Set for the 12th

Hadley had come to Amatha that morning, telling her they were going to take a trip. She immediately became excited, unsure where they were going but still excited that they were going to go somewhere new. New to the small pup at least. Amatha asked where they were going but her father refused to tell her, saying it was a surprise. Amatha was just happy that they were going somewhere together and that her father wasn’t mad at her for running off. She had been gone for quite some time the other day, having gotten lost well outside Casa grounds. At least she had been rescued and brought home by a nice man. The young pup couldn’t remember his name though, just what he looked like.

She was carried the whole time, probably because Hadley didn’t want her getting lost again. The young girl was always wanting to explore everything around her and tended to get into trouble because of it.

The pair arrived at the border of a pack that was unfamiliar to Amatha. It smelled a little familiar though and she realized it was the same scent that the man who saved her carried. The young pup quickly became excited again, squirming in her fathers arms as she tried to get down.

OOC you dont wanna make him cry XD

It was about time he headed down to Aniwaya to see them again. Hadley liked keeping tabs on the pack that he worked as an ambassador for. He brought some herbs with him and other small medical supplies in case it was needed. Deciding that it was a good idea to start teaching Amatha about cultures that weren't focused on fighting he brought Amatha along with him, carrying her close to make sure that she didn't get lost.

Reaching the borders he let out a deep howl, calling to see if anyone would come to visit them. His tail swayed brightly at the thought, looking forwards to seeing the pack members again. Looking down to Amatha he smiled. Stay close. He didn't want her to get in trouble for trespassing on their borders. As eager as he was to visit those that he was beginning to make friends with he still felt slight fear about being too relaxed.

(307) He has two horses (a white mare and a palomino filly) with him. :3

The moose hunt had been what spurred his idea, and after talk of it with his cousin, Uliohi, and Io, Anatole had taken up the job of procuring as much meat as he possibly could. Though not ranked as a hunter, he had been trained extensively by his mother (who had been). He had learned to hunt in the old ways—he waited for an opportune moment and, if it did not come, moved on. There would always be food to find.

He had taken to the spear well, and while not yet an expert, spent many hours practicing. It had paid off in a big way; a young buck, wounded by the storm, had fallen prey to his weapon. Now resting on Bianca’s back, the carcass was joined by smaller ones. A rabbit, two fat birds, and one unlucky groundhog had topped off his two-day long hunting trip. It had been an experience for Ayita, who had blanched at the smell of blood but soon grew used to it. The Wolf Scout was pleased by her progress. Maybe having horses wasn’t as strange as he had first thought.

A familiar voice sounded from nearby and Anatole, recognizing it, hurried towards the source. He was proceeded by a great bird and smiled broadly at her presence. Moments later the wolf and his two horses (one a filly running loose and following her mother) found not one but two faces to greet. “Hadley!” He called, excited to see that the man who had once looked so wounded was now standing tall and proud. “I thought that was you,” Anatole went on, and giving the horses slack so they would not come too close to the pup, advanced towards the brown man. “Is this little thing yours?” He further asked, a broad smile breaking over his normally stoic face.

Daddy's Girl

Word Count → 310 :: Out of Character text

Hadley held the small pup close, not wanting her to run off and trespass into Aniwaya territory. Her father seemed excited about being in this place but Amatha wasn’t entirely sure why. He howled, asking someone to come meet them. Amatha was a little confused, unsure why they didn’t just go in and see whoever or whatever Hadley had come here to see.

It didn’t take long for another to show up, bringing a pair of horses with him. The smaller one caught the pups attention, more so than the mare or the newcomer. She squirmed in Hadley’s arms, wanting to get a closer look at the filly but stopped when the man came closer to the pair. He had a big smile on his face as he spoke to her father. Amatha smiled back up at the man before looking back at Hadley. Da, who this? He seemed to know the man before him but even if he didn’t, the man seemed nice enough. Maybe he would even play with her.

OOC i will change the OOC text up here eventually...

The golden bird flew towards him. Hadley still wasn't completely comfortable with the spirits, but he had learned that the best way to deal with them was to treat them with utmost respect, and could get along with them mostly. He was surprised to see Anatole arrive with horses following him. It was a more common sight to see in Casa. His tail wagged, still pleased to see one of his friends from the pack, even if Anatole had frightened him when they'd first met.

Amatha began to squirm wildly, not satisfied with staying still. He didn't want her to trespass though, so kept his grip tight. Anatole. It's good to see you again. He reached over, moving to grip Anatole's shoulder before leaning back, placing Amatha on the ground. Amatha, this is Anatole. He's a friend. At least, he thought of the large wolf as one. Yes, she is my daughter. She doesn't seem like she's going to stop growing either.
