses. Wheat and oats were important for their diet.

Saqui began the mind numbing task of bending and pulling at the wheat with her sickle. She was humming the gathering song out loud. It was slow work and she needed to keep her mind occupied. Even for an early september it was quite warm and she found herself panting soon enough, unable to sing or hum to anything, just trying to stay warm. She could feel her muscles strain at the work, but they were only sore. She was used to this type of work and would continue on. She kept reminding herself, if she could get this done she will go for a ride with Mirage. The otter spirit guide was actually sitting at the sidelines giving her faithful praise as she moved forward ever so slowly, leaving the wheat laying where she had cut it. She would gather it again with a rake, which was easier than putting it all in a big pile.
