Pups were wonderful beings. Peacefully asleep, tucked into the den, Terra just loved curling around their fuzzy bodies. They were nice and warm, and she loved being close to them. They were easiest to protect when asleep, and she didn't have to worry about them getting into harm. When they were asleep, it was also extraordinarily easy for Terra to slip out without them noticing. They were sleeping through the night without waking up now, and that meant that she could get away to do whatever she wanted.

Laughing softly to herself Terra stretched, letting herself slide out of her lupine form into optime. It wasn't her favorite form, but it had it's uses. Stretching she let her limbs loosen up as she moved through the dark night. The moon was only a sliver, and it would be hard to figure out who it was walking through the night. Sure, scent could be used, but she wasn't planning on going anywhere that scent could be used to identify her. Tail swaying she headed for the border, eager to find what mischief she could get into this night.

He watched her emerge from her den. The red lady he wasn’t allowed to speak with, but Ro insisted they defy his parent’s wishes and keep tabs on her. Terra, a friend of the two, though Heiro always felt uneasy on these little escapades. Watching her from afar made him feel like a creep, but Ro claimed it was keeping good reconnaissance, a word he had recently learned in one of his books. They were being good spies and detectives just like this Sherlock Holmes character he so admired. Of course Heiro always played Watson to Ro’s Sherlock.

Heiro would often see the Baroness getting into naughty things which only made her all the more enticing to watch for the dark furred wolf, Ro. Tonight he’d finally bridge the gap and speak to her, that’s if he got up enough courage to do more than just follow her from the shadows. She shifted into her optime form like he, and began making her way to the borders. Here’s our chance, go talk to her! Ro commanded at his side, pushing the hybrid forward and out from cover. The navy-eyed boy collected himself before speaking of his presence. Hey Terra, he called gently, not wanting to interrupt the stillness of the night. He strode more confidently towards her suddenly feeling very bad and brave for going against his father’s wishes.

Terra paused, glancing about. She had the feeling someone was watching her. It wasn't the first time she'd gained that feeling. Heiro must be about. She had figured out that he was watching her, but couldn't figure out why. Frankly, she didn't care since he stayed out of the way, but each time she grew aware of his presence it would throw her off for a beat before she managed to continue. Shaking her head Terra stepped forwards again, tugging on her hair as if she had just been pausing to untangle it, flecked eyes studying her surroundings. She wouldn't let herself get caught.

The call from behind grabbed her attention. Heiro's movement was slightly clumsy, but quickly slipped into something more confident. Grinning she pushed her hair back and stepped closer to him. Tired of watching? He was growing well. The young hybrid looked as clumsy and long legged as she had at his age. Terra didn't miss that. Life had been hard then, always fighting back starvation. I was just going to step out. Care to come with me? It was partly a challenge, wondering if he would have the nerve to follow. Terra didn't know how much he had seen, but surely he had an idea of why his parents disliked the idea of him being with her.

Surprise registered on Heiro’s face for a second before his features relaxed back into his handsome youth. Terra had called him out, but a feeling opposite of disappointment filled his breast. It would have been foolish of him to think the woman hadn’t been suspicious of his own activities all along. They were kindred spirits in tricks and he was beginning to see why Ro found her so enticing. A roguish smile split his dark colored lips as he nodded his head vehemently in answer to the fire haired woman. If his thoughts were so consumed by Keldava he may have found himself hitting on the pack member, but Terra represented a colleague of sorts, or a mentor whom he could learn many devious feats from.

Her suggestion seemed benign enough, but Heiro was no stranger to challenge-laden comments. Ro was the king of those and Hei had never been one to back down from a dare. Lead the way M’lady, he returned, wicked grin still plastered on his face as he came closer. He absentmindedly brushed his jet black wavy hair behind his shoulder, it was amazing how fast it had grown. He could feel Ro’s scarlet eyes watching from the shadows, burning thoughts of approval into his head. This was what the shadow fiend wanted, but so did Heiro. He wondered what they’d get into tonight, but what he’d seen so far, he knew it would be something entertaining and deliciously mischievous.

The worst part was the knowledge that Heiro was going to end up taller than her. She didn't stand close enough to him to find out if he'd already surpassed her, but if he hadn't he would soon. He smiled at her easily, not the least bit irritated or surprised that she'd known. Terra wouldn't let anyone catch her so easily of course. If she truly was going to keep hidden he wouldn't have been able to find her. Terra was awfully good at slipping away from others. She had to be really. Without that Terra would be dead. She took far too many chances to let herself be caught by any of those that might have a need to.

She grinned at his response, and turned back. Terra slipped over the border, walking with an ethereal grace as her steps danced over the land. The faint light the night gave was enough for her. Terra didn't miss much, listening to the scampering of various creatures in the woods. There weren't as many as there were during the day. Her head lifted as the scent of a canine reached her. Grinning wickedly she glanced back at Heiro. Someone's sleeping rather peacefully. Dangerous. Who knows what could be out here?
