OOC here!

Training was important. Every day he went down, and trained endlessly, doing his best to be a good guard. He trained against Aro, strengthening himself, and then went and pushed himself further by giving himself impossible tasks. With time he was learning to accomplish them. Raoth would never have a thick build, but there was no mistaking him as someone who was weak. Entering the training ring Raoth looked around. He still didn't feel like he was pack, so going in made him nervous. It was good for training though, and once that started all thoughts of unease vanished.

Currently his movements were a blur. The wooden post he was striking against had chips of wood flying out of it. He wielded twin swords, hacking away and stealing from it as he worked on taking it down. He ran through what he knew, hoping that it would be enough, and tried to adapt what he didn't know. It was a clumsy process, the coyote's blind rage keeping him from slowing even when the swords clashed and struggled with what he had attempted, simply striking back with even greater force the next time.

With all the leaders about within the territory, Alyssum could not help but feel a bit tense about all the events happening. She had been remaining within the Fort lately, in case anyone was in need for anything, so she had been missing her daily hunting trips, one of the few things that allowed her to relax and to be loose. But, as she rolled her shoulders and stretched her arms, she knew that remaining inactive for too long would either drive her crazy or make her edges soft, perhaps both. The next best thing, she decided, to hunting was touching up on her training.

Alyssum could not remember the last time she had a real fight, and supposed it would not hurt to go through the routine motions, just to refresh her muscle memory and to loose her joints a bit. As she started to pull her arms across her chest in preparation, she noticed that she was not alone. A familiar shape was hacking away at a wooden post, and even from here the woman could see the chips of debris flying. "Hey there--Raoth, right?" she greeted as she entered the ring, still swing her arms a bit. "Looks like you're pretty handy with that blade there. Do you know how to fight without it?" It was a yes or no question--she knew by now the man couldn't speak, so she kept her questions simple. "If you do, mind sparrin' with me? It's better to train with someone than by yourself!"

OOC here!

The sound of someone's voice caught his attention. The coyote turned his head, a death glare aimed in her direction. The rhythm of his blades faltered, and a ringing blow sent one flying out of his hands. Growling he dropped his arms, stepping over to retrieve the blade. Didn't she know better than to interrupt someone when they were training? Grabbing the sword Raoth looked up. That was right, this was the new pack leader. She didn't look like much. Alyssum clearly had some coyote blood in her, mixed with something else. Her bright outlook did little to assure him that she knew what she was doing. Probably some pet of Jazper's that he decided to promote.

Raoth snorted at the stupid question. Of course he knew how to fight without it. Did she really think such a vital part of his training as a bodyguard would be missed? He could do it. Invited to spar with her his lips curled. Did she seriously think that she stood a chance against him? He'd spent most of his life brawling. There had been no formal training until Amy took him in, but he was still quite good at it. Dropping both blades Raoth stepped back, nodding. Sure, he could humor the mutt and spar with her.

The glare the man sent her way did not do much to improve her tensions, but she decidedly
did not allow it to her to get. Raoth already seemed to be a man that was mad at the world,
and she did not do much other than disturb his attention, causing him to accidentally fling his
blade. It was hardly anything to cause a fuss over, so the woman kept the small smile on her face
as she approached the coyote.

Again, she felt dumbfounded as he snorted at her; surely, she had yet to rise mentally to her
rank, but even if she was a Luna or a Prova, she did not take kindly to the lack of respect that was
given to her. She let it slide again, and stepped closer to the sneering man--how his lips curled
over his teeth, as if he saw her as something little and nothing more. Maybe it was the smirk that
got her blood to boil slightly, but not enough to stir anger within her. The man seemed
expeierenced enough, so she did not give any pretense to him, and automatically went at him.

Her clenched hand looked to connect with the left side of his face, barely any power behind
the motion though, while the lower half of her body aimed to unbalance the right side of his body. She
was not sure if the feint would work; she did not know his style, and was merely testing the waters
to see how he would react.

She didn't waste any time pushing forwards at him. He side stepped her blow with ease, shifting his weight and swinging around so that he stayed balanced. His training had been more harsh than she might realize, as he actually did bleed and get beaten near to death in those fights. In comparison these sparring matches were easy. Well, relatively easy. He still lacked the speed and grace that the others had gained, and while his blows were powerful he just didn't have as much experience as someone older, even with the intensity he'd been living with.

Relentlessly he struck right back, raising his fist and moving to strike her across the muzzle and send her stumbling back. That wasn't a feint at all, just a plain old blow. Disciplining him to hold back his blows was one of those things Aro had been training him on, and he still slipped up occasionally. For him it was just as if it was a real fight, and he battled with all the intensity and focus that he would bring to one. He snapped lightly towards her, leaving his one arm behind to block any potential strikes back.

Alyssum honestly did not believe Raoth was going to be trouble initially. When she had called the pack to hunt, she saw a man huddled up close to Aro and causing tension with Hadley. She thought it was the jitters of being in a new pack, and Hadley was a nervous guy to begin with. But now, whatever benefit of doubt she had for the coyote was quickly swept away with the blow.

The hit across the muzzle spoke loudly, and her instincts that she was nurtured with since she was born kicked in. An automatic growl rumbled in her throat, wordless but never the less getting the point across that she was not happy, and luckily she was pushed away when she was hit or else she would have lunged at the man without a second thought.

Spar, she reminded herself with a tiny voice in the back of her mind. Her lips unfurled themselves at least, but the low, feral growl remained. The happy, homely woman was seemingly forgotten now. The snap was made towards her, and it did land its mark, but she did not allow herself to back away, and aimed a blow of her own against the shoulder of the arm that had struck her. Very little thoughtful reasoning was in her at this point, but she had enough sense left to remain practical and tactical, and restrained; she still did not put the full force into her movements.

She stumbled back at the strong blow. It had felt good, hitting something without holding back. Raoth did it a lot, but that didn't lower his satisfaction in the slightest. He always had a good reason to want to hit something without holding back. Not that he really knew how to hold back. Raoth's tail wagged, his blood burning with excitement for the fight. The growl didn't faze him in the slightest. He had already been taking this seriously. She was just running behind, and now figuring out she had to take it seriously.

His snap slipped past, though she did lose ground again. That had to be worth something, knowing that he was gaining ground against her. She swung forwards, and Raoth twisted to dodge. She was a good fighter as well though, and he felt it knock his arm away. It wasn't very strong. He could feel her holding back. In his mind he heard Aro's voice, admonishing him to be careful, and demonstrating striking in such a manner that it didn't hurt. His jaw tightened, moving forwards to do his best to strike as well.

aly is so rawr

Teeth flashed as the man did not seem phased by the verbal rumbling out from her chest, and she felt something stir within her. It felt as natural as breathing, given her position as the head female of this pack, but the urge to dominate and to put the once sneering man into his place vaguely baffled the part of the woman that was not swallowed up by blind rage. Casa was about as civil as a pack could be, and to feel such a primal emotion was nearly out of place with what she was used to. But, in the end, they were all canines, and no matter how much they acted humane, they were beasts at their center.

Alyssum was not intolerant to pain as some were, but the heat of the fight egged her on, and whatever touch she felt made by the other only moved her forward, whether or not in the end it would only cause her more injury. She felt her fist connect with his arm, and looked to sidestep backwards and out of any retaliation he had laying in wait to respond. Coyotes were fleet footed, and she was graced to have the lithe paws of one. But, she was not the only coyote in this fight.

Another blow was landed, and a ripping, down right snarl went through her. While she did stumble a bit again, there was not a moment's pause, and she went straight into the man's torso, looking to grip him around with arms as her head aimed to slam against his chest. She relied on her brute strength and momentum alone in hopes of downing him and to get him on the floor.

OOC here!

She was slowly picking up, even if she was taking her sweet time doing so. He let loose a low growl of his own, even if it lacked the same insistent manner that hers had. His was more of a defiant sound, refusing to submit, but it didn't ask for her to submit to him. His fist struck against her chest, softer than the first, but still hard enough for him to know that it would leave a bruise. Aly didn't back down though. She actually stepped into the blow, as if he hadn't done anything at all.

Her next step was hard and fast. He managed to partially twist out of the way, but it didn't aid him against her. He might have yelped if he'd been able to. He felt his breath escape as he hit the ground, the ferocious female on top of him. It had hurt being slammed into like that. Raoth battled for breath, drawing it through his lungs. Rolling he growled at the female, doing his best to break free of his grasp and be the one to pin her.
