It's Cold
#1
Dalgina crouched in a corner of the shop, as far away from her mahn as she could manage. She hadn't been sleeping properly, as each time she closed her eyes visions of blood and pain filled her. She couldn't stop shaking. When had it gotten so cold in the shop? Dalgina didn't remember. She hadn't been cold in a long time. Winter had been cold. Dalgina vaguely remembered that, but it was nowhere near how she felt now, the cold seeping in past her fur to her bones. It was rather like being sick.

Where was Ovi? She couldn't find him in the darkness. Dalgina knew he had to be there, and occasionally felt his breath against her, but she never saw him. The fluttering of wings called her at times, but she couldn't fly up to join them. Her dreams had been wasted, and the storm kept going. Was it going to harm someone else she loved? Would Tehu be blown away by the wind? Buried deep she kept her head down, unable to pull herself up. She had to be strong, she knew that, but it was so cold.
