Never let me go

Would any recognize him as the son of Jazper, as the once proud Knight. Would any be able to see past the matted and unkempt fur and skinny physique, the blank haunted eyes and compare him to the Lorenzo of old. His return had been noticed by nobody, thank Fenris, least of all the one who had been injured of him, he was grateful Adelle had not found him yet. He hid, like a coward he hid in his room. Barely coming out, only when he was sure that the surrounding was deserted. Some days he had slept outside in the wild because there had been someone skulking about the fort. He had no desire to speak to anybody and see the derision in their eyes, the hatred, the fear. By all rights his father should have exiled him, the murderer.

He had lost roughly half of his weight, leaving him a skeletal skinny shell, his fur was caked in mud and hung limply in tatters. In his right ear where once two earrings had glinted now there were only two missing triangles of emptiness, torn from his ear by his own hands. It had felt good to bleed, to feel pain and torment himself. A sickened lurch came over him and he retched, gagging heavily but bringing nothing up, there was nothing to bring up. His lost almost soulless eyes had sunk deep into his face, casting them in shadow, the emerald and amethyst that had once shined so brightly, dully and glossy. How had he managed to train himself to starvation as he had followed Juliet around like a helpless puppy. He hunted for her but touched hardly anything himself, barely enough to keep a much smaller man alive and healthy never mind the large brute he had once been.

He slunk forwards into the blackness, ears pressed downwards. Night had come quickly, winter was beginning again. He passed the shops and houses, most of the Fort inhabited by strangers to himself. Casa had always been full of strangers. The only sound his whisper quiet footsteps and light breath into the air.

Everything seemed to be falling apart, from death to the loosing of memories. Everything was wrong, nothing seemed right. The girl just wanted to bring her family cheerful news, something she knew would bring a smile to their faces but all she found was broken pieces of those she knew. Her mother had lost two of her children, losing memory of how it happened but felt the anger of seeing their broken bodies. And her sister, dear Titania, the sister she was always oh so jealous of. Now she was lost, she had felt the pain her mother felt but she handled it differently. She had block out all her memories, maybe it was to block out the pain she felt.

It all made her feel sick, unsure of how life really was. She wanted to tell them she was going to be getting married, that she wanted them at her wedding to support her and yet. Yet she felt as if her wonderful news was not wonderful at all, it was worthless compared to their pain and lose. She had finally felt the love her sister once told her about, the blooming of flowers in her heart and now her sister lost even that.

How could she be happy in this moment, did this make her selfish? She was excited, overjoyed and yet sadness gripped her heart as well. The young girl moved back to the little camp that her fiancé set up a few nights ago, just outside their pack’s protective walls. Her eyes filled with confusion when she did not find him there, instead she found herself tracking him down the way he taught her. Her tail wagged slightly at the site of him but she always felt hopeless when she looked at him, he was barely eating and no matter what she tried he would not eat more. Lorenzo… She breathed in her monotone voice, running up to him. She let the fabric that she wore keep their skin from touching, sad that he had become a shadow of what she loved. Her eyes looked up at him in confusion.

whee Big Grin Small pp, let me know if you want it changing!

The secui shadow of a man was a lost waif that drifted endlessly on the cold still air of Casa. He could hardly bring himself to feel anything anymore. It was all so meaningless and so stupid. They fought and sniped and snarled over worthless crap, stupid worthless crap! How could they not see that the most precious things in life were to be held onto tightly and never let go; love.. family. But he didn't have a family now did he, not for so many months as he had wandered dejectedly following the woman he would marry like a shadowy demon. She should have sent him away, he was no good for her.

Whisper footsteps soon came to a halt as he ran out of energy. Where had the boy gone, the young boy who played his flute with such joy, the teenager dedicating himself to protect his family, the man who had devoted his entire life to standing between his pack-mates and those who would cause them harm. Where was the young boy that had found love in a field of flowers whilst hunting for pigeons. The bright orchard concealed within her eyes shined for him alone and yet he did not deserve it, any of it. He had no right to claim her as his female, nothing to offer her, no honor to ask for her hand. And yet he couldn't bring himself to leave her for her own good, he was trapped in a cage of his own feelings, unable to escape, not wanting to escape too.

She was dressed in her clothes again as she came to him, as she always was now. A monster had taken her innocence and destroyed what was hers to give away and for that she could no longer bare the feeling of being naked before other eyes, sometimes not even his own. He looked up at her from his four legged form, it had once been huge, a monster too in the making. Now it just heralded the hastening of true starvation.

She came to him on her knees and he despaired to see the sight. She looked up at him, as lost and confused as he felt on the inside. Still she let their bodies touch even with the barrier of her clothing. Her arms slipped around his thin neck and the secui man pressed his nose into her curly mane of red hair, inhaling her scent. When she drew back he found her fur wet, wet from the tears that had fallen from his eyes, he looked back at her with trembling limbs,

"Mah Jules. Never let meh go. Without yah ahm nothin'"
