Rabbit Lake, mid morning, cloudy with occasional sun and threats of rain. | +241

Ibycus

Small waves lapped at the shore as Ibycus sat upon a rock and looked out over the lake. A rabbit was slowly disappearing into his stomach as he picked the meat off the bones and enjoyed the view. About a month ago, he had looked upon the lake and decided to spend some time there. Enjoying the scenery that the lands had to offer and to take a break from his wanderings. He had no place to go and was in no hurry to get there and thought it would be a nice vacation from his usual wanderings.

His eyes roamed over the view as he noted the snags and stumps scattered here and there among the forest where trees had broken off during the big storm that had blown through a while back. There was also a lot of extra limbs and other detritus littering the shoreline where the winds had blown some of the broken branches and other debris into the water and then onto the beach.

As he picked the last of the rabbit meat from the bones he pondered if it was time to move on. He had been working his way south and was thinking of continuing in his wanderings. He was thinking about either continuing south or changing directions and heading east or west or any other direction. The clouds slowly moved by overhead occasionally letting the sun show through as they pondered the idea of raining.

Lupus form| wearing a purple sea-shell necklace
hope you don't mind me tossing her in ^^

The swollen underbellies of sullen clouds hung overhead; shadows danced eerily, brought into being by the pale streams of prismatic light. The gaze of the mink damsel roved leisurely over the shapeless forms, laziness made her lids heavy, a tranquil state of mind kept the pace of her stroll slow. A scent brought her promenade to an instant halt, blood and musk hung faintly in the air; the first filling her with predatory excitement, and the second with borderline worry.

Searching eyes honed in on the source a moment later. Men tended to be so protective over every little things, and even more so their meals it often seemed to her, but her rumbling stomach urged that she at least try for a bite. The airflow suddenly switched completely; new winds now chased at the mutts dark strands, the gentle gusts teasing the follicles at her tail, coaxing the limb pompously over the slope of her rump. She did not move, merely watching from a distance, briefly checking over her shoulder to be sure no others were around.

Her scent and form were almost certainly known to him; but she was swift, and was confident in escaping if only he decided to give chase. It would have been rude to turn away possible conversation either way. Confident that the situation was manageable, the mutt angled herself towards him, cheerfully barking to vocalize her presence. "'Ello there."

Slinking steps were muted by force of habit, footfalls kept light as sinew rolled smoothly sashaying limbs toward him. She kept her distance though, both respectfully and out of natural caution, but her gaze shamelessly scoured the ground to see if any food related remains could be seen. Alas, it seemed she'd missed the meal.

I am surprised that anyone would post. Ibby is optime. | +200

Ibycus

The breeze ruffled his fur as the wolfdog continued sitting on the rock and contemplated the lake and his future travel plans. Ibycus' tongue licked the rabbit blood off of the fur that covered his hands. Then his tongue cleaned the fur on his muzzle, getting the blood and any bits of meat that got stuck in his hair and whiskers. He pondered the various directions that he could go. His thoughts threw out the direction that he came from as he wanted to see new things given that he was exploring the area.

There was a change in the wind that brought a new scent to his nostrils and he sniffed at the air and breathed it in as he tried to identify it. Ibycus did not recognize the scent of the female that was approaching and he was a bit surprised as he had not ran into anyone the whole several weeks that he had stayed in the area of this lake. When the voice came from the figure that was approaching, he looked around and eyed her and deciding that she was not threatening, Hello Signora, how are you? he answered back with his Italian accent.

Ah, was I not supposed to post? ^^;

As his tongue swept the delightful crimson stain from his lips, her ears twitched, the only clue of her restraining her own tongue from a greedy sweep.
Though large, the male seemed quite friendly, friendly enough for her to feel comfortable in her choice to sidle a bit closer. Her ears pivoted forward to catch his accent, analyzing the foreign sound with a faint smile. "The day finds me quite well, monsieur." The soft alto slipped casually past her lips; having been met with a foreign tongue, she felt it would be acceptable to respond in one as well. "And what of yourself? I 'ope I did not intrude upon your picnic."

Her head tilted curiously to the side with the inquiry, letting the breeze dance across the hairs of her face at a different angle. The hybrids eyes would drift subtly along the strangers form, not quite sure about the extent of his openness, and whether or not her company was even welcome. Still, the ghost of a smile resided lightly at the corners of her lips. A subtle shift of slender legs phased her frame from its idle stance, but the motionless poise overtook her posture a mere moment later, as prepared to sit and stay as she was to walk away.
