She wasn't in the best of shapes, but she was unharmed. Pride was just ashamed that her attempt at diplomacy with Inferni had gone so poorly. She had learned some from her stay in the clan, such as the fact that the coyotes were divided into groups based on blood and friendship and were rather loosely joined on a larger scale. The clan drew a great loyalty from it's members, and Pride wished she could learn more, but Valkyrie's response to her visit made her rather reluctant to try again. She hadn't done as well as she'd hoped.

Walking through the pack Pride kept her cloak pulled tight. She didn't care for the fact that light was beginning to filter over the land as she slipped through. She much preferred the darkness that had been there before, and the light stung her eyes. She was far too used to a life in the darkness to be comfortable with it. Scanning the area Pride hurried over everything and hoped that she would be able to reach the caves in relative peace. She really needed to rest and collect herself.

Elody had often times sat and pondered over what the activity within the coyote clan was, many times brining confliction to her thoughts, never quite understanding the reluctance to place herself among their ranks. Surely Helotes, her half brother had noticed after their meeting that she had not shown up on the borders to join, and from that would it spark something of true loathing from her relatives? Had she made herself a traitor? It was a little scary, hostility coming from family would never be something she would have the strength to tolerate. What if really, she had hurt them?

The carving she held in her hands was not a masterpiece by a longshot, the head of the raccoon she attempted to form into the soft wood was misshapen, the body much out of proportion. What a sad insult to her dear Reve. Wood chips were curled from the work, if seen from afar surely the Princess could mimic a skilled craftsman. Disappointed, the sad carving was tossed to the ground, to roll at her feet in a grieving manner. Stupid Ellie murmured out in a soft breath, green eyes glaring at it. Perhaps artwork wasn't on her list of specializations, perhaps another skill could be taken up. Elody would cherish the day she advanced from her common rank of Zepar...And the prospect of co-ranks pleased her so.

From where the youth sat herself upon a rock, her legs were just long enough to touch the ground. From the storm, the ground was moist, mud caught up in her delicate toes. So many things confused her so, Itzal, Inferni, and the location of which her siblings spent. Perhaps they had been sheltered from the weather's wrath, perhaps it had become only a small setback to this. And Elody hoped, oh she prayed so much that the outcome would be a better one. She needed to see her brother, golden body, fluffy hair and the belt in which he himself carried his knives, the sloppy belt, falling down his waist--They would train, and everything would go perfectly. A sigh escaped her, Helena's smile far from reach. Was her sister also safe? It was hard to remember her smile, what she was like. Perhaps some things just didn't stick with the coyote as well...

Frustrated, the tawny Lykoi kicked up some mud, not fazed by the sticky brown left on her toes. Soon! Maybe soon she'd find them. But without a horse and her signifigance so lowly, how was a search to be accomplished? Green eyes were brought up from the sound of footsteps, to find a pale coyote girl headed towards the caverns. Perhaps she had seen this one before, maybe just around Anathema, or at the meeting. It did not matter. Her nose twitched to take in the other's scent, finding it mixed with Aeron's. Just as much as Elody was a Princess in her line, through leadership this girl was also. And among the scent was something familiar. Marshes, and the traces of Lykoi and coyote still lingering on her coat. Before the other could continue, Elody with her muddy toes stood in the path of the pale one. Getting right to the point, she allowed some space to be given. You were in Inferni. Her eyes were curious, what information could be brought to her awaiting ears?

Pride was forced to a halt as a coyote slipped in front of her. This was someone relatively new to the pack. Pride frowned at her approach. She was tired, and just wanted to get in to rest. Add in the fact that her diplomacy hadn't gone well and she'd been trapped in a storm away from home and Pride was in a terrible mood. She didn't want to waste her time dealing with idiots. The female before her was slightly muddy. She must have no taste for grooming and actually keeping herself looking well. Pride didn't like her already.

Good job! You can smell the pack on me! It must have been so hard to figure that out. A brilliant smile crossed Pride's features, one with too many teeth showing. Pride moved to go around her, intent on continuing in. You should go tell someone how good you're getting at using your nose. Perhaps they'll have a treat for you. The female was older than her, but that didn't stop Pride from acting snarky. She was in a hurry, couldn't she see that? And Pride didn't want to talk about it. She'd rather analyze what went wrong in private.

OOC: I am so sorry for her use of shit-kickery and being an ass...likely she'll chicken out and apologize her guts out in a few posts xD

It appeared this girl had woken up with more bitch on her plate than common courtesy, which was a little irritating for Elody this time. It was a shame, some had to get to these ends and take it out on others, but perhaps it simply symbolized problems. Disappointing for this one. The words given to her seemed like the sort a puppy would be given, slathered with sticky sweetness and bubbling with fake ooze, Ellie wasn't sure she quite welcomed that. Perhaps she could pull a few more strings, perhaps get something back for this anyway, it wasn't like she was dying for news anyway. Smiling broadly, canines poking out of her lip threateningly, holding undertones of 'watch it' vibes, Elle replied sweetly Oh it wasn't hard sweetie, just had to distinguish whatever it was trying to cloud it. Her light tail swished, stepping back coyly. Helotes had told her that Inferni was a clan, not a pack. Who knew? Perhaps she would refrain from correcting this poor soul. It's really too bad, I've got a lot of family there Elody revealed, glancing off into the far trees to breathe deeply, her raccoon walking around her ankles.

Elody normally wasn't very rude on a normal basis, but today-this meeting simply just made her a little incensed, a little ticked with such blatant disrespect. Decidedly, being treated like less than a juvinile was less than what she expected the other coyote to speak to her as. Her day was less optimistic than she had hoped. Who cared anyway if dear mother Aeron came to this one's defense. Perhaps this one would keep on whatever she planned to do. No problem at all. Sighing and putting on a mock dejected face, Elody mentioned It's fine, I'll head there myself. They'd answer me there anyways. Pausing, Ellie muttered under her breath Wouldn't blame them for thinking you're a wolf. And out of the way she stepped, moving from the pale coyote's reach, giving her the opportunity to slink back to the caverns and figure her own shit out. If she reacted, it sure would make it interesting...

lol im sure pride deserved it

Was that an attempt at an insult? Pride stared at the coyote credulously. That had to be one of the worst insults she'd ever heard. Granted, not everyone had the tongue for it, but the attempt to insult Pride's scent was weak. She didn't smell bad. She smelled of her travels, but she didn't smell bad. She mostly smelled of Inferni and the storm, both of which were scents that had been common where she'd been. Having trouble figuring out what the storm smells like then?

The female's remarks did raise her hackles slightly. Pride had family there as well, not that they'd acknowledge her as such. It was the last remark as she began to head off that really did her in though. Pride was a coyote through and through. More of a coyote than the female before her, even. Straightening up Pride stepped in with the female, her gaze poisonous. You're pretty blind, aren't you? Or perhaps you're just too stupid to figure out what you're looking at. Don't worry, there's plenty that will be willing to use you even if you are.

Perhaps her own words had inflicted something a little more rude onto the shoulders of the other, normally Ellie would end up taking the words back and apologizing in a heartbeat. But maybe this time pride and self-worth had the best of her. Slight guilt was felt, like a small slice on the inside of her; like a long knife running the course on the inside. Her life had been so perfect, surrounded in the arms of family and love--Without fear or concern over life's paths. Perhaps she had blown off a little steam. Ellie disregarded her words, about the scent of the storm amongst the once-vivid smell of autumn wind. Her own words were not chosen as wisely at all. But it gave her something to say at least. The tawny one relaxed her stance, taking on a calm demeanor, long ears twitching. Yeah, Pride was right. Although painted in the tones of snow and cream, this one was likely more coyote through and through. And the way she defended it--Surprised the Lykoi Princess.

Bright green eyes widened slightly, bringing her arms to cross around her non-existent stomach, taking on a face of interest. Softer this time, Elody chuckled, lacking in the previous malice she held before. Wait. Ellie said softly, looking the Angela's daughter over. You haven't forgotten what you are. Elody had head of such coyotes, taking on the wolven ways and almost--well, believing they were wolves! That's...Cool I guess. Not an apology yet, but a little more gentle--And for once, holding a bit of approval. So she had been misjudged. The mottled youth had much expected a coyote thinking she was a wolf, brought up in the more pack-oriented ways than that of biological stimulus, which El thought rather surprising. Coyotes and their hybridages seemed to stick to their own ways...Shy from closer bonds and do what was essential. Sighing, Elody gave Pride space, calmer from the previous temper. What were you doing there anyway?

There was less malice this time, but Pride's anger was still invoked. She met the gaze haughtily, tail slashing behind her. What did this hybrid find so amusing? Elody's words could have been taken as an insult, spoken the way they were. Forget herself? Pride wasn't a fool that would forget what she was. It was easy to tell just by a glance in a pool of water. Elody's words were very peculiar. Pride didn't know what to make of it. She must be very proud of her heritage. It's easy to tell when I don't have muddied blood like you.

The tawny female backed up, giving the pale coyote room. Rubbing absently at her ear Pride shook her head. I was sheltering from the storm. I was caught up in it in the midst of my travels unfortunately. Just looking forwards to being home. The problem of her diplomacy could be worked on then. Her mind was clear enough to allow for that. After some rest and a snack, of course. Pride's desire to be left alone hadn't shrunk, even if her words were slightly more polite.
