OOC Laughs

She had to see her. Dalgina would be leaving for a trip to Freetown soon with her sister, but Dalgina needed someone who always managed to cheer her up. Dalgina remembered being upset and how easily Kiara had made her laugh, even when she'd been forced to face the fact that Ichika didn't exist anymore. It had been a long time, but she wasn't going to put it off anymore. She should have gone sooner actually, when things had first started getting bad. Taru wasn't a super hero after all. She couldn't look after Dalgina and her pups. The death of the pups had just been so painful.

Pushing that aside Dalgina continued forwards. She was in the north now, and sooner or later she had to come across New Dawn. She was an adult now, it was pretty clear to see. Her ears were pierced, and the splotches of paint that used to mark her fur had been replaced by tattoos, a beautiful one of a kestrel on her inner wrist and a red outline of a rose on her left hip. It wasn't done yet, but it would be soon. Bracelets covered both her arms, as well as a couple anklets and necklaces that almost buried the pendant that connected her to her siblings. If she could still claim that connection. Dalgina managed to move without sound though, just a beautiful proud wolf passing through with as much presence as a ghost.

A moment stolen was a moment preserved as long as she could make it her own. Again the wandering paws of the Nomad took her beyond the family borders to the open plains along the coast nearing the northern threshold. Guided not only by the wanderlust but eh black from soaring overhead, she was taken to parts hardly ventured for the sake of stretching her aching limbs.

With news of her circumstance, she was inclined to take more care in her travel, knowing better than to exert herself to exhaustion but did well to mind her activity. Where training was out of the question, a healthy jog, she reasoned, could hardly be counted as harmful. And with the eager wings of her companion beckoning her to follow, how could she remain idle behind the borders just waiting to grow larger? As long as the Family knew of her wanderings after the fact, she could see no reason to keep herself from this cherished pleasure.

She raised her voice to her companion with a request to take her somewhere less travelled. Guide her steps to different terrain and invited her senses to experience something beyond the norm. Guide, was what she said to him and followed him truly with four large paws eagerly striking the ground in pursuit.

OOC Laughs

Her ears perked up at the sound of a voice carrying through the air. Who was that? Dalgina turned away from where she had been headed towards the west, her dainty steps carrying her more swiftly with her curiosity. She was actually surprised she had any curiosity left in her. Perhaps it had come when she had been taught how to fight, and now carried her own blade with her. Perhaps it was when she had lost so many of her family and learned that she couldn't stand strong for them all. Perhaps it was when she moved past the despair that had threatened to consume her, and chose to simply observe life instead.

The female that she saw now was a stranger to her. She had a thick golden coat like Ookami, and while large still didn't reach Ovi in size. Tehu let out a cry from above, challenging the other bird. Dalgina looked up to notice the large companion, shaking her head. Hopefully the kestrel wouldn't start throwing insults. Keeping him in check was rather difficult. Pausing Dalgina lowered her head with respect to the female. Namaste kanyana. Where are you off to?

Along the avian's path was another; dark feathered and spritely and calling for his claim to the air. The Nomad would turn her head up again and notice with pleasure the command taken by her able companion. His dexterous form wove in and out of the song bird's path to give it ample room without relinquishing his place within the endless blue. Twice he screeched to the golden female below, making her aware of the quiet presence coming toward her along her wild path.

As he gaze returned to the earth she paused in stride making herself noticeable to the dark form as it came nearer. Then with a sound whine, she called her companion down to take his place on her shoulder; a second set of eyes should the bird observe a gesture the Nomad's own might miss. Both observed the same respectful gesture, but one pair of golden eyes appeared to widen by the greeting words. Namaste? A stout ear twitched curiously. It had been a long time since she heard that greeting as it had been the ingrained mantra of a pack now gone. "Oh." the Nomad voiced in mild surprise. "It has been several seasons since I heard that greeting. But yes... good day to you," she dipped her autumn crown briefly in turn. "I am simply on a walk before I return home. The terrible rains have passed and days like there are not to be wasted away in dens. And what of you, young one? Caught by the spell of wanderlust?"

OOC Laughs

Dalgina couldn't help but giggle as the older bird outsmarted her kestrel, twisting out of the way and avoiding the challenge in such a way that Tehu was left floating in the air with a rather baffled expression. He'd been given what he wanted, but he felt that he'd missed something. Cold brown eyes looked down to the large female before her, the smile still on her lips. This lady was a stranger to her, and Dalgina wouldn't be opening her heart to her at any time soon. She had lost too much to trust with ease. Dalgina noticed the reaction and laughed gently, remembering that few would understand the greeting.

Tilting her head Dalgina stared at her. Another former member of Ichika. Dalgina didn't hold any memories of members with golden fur like this. She remembered a soft red female, and Kiara, and vague canines that also existed in her world. That was the end of her fading memories of youth. The storm was terrible. I've come up to visit a friend. I haven't seen her in a spell. The actual emotions behind her words were repressed, simple polite words that meant nothing without the emotion that she kept hidden. You hail from Ichika then. The pack's been scattered far.

Recalling Ichika was a somewhat bitter sentiment that subtly dipped the nose of the Nomad downward. Her eyes were partially obscured by an indifferent shroud of her wild bangs and lids half-mast, but some life could be see through tendrils gently teased by a soft wind. Upon her lips formed a neutral smile, a kind acknowledgement to the past better left untouched.

"I have heard..." she replied softly, though had little knowledge of any she used to lead. "It was unfortunate that they could not remain together... but perhaps it was for the better." On her shoulder, the steely claws of the vulture dug deeper in to grate the delicate flesh. She glanced to him from the corner of her eye then looked again to the female and beyond her to grounds not yet crossed.

"But pardon me young one," lifting her head, the Nomad advanced a step forward. "Do not let me keep you from seeking your friend. But as a word of caution, there are three known groups within this area still recovering from the storm. Please take care in remembering this if any you cross are...less than hospitable."
