The night was cool but it did not bother Ibycus as he slept because his dense fur was made for keeping him warm in the mountain cold air. Although the night coldness carried over into the morning, the sun was shining and suggesting that it would be a bright sunny and warm day. He stretched out his muscles until his joints popped back into place and walked out to the lake's beach.
Having arrived during the night he had not seen the view of the lake until now. All he could do was stand and stare at it for a few minutes and take in the beauty of the scene that the morning has shown him. The sun shining on the tops of the trees and the lake smooth as glass with a near perfect reflection of the far shore with the trees and sky.
This was one of the reasons that he continued to roam the countryside, to see the sights and take in the beauty that nature had to offer anyone that cared to look. Once again he wished that those human contrivances called cameras worked, this would be one of those scenes that would have been nice to capture onto paper to keep the memory fresh and to share the memory with any one else that might be interested. This was another moment that he wished he was talented and artistic so he could paint the picture, but alas, he had neither talent or paints.
