set before the hurricane <3

Ookami's large golden body was taken towards the forest outside of his packlands. He didn't stray far, but he allowed his legs to carry them wherever he wished. He needed privacy, he wanted to be able to cut into his skin and watch his bright crimson liquid flow from the cut. He wanted to feel that pain, it was so invigorating and absorbing, he loved the feeling of causing his own self this pleasure he had found. Both of his forarms were cut from the wrist to his elbow. They were in horizontal lines stretching from one side of his arm to the other. Some were deeper than others, some more fresh and some scabbed over.

He had no intention of killing himself, he just wanted to bleed. He was in control over how much pain he put himself through and that was the only thing he had control over. As he walked through the forest, he found a fallen tree that was laying down in a path. He sat on it and searched the ground. A particularly sharp rock caught his eye and he picked it up, a hunger growing in him.

His fingers grasped the rock as he ran his thumb over the sharp edge. He pressed his thumb down on it, smiling devilishly. He pressed the sharp edge against his skin on his forearm and pressed down on it hard. He felt it prick his skin and he let out a "mm" sound. Then he pressed even further, so it was deep down in his skin. Slowly he dragged the edge across to the other side of his arm, pressing hard and watching blood spill onto his arms. Over and over again he did this on his right arm. When it was completely engrossed in blood and deep cuts, he switched over so that he was doing it to his left. The pain was great, stinging and burning and hurting, but it felt so good at the same time. Blood rolled off his arm, dripping onto the ground steadily. He'd cut really deep this time, and he was glad he did. Maybe next time he would cut even deeper..

ooc: Form: Lupus, sorry for the delay!

Twas not normal that X'ies ventured this far from home. But the male was at times curious as to what lay beyond the shadows of the mountain. Today he found himself captivated by the hint of salt in the air. It helped to clear the lungs and the mind. The mountain was a place of solitude, there his thoughts were calmed by the sound of the wind whistling past the crags and rocks. Here however there were other sounds that were relaxing him to an equal measure. Mother nature had her own lullabies. His relaxation however was brief as the scent of blood stained the once calm haze of his mind, changing it into curiosity and perhaps a hint of worry. The grey wolf stood and followed the scent until he came across another of their kind. The man was strong, large...powerful. But one thing that X'ies noticed was that he was cutting upon himself.

X'ies had heard of some wolves doing this, causing themselves pain. Some even going as far as to end their own lives. In some ways this methodology came into the Lambda teachings. Physical pain would cause one to ignore psychological, the same worked vice versa when applied. He knew that they were effective methods for an integrator to utilize in his craft. But for a wolf to do it to themselves...he had never understood it. The Nomads often looked down upon overt displays of emotion, and this so programmed into them meant that X'ies could not comprehend the kind of mental trauma it would take to cause a wolf to do this. It appeared that this one was large, his body was strong...but his mind and heart were weak. Or at least...so his actions indicated.

"..Careful friend, the blood might attract predators....or may-hap that is the idea?...do you hunt prey so dangerous that it requires such bait? for truly I do not understand your actions otherwise".
