non-manditory, pack meeting.

Noah knew that something was wrong, and all was not good in the pack. His mother had vanished...Noah had been trying to find her after the hurricane, however sadly all scent traces of her had vanished; heck her scent in the pack den was slowly vanishing. That scared Noah enough; however when Fayne had her litter the white lady was no where around. The male had only told Sky, he knew of all the members that he could confess this fear in, she would be the last one to worry herself overly sick, as he did worry with telling Fayne.

No more…he could not force himself to hold it back any more. The male stepped out of the birthing den that was being lived in by the small family till the pups. He did not want to leave Fayne alone with the pups, she was so beat from birthing (or so he assumed) that he didn’t have the heart to leave her, not yet. Moving a good three miles away from the birthing den that Fayne was in, just so she wouldn’t be able to come. It was a very mean act and the male would expect the Gamma to punish him, but this was for her best interest. The last thing that was needed was for stress to cause her to lose the supply of the pup’s only food. He would tell her in due time.

Finding a small area in Glen Eyrie, that the pack could meet, and find shade from the sun, the male stepped up onto a small rock, as he lifted his head to the sky, asking all of the members that were able body to come to the meeting.

When the news of puppies spread through New Dawn it was all Kiara could do to keep herself from approaching the birthing den. She wanted to see Noah and Fayne's pups so bad that it almost hurt. Yet, she didn't dare get within a hundred wolf lengths of the den. Kiara remembered the time when Lucia and Kohaku were born, she remembered her own protective urges and how paranoid she had been. Fayne didn't need the extra stress, and Kiara did not want to be chased off by the new mother. So she stayed away. She stayed away from the birth and away from the den. When Fayne was ready, Kiara would be more than happy to approach. Until then, the uninfected female didn't dare even ask.

A howl broke through the air and interrupted Kiara's meal. She lifted her stained muzzle away from the fish, white ears twitching as she listened to the call. Noah was calling a meeting? Kiara took a few more bites before shaking herself to a standing position. With a quick rinse in the stream, she sprinted the short distance to where Noah's call came from.

It seemed like forever since the last time they had talked although they were once again in the same pack. Sapphire eyes looked up to the grey scarred wolf, his much larger form standing tall upon the rock. Most wolves dwarfed her, so Kiara was used to being smaller. Yet, the extra height added by the rock made Kiara feel almost uncomfortably aware of her small stature. As she approach him, Kiara swallowed her discomfort and gave a few quick greeting licks to Noah. "Congrats on your puppies being born. So what did you call for?"

301 - Sky wasn't there for the birthing of Fayne's pups, 'cause she was too busy getting busy with Shawchert. Tongue

She was buried in her work again. Pretending her problems didn't exist. Which was fine, because the clinic would need plenty of work to be ready for winter. Shawchert worked along side her, their mutual silence an eerie thing. Cody, too. He wasn't near them as he worked, though. He was busy on the roof, hammering in the winter planks that would keep the inside dry and safe. The little family was busy, so when Noah's call sounded in the near distance, their stop was gradual. Sky set down the roll of cloth she'd been using as wall covers and looked towards the den. Without a word, she shifted down and headed there, Shawchert following close behing and Cody remaining at the clinic to finish his work. She called a thank you to him as it faded into the shadows of the tree behind them.

She took up the lead, trotting at a steady pace until the gray Delta came into view. With a soft cooing sound, she pressed her face against his neck as she came to sit near him, torn ears perking in curiousity. She offered a friendly hello to Kiara, who'd arrived before her, in the form of a lick to the ear. The scent of Tharin was disgusting on her pelt, but whatever- to each their own. "Is everything alright, brother? The pups are okay? Fayne?"

Shawchert came to slowly sit down nearby as well, struggling with his hip as he folded his legs beneath him. His own silvery blue eyes settled on the trio, curious to know the same things as his unofficial mate voiced. If he wasn't needed this time around, he'd be happy to return to his work. For now, he'd remain, curious and concerned for the man his beloved called 'brother'.

Zalen had found himself gravitating more and more towards Adonia, only as her belly grew. Also, when he was around her, he felt like all the worries that were pressing down on him were lifted. It was a good feeling, and the new news of Fayne’s healthy litter only helped to spurn his own excitement for his unborn puppies. His children would have ones their age to learn and play with, this was a good thing.

Zalen had been lying near Adonia in the main den when Noah had called and it had broken him from his reverie and his head snapped up, all the worries suddenly flooding back to him. Yes, Deuce and Tali, they were missing. He lifted himself up quickly and trotted out of the den, towards Glen Eyrie, where the call had come from. He broke out into a run and was soon there, others already gathered. He rubbed against Kiara and Sky in greeting but looked up to the new father, almost in reverence, but also in anticipation of what he would say. His mother was missing, perhaps he already had made plans to find her, plans that Zalen would definitely endorse.

Suddenly though, a scent came to him that startled him, and he realized it was coming from Sky. It was subtle, she had obviously bathed, but it was a mix of heat scent as well as sex. He looked at her with wide eyes for a moment but did not say anything, now would not be the time. It was obvious who would have mated with her; Shawchert; his scent clung to her fur, and they did live together. The Alpha was suddenly wrought with what to do; usually punishment would be doled out, but he might have to make some kind of restitution in this case. He let out a sigh and looked back to Noah expectantly.

Got OOC permission to be here, since it's his mom and all. <3 Sky, making a few minor assumptions of how our thread will go. <3<3

He wasn't far from his brother when the call came. Despite his preference, the pale scholar was in his lupine form, the preferred form of the pack most of his family was part of. He had seen Sky when he'd come into the lands, but the faint scent of Shawchert had missed his attention then. Tal was near Noah, but not so close as to seem like he was butting into the pack. Was it sad he was glad Myrddin wasn't here? The wilder ways were good and fine for the new Dawn wolves, but Tal felt uneasy following their customs.

Uneasy. His nose, once well trained to seek out Sky's scent in the pitch black, could now distinguish what about her had put him in unease. Or perhaps it was the way Shawchert seemed to be lingering by her possessively. The pale scholar pulled his eyes away, to his brother. He knew his mother was missing, his brief conversation with Sky had told him that. He supposed that was why Noah was calling to the pack.

Tal settled on his haunches, casting the occasional covert look at Sky and Shawchert, an undefinable emotion gnawing at him. Not just about the assumed couple, but for his mother and the safety of his family.

Tharin's joy over the pups had been dampened at the sight of Saki. He still had to watch out for her, and he wasn't exactly the best parenting material out there. At least Kiara could help him now, though he still didn't feel that she was getting the best care that she could receive in New Dawn. He'd settled down and groomed over the pup, worried over her future. How was she going to hunt, or serve the pack with a crippled leg? She wasn't healing in the slightest. It was worrisome.

The howl grabbed his attention, trotting out swiftly to see what was happening. Noah didn't normally call for the pack. He was a new father, so perhaps he wished help hunting prey for his new family? Saki followed at as quick a speed as she could, hobbling at his side. Perhaps Noah could help Tharin with Saki. Noah was a cripple as well after all. Putting those thoughts behind him he looked around the gathering. No one really seemed to know what the call was for, so not a hunt. He waited quietly for clarification.

WC:431, members are still welcomed and encouraged to join.

The male was pleased with the amount of members that did show up, he was touched, and he was very sure Deuce would be thankful also and would tell each and every member how happy she was for all of their effort once she had returned to her pack, with her brother’s, sister’s, son, and granddaughters. Noah knew that her rightful place was with him, in New Dawn. He would demand that justification be made for whoever, or whatever took her and held her captive for this long. This was an act of war, and he would not stop looking for her or seeking justification for their action, Deuce was wanted, and she was needed within New Dawn, she had a powerful set of skills, none that could be matched by any other member.

The male, like the regal lion greeted each and every member that came to his call. Faces and names were noted, and the male understood the importance of each and every male. After the mess was over with and his mother was returned to the pack lands, and she was safe and happy, he would thank them, he would shower them in pelt’s and fresh kills. With his good leg firmly planted into the ground, he looked at every single one in the eyes, letting them know they had been seen. ”Thank you each and every one of you for coming.” He started off; his voice was smooth, not skipping a beat. ”Firstly, I would like to say how great it is how we all pulled together as a pack and made it though the storms. “ With that came the change of tone, he was matched with anger and rage at the thought of someone holding his mother back.

Mismatched blue eyes rolled over looking for his white littler mate, he was glad he was there to hear this information. ”One of our pack sisters has vanished. I have hunted for her scent trail but it’s gone missing. We must find her, ALIVE!” The monster’s voice boomed as he demanded that Deuce be found alive. ”Tal, on your way home, please check with Jazper, and leaders of Cour Des Miracles. I will make a trip up to see the leaders of Vinatta, and Sangi’lak. Any member, who would like to step up and take any of the other packs, would be great.” Noah wanted the family back together, where he knew she could be respected and loved. This wasn’t like Deuce to up and leave without a reason, or even a warning as to where she had gone.

Just as her greeting was finished, other wolves came. Sky was the first to arrive after Kiara, who had stepped back to allow the Delta room. Kiara watched Sky and offered an equally friendly hello when the tawny female approached. For a brief moment, the arctic female wondered if the other's would comment about her and Tharin. What would they think? Would they even notice? Kiara and Tharin normally stuck to one another so they usually smelled like each other anyways. But, with their recent mateship approved and consummated, perhaps she smelled more like Tharin than usual. Sky said nothing and didn't seem to react, her mind on more important matters.

Without realizing it, Kiara had been holding her breath and let it loose in a long stream. The heat scented female made her nervous and Kiara couldn't help but feel on edge around her. Shuffling her feet, the arctic female tried to get comfortable as Zalen approached. With the Alpha present, the epsilon lowered her ears respectfully and gave the large wolf a greeting lick as he rubbed against her. After Zalen came a white wolf that Kiara did not recognize. His scent was that of the pack that had come to trade, one of the more human packs in Nova Scotia. Kiara eyed the male with interest for a moment as she wondered about his pack and way of life.

All of her curiosity for the stranger left as Tharin and Saki arrived in the meeting. Saki was still hobbling and Kiara couldn't help but feel her heart break. Standing, Kiara moved to Tharin's side and nuzzled both her mate and Saki affectionately before settling back down on a soft patch of earth. With the gathering place full of curious and worried wolves, Noah began to speak. Another wolf was missing.

The news hit home for Kiara and her chest tightened. Resting her large head on her paws, Kiara's thoughts trailed to her son. Kohaku was still out there, with Amy and away from his rightful place. She had been given a chance to bring him back, but had been less than useless on that mission. Now Noah's mother was missing and Kiara felt that same feeling of helplessness return. Rising her head at the call for action, Kiara spoke. "I can talk to the coyotes of Inferni. See if any of them have seen her."

Tharin licked over Kiara softly, enjoying the affection. It might not look any different to outsiders, but for him he was finally settled with his mate, and enjoying every instant he spent with her. He buried his nose in her coat for a second before pulling it out and listening. He hadn't expected Noah to speak with such authority. The congratulations on surviving the storm seemed a foolish and unnecessary action to him. They had celebrated their survival the way that most did, by moving on, and living life without dwelling in the past. His reference to coming together for the storm also struck him as odd. Why wouldn't the pack have done so?

The sudden rage lifted Tharin's hackles, afraid for a moment that Noah would be attempting a revolt and attack the pack. Or that he had the madness. Neither proved true as he spoke. Deuce was missing? He let that roll through his head. Tharin didn't know many packs. Well, he did know one. He had spoken to members of Cercatori d'Arte, and a curious warrior from Anathema had come to see him before. I could speak to Anathema. See if they have spotted her.

Others gathered and Zalen was proud of his pack-mates; they would come to anyone's call, and this showed a strong bond between them all, something very important to their survival. Noah spoke about exactly what Zalen had thought, the disappearance of his mother. This was the first time the Alpha had seen Noah be so forceful, so dominant; it was somewhat surprising and Zalen found himself hanging on every word. It was obvious the new father was extremely worried about Deuce’s disappearance.

The others seemed to be worried as well, and Kiara was quick to offer going to Inferni to ask around, and Tharin offered to travel to Anathema. Noah also suggested their guest, Taliesan from Cercatori, ask Casa di Cavalieri on his way back home. Zalen was impressed with their ideas, I approve of all these suggestions. Deuce needs to be found, I’m worried for her, and she is our best healer. We must find what has happened to her. He nodded at Noah, I will ask X’yrin, perhaps Deuce suddenly had the urge to visit Titania. The more word we can get out the better chance we have of finding her.

The Alpha then became silent; this was no his show, he just wanted the others to know he supported the search for Deuce. Noah had asked for the help, and the help he would receive. He truly hoped that the white female was alright, and now that her former mate had arrived he felt even more driven to have her back home.
