Stormy Day Brings Pain
#1
OOC: Set mid-morning on Sept. 23. WC: 300+

IC: Her mind and heart were racing, all from missing Liam, along with other things revolving around her mate. Ayasha was standing outside on the beach of Anathema, ignoring the darkening skies. She felt that they went rather well with her gloomy mood. Her mind went to what her father-in-law said about Liam cheating on her. She had to wonder if he had done multiple times and with multiple women. Not that it really mattered, she supposed though it would be better if it was a one-time thing only. What would she say to him when he got back? She had no idea nor was she inclined to talk to anyone to help her.

Albus was flying around when he landed on her shoulder, squawking about something. She glanced at him before she settled her gaze back to the stormy sea. The wind had started to pick up and so did the rain but still she stayed on the sea shore, gazing thoughtfully and unseeingly out at the choppy water. Her hair first whipped around but eventually became plastered to her head. It was hard to tell if she was crying or not, she wasn't even sure. Then there was a gust of wind and a crack from a nearby tree. She looked up in time to see a branch to come towards her. She put up her hand but only made the sharpened stick slice open her right cheek. She was cold enough that she could barely feel it but her paw touched her cheek and there was a lot of blood. She swore, placed her hand back on her cheek, and then went to find Panda, pretty sure that she remembered hearing that the bi-colored female was in the Temple of Helios. So Ayasha headed there, the pain obvious despite her feeling cold. It was pretty sure she'd need stitches. "Panda? I need your help!"

By morning, Aeron had left the temple. Panda and Venom had long fallen asleep to the sounds of the rain and the wind, and still, even when the sun was supposed to be shining, it was dark and gloomy outside of the temple, and no light penetrated the haunted Temple of the Sun God, Helios. It was not as if the two wiccans cared much for the sun anyways, for the moon was their mother, the Sun was merely their father, while they worshipped him too, they had a particular closeness to the Moon. The two slept through the morning though, Panda's body held as close as possible to Venom, to escape the chill that the storm brought on. They also were under a few pelts, but still there was a chill in the air that was not to be easily rid of. Their group of animals were also slumbering, even the birds. Octopus and Junior took their spot next to the two luperci, while Vitani took a corner in the back of the temple. Listr, Snek, and Serenade all found high perches in the temple where they rested as well.

Panda was well into dream-land, and she dreamt of the man next to her. She dreamt of him and her doing rituals with the pack, and she dreamt of her love for Venom growing. How it could grow, she didn't really know. Either way she dreamt of these things and she was happy. She snuggled into the chest of the larger luperci, her arms curled into her chest and her head in his chest, while his arms were draped around her. Things were calm for some time, and the group did not worry about a thing, despite the rushing wind and the pounding rain. Panda and Venom knew a lot about Hurricanes, and this Hurricane was nothing compared to the ones that they had seen. They simply could sleep the whole storm away and be comfortable doing so if they remained uninterrupted.

It did not seem like they would be able to sleep much longer though. The shouting of her hand over the wind made her jump out of her sleep. Her jumping up caused Venom to wake up, which caused Octopus and Junior to wake as well. The birds heard the shuffling and they sleepily stirred as well, Listr even lifting a leg and scratching his head. Ayasha came through the Temple's door, and Panda moved from Venom's grasp and she got up and started to walk over to Ayasha. Panda noticed that the woman was bleeding from her face, and then realized that, yeah she was needed to do her job. Oh, Ayasha. How'd this happen? she asked the woman as she turned to get her medical supplies that she needed to deal with the woman's wound.

As she went into the Temple, she heard some movement but wasn’t really aware that she had woken anyone up. But she did hear the sounds of a bunch of crows and watched Albus to see if he was bothered by the other birds but he simply looked around him curiously, seeming to not really notice or care about the other birds. So she simply stroked his beak gently with her free hand, while they waited for Panda to appear.

It didn’t take long for the medic to appear and she noticed Ayasha's wound right away. Ayasha gave a wry smile and explained, "I was being stupid and standing out in the storm when a tree branch splintered and caused a sharpened stick to come at me. Luckily it sliced into my cheek and not my eye." She already nearly lost an eye from her fight with the Raven Guardians. Though she didn’t feel that she needed to tell Panda why precisely she was out in the storm. She liked the black and white female but she wasn’t sure how many people knew that Liam was gone and then she would have to explain why he was gone and then people would worry too much about her and try to kick Liam out. So she simply took her hand away from her cheek for it to be looked at.

Word Count → 655 :: Also, this is technically the first thread i have as Panda as a Malpas. I didn't know i was being promoted before we started this thread. She'll still do her healing stuff, but it's not her job anymore lol.

It was funny how engraved her 'duty' was into her mind. She had forgotten that the night before the Angela promoted her to Malpas. A council member that was in charge of the birds and the rituals. It was no surprise that she dreamt of rituals, because she was now the main shaman of the pack (essentially) and she was the one who was supposed to instill some religion into these caves of Outcasts. Panda came to this realization when she cast her gaze to the bird that sat upon Ayasha's shoulder. She chuckled nervously. She didn't know what to say to Ayasha. She'd known the woman for some time, and it was weird to finally be able to say "Hey, I'm a council member now." without it sounding like she was gloating or something. She decided that it was best for Aeron to tell others of her new position rather than her speak of the promotion that came from nowhere. Instead, she would do her duties as a Corson. She listened as the woman explained that she was out in the storm and a branch got her. Panda nodded her head. Why anyone would actually go out in the storm was beyond her but then again, the woman was raised where Hurricanes were common and everyone knew what to do during them.

The Malpas noticed something in the woman's aura, something that told her that something else was wrong. The last time Panda had really seen Ayasha was when she was giving birth, and Panda slightly wondered where her children were now. She hoped that they were safe. Are your children safe? asked the Malpas before she walked up to the woman with her supplies in her bag and she looked at the cut on her face. It looked like it would need a few little stitches, which were nothing to take care of. What about Liam? asked the woman, noticing that for mates, the scent of the male on her had been faint. Last she knew, they were a happy couple, and Panda had not seen Liam, nor scented him in some time, so she knew not of what was going on with them.

It was then that the Council Guard moaned and shuffled around in his sleep. He felt around blindly, not wanting to wake up, but the absence of Panda made him finally open his eyes and blink a few times. He looked around the temple, and then once he found the form of the woman, (he did not notice Ayasha right away) he groaned. Come back to bed, my Malpas. the male suggested to the woman and he patted the open spot next to him. Ayasha is here, Venom. She's hurt and I need to help her. the woman quickly responded to the male before he peeked around the form of the large Malpas to see the smaller form of the Seere. Oh, good morning, Ayasha. spoke the Italian as he looked at the pale form of the woman. He did not stay sitting up for long though, because he still was exhausted. Last night was long, and Venom very much just wanted to sleep. He more than likely wouldn't be able to now that Panda was up and about. He closed his eyes and kept his ears perked to listen. We had a late night, Ayasha, so excuse him. spoke the woman before she motioned for the woman to be seated so she could begin. She sat down herself, so that she could be on the same level as the woman.

While she waited, she took out a bottle of alcohol, a clean rag, thread and a needle. She got the thread and needle ready to stitch the woman's wound up by putting the thread through the end of the needle and she dipped the needle in alcohol to sanitize it.
