Lost in the Wind

OOC here. /+000

The large hybrid fought against the gusting winds, Amatha held tightly against his body. She had chosen the wrong time to go and play. Everything had just finished being secured when he'd spotted his daughter heading out, chasing a loose piece of wood. The wind shouldn't have been strong enough to even lift that up. The sight had concerned him, following after her as quickly as possible. The pup was growing so quickly, unfortunately, and even without being completely steady on her feet she managed to get some distance. The wind had grabbed her, Amatha's playful giggles turning into frightened screams when she began to be tossed through the air. Thankfully Hadley had grabbed her then.

He had tried turning back, but the ferociousness of the storm had him completely turned around. He couldn't see much with the dirt whipping up. His sense of smell had always been terrible, unfortunately, so he had no idea where he was. Stumbling forwards Hadley walked through the storm, hoping that he'd be able to survive the turmoil around them. Soft whimpers escaped from her occasionally, Hadley doing his best to keep her protected from the debris that was around. A few sharp pieces struck him, the scarred male wincing on occasion at the feeling. Spotting a collapsed tree that had formed a kind of shelter he hurried on, bringing himself and Amatha inside. They'd be safe there. Humming softly he licked at Amatha, hoping that the storm would pass soon.

OOC: Free posting order. Feel free to skip people as well to keep this moving. Ismeme will find Hadley just outside of the gates after a round or two.Remember to look out for flying objects Wink
Word Count:300+

As soon as his paws stepped outside of the Courthouse he was assaulted sharply by the rain and wind. Tucking his head low he used his mass to push him forward, leaning against the wind. He trusted that the three males and Ismeme would be behind him as he pushed forward, leading the group towards the Town Square. Aro and Enzo were use to following their father into danger. The Knight family lived for throwing themselves at the danger so that others may relax in safety and this was no different, but Alister was new. The alpha had been impressed with the young males willingness to work for the pack and believed that he could be trusted to help. Hadley was precious to the pack, the healer of the Brotherhood and a half decent carpenter. Should anyone be injured during the storm or broken they would rely heavily on the male. Jazper had a soft spot for the anxious brown man who had grown from the antisocial slave into one of their strongest links within the pack.

His mind wandered, thinking quickly about what he was going to do. Hadley could be anywhere! He was sure he wouldn’t be too far from the courthouse knowing of the storm but what had he been thinking wandering away like this! He was suppose to be helping board up the place. Raising a lip in a half hearted grumble the leader turned his golden eyes to his eldest son and the dogmix, “You two go search the northern half of the Fort, Isa, Enzo and I will take the south!” He voice was loud, competing with the winds and rain as he gave instructions. The only way they would cover enough ground was if they split into two groups. Motioning for Isememe and Lorenzo to follow him he continued towards the Town Square and began to call, “Hadley!”

OOC Haha Aro and Alister, he is so dead.

Alister's breath was pulled from his lungs as his Sole stepped out the great doors. The wind was a roaring howling tempest, bending the weaker trees and tossing debris all around. The rain came down in a torrential downpour. He could do nothing but stand there frozen on the threshold of oblivion, but when his hazel eyes found Jazper's massive frame standing vigilant against the winds he mustered his courage and followed suit, shield within his grasp in case they were assaulted by flying objects swept up by the wind. The Sole had honored Alister by choosing him to join the search party. It boosted his confidence, and for once he felt sure of himself. Jazper gave him hope for the future, things were looking up or would be...If he survived. He grasped his pendant in his hand, drawing comfort from the steel just as he had when he was a pup. Alister looked towards Isa, offering her a wan, reassuring smile as he put a hand on her shoulder briefly. Whatever their fears, the woman would feel deeper than them all. It was her mate out there, her daughter.

He'd held Amatha in his arms himself, and it worried him tremendously that the sweet child was out there somewhere in the storm. He could only pray that she had found some sort of shelter, that she was yet alive. But they would find them, right? They had to, there was no other option. His ears twitched as his Sole shouted over the winds. Him and Aro? Was that such a good idea? Alister glanced sideways at the black and white pelted man, and suddenly he wasn't so sure. But he made no comment to object, and nodded solemnly. Whatever tension there was between them they had to overcome it. He turned towads him, "Right then, lead the way," Aro was more familiar with the Fort and his superior stature would help them maneuver through the storm.

OOC here!

How could someone and their child be out in this!? He should have been the first to be here! Once his father pushed through the doors, he wasn't far behind, the wind and down pour a force to be reckoned with! He felt if he was off guard he would topple over. He merely leaned into the gusts, eyes squinted to shield them from the small debris kicked up by the howling winds and rain. His ears pressed forward as best they could trying to listen for his father's voice that soon competed with the howling and rushing winds and rain. Once the order was made Aro's eyes merely looked to Alister who seemed unsure of this arrangement. Aro could care less who he was paired with right now. Finding the healer and his daughter was the only priority on his mind. Personal matters were set aside. Ears pressed back to avoid anymore rain from getting in then he growled out trying to overtake the winds and occasional clap of thunder. "Let's go!" He then the man agreed and wished for Aro to lead.

His body was pushing hard against the winds eyes trying to see through any flash of lightening hoping it would reveal the body of Hadley and his daughter, Amatha. "Haaaaddley!" He howled over and over again knowing his howl would carry naturally for miles. But in this weather it was surely cut, but would still be a useful tool within the Fort. He would stay out here until he found the living or dead forms. He hoped living would be what he found. The relief on Isa's face would be a reward for finding Hadley, and the little girl. It would even be a reward to see his father's relief. He knew by seeing how his father protected the ex-slave that the dog mix meant a bit to his father.

"Haaaaaddlleey!" He howled more.

It was horrible. Both Amatha and Hadley were out in the storm. What would Isa do if she lost them both? They meant everything to the silvery woman and now they were outside in the middle of a storm. Her mind wasn’t in the right place. All she wanted was to have them both back inside the courthouse safe and sound. Even her friend Alister couldn’t calm her as he rested his hand on her shoulder with a smile on his face. He couldn’t expect her to smile at a time like this could he?

Isa didn’t even hear what Jazper was saying. Once they started calling out for Hadley, Isa took off, calling for her mate and daughter. Hadley! Amatha! She didn’t slow even though she couldn’t see where she was going. Rain and all kinds of debris was flying at her, practically blinding her. Hadley! She kept going and was a good distance away from the others when a decent sized branch came flying at her. She didn’t even see it until it was right in front of her face. It hit her in the head pretty hard, causing her to fall back. She slowly stood and continued on as her legs wobbled with each step. She had no idea where she was or where she was going, she just had to find her family.
