OOC: Takes place near Deer Lake in the evening.

Shade was in a good mood, having spent some time with a woman named Tali for a good potion of the day. She certainly was something, and that coat of hers was simply stunning. He couldn’t have already developed a crush on her could he? No, certainly not. They had only just met, yet he couldn’t help but hope they would see each other again soon.

Wandering around his new home, Shade stopped near the lake, hearing laughter nearby. Curious, he headed in the direction of the laughter, watching a female playing with a young fox kit from a distance. He moved closer, being sure to make noise so he wouldn’t alarm the female. He stopped and sat down a respectful distance away. Good evening miss. He smiled down to the little kit and continued. And hello to you too little one. He looked back to the woman, a big smile on his face. He your’s?

And that is how you catch some fish, Palaydrian said, forearms and part of her head dripping with water, but the two flopping brown trouts on the lake’s beach was proof of her success. She had spent the afternoon lazing by Deer Lake with her son and decided it was time for Leaf’s first hunting lesson. The kit hungrily clawed at one of the catches, his milk teeth replaced with sharper points as they tore into the prey. Drin was trying to wean the child off, but would nurse him until she had nothing left to give. So far, fish was the easiest thing for her little fox kit to ingest that wasn’t already eaten up and regurgitated by herself. Trout was Leaf’s first “adult” food. She giggled as she watched him gorge himself on sustenance, a few of the scales sprinkling the whispy hairs on his face. You’ll make a fine hunter yet... she mused, as the hairs on her back began to rise.

Someone had unintentionally began to sneak up on her, but as the kind words floated to her through the breeze, Drin relaxed and turned towards the intruder. Another ebony furred wolf within their midsts. She had heard whisperings of newcomers and figured this must be one of them. Tentatively sniffing at the air, Drin identified two things, the scent of Shadow and her mate. Leaf only briefly looked up from his messy meal as the male’s voice called on him, before tearing back into the disappearing flesh. You guessed right, she said, feeling a little odd that yet another wolf wasn’t as surprised by her adoption of said fox kit. Maybe it really wasn’t that big of a deal? The fae relaxed her guard, Jiva had been with this man afterall.

You may approach, I promise not to bite... she said with a teasing smile before turning her attention towards the extra fish. Are you hungry? She asked before sitting back on her haunches and giving her coat a good shake. My name is Palaydrian, and this little guy is Leaf. I take it you’re new here, welcome to New Dawn. Her bi colored ocean eyes regarded him in a friendly manner. It was time for her to stop secluding herself from everyone else. Especially if there were new members to be met, she knew she was lacking on her hospitality these days especially after losing her pups, but with the stranger here, she realized she missed the social aspect of life. Drin decided she’d start to make a change. Besides, not everyone had met Leaf yet and that was simply unacceptable.
