waves crashing ashore

He hadn’t quite made it to the shore just yet, but Apollo was plenty satisfied with the area he had come across. He had gone past the coyote scented borders to find the region known as Drifter Bay. The plains were sprawling with bunches of wildflower and cliffs loomed just in the distance. Though he couldn’t quite see the water (which possibly could have been attributed to his height) he could hear the low drum of the waves on the shore.

He had been wrong when speaking to DaVinci. The boy hadn’t come back the next day after meeting the outlaw. Instead, it had been a few days later – the earliest the youngster was able to escape in order to do some exploring. He wasn’t sure if he would find the steel hybrid here, but either way he planned on staking out a good spot for their headquarters. So far, he loved it here. It was secluded and perfect.

DaVinci had been roaming the outskirts of the wastelands for the past few days. He'd figured since the kid had never returned then atleast he'd occupy himself in learning the lands without a tagalong. The boy hasn't been annoying, not as bad as he'd been so long ago, but it didn't surprise him too much when Apollo didn't return. The youth often forget their promises and needs for adventure when they found another to fil their time.

DaVinci had finally moved on farther into the lands away from the clan's border, which was just as strange and barbaric as it had once been. He'd strolled across the sea of wildflowers and cliffs to find himself along the beachface, the lull of the bay in his ears and the waves lapping at his feet as he moved along. Lowering his nose to the sands he inspected the lair of a sandcrab before abandoning the idea of dinner.

Lifting his head from the sands he caught the scent of the child drifting back from the lands. He shook the sand from his pelt and leapt up onto the bank and quietly made his way towards the source of the scent. It didn't take him too long to find Apollo lurking about and with a devilish grin he commenting from his hiding place. "What happened to tomorrow?"

He thought he could smell a familiar scent on the wind, and when he turned, there was his fellow partner in crime. He frowned at DaVinci’s words, feeling almost as if it were a scolding. It quickly turned into a smirk when he replied, "Outlaws never keep their promises, yah know." An easy way out. Really he had felt a bit bad when he hadn’t been able to meet up with DaVinci, but they were here now, weren’t they?

"So… d’you find a good place yet?" He asked, curious if perhaps DaVinci had been here longer than the youth had. It seemed like a nice area, and he was sure they would find the perfect spot to place their headquarters. Once they did that, they would be good to go. Operation: Outlaws would be in full swing.

ooc: They should set the hangout as a big boat or something that washed ashore.. XD

The stormy male couldn't help but grin when the youth offered him the smart ass remark as he shook his head and caught up to where the creamy hued wolf stood. Stretching his long limbs he let out a jaw cracking yawn before replying. "Who needs promises and guarantees.. Outlaws are scoundlers.. every mothers worst nightmare you know.." DaVinci sure knew, he'd been every mother's worst nightmare since the day he was born, including his own mothers.

He shook his head as Apollo asked what he'd found, DaVinci hadn't really been looking for anything but scouting out the lands. There were a few scattered places that could do for the young one's needs but DaVinci wasn't going to choose for him. "Nothing much.. mostly just docks and old half sunk boats.." He hadn't expected the boats to stil be floating, or atleast atempting to float.. but he'd been impressed when he'd seen them leaning on the dock half sunk but still explorable.

"Hmm," Apollo mumbled, a little disappointed that DaVinci had yet to find anything either. But that wasn’t to say there wasn’t a good spot around somewhere. They just had to a look a little harder. And just where that would be? Well, Apollo decided for now it would be the shore line. "Let’s go," he said firmly.

The youth set off towards the water, bounding closer and barely noticing as the sound of waves crashing increased. When he made his way down to the rocky beach line, he cast his mismatched gaze half a mile to either side of him. To the right there was some sort of shadowy figure lying on the beach. To the left, nothing but more shore. "We need to check that out!" Apollo called to Davinci, heading off towards that large silhouette. It would be his first time seeing any sort of boat.

DaVinci ignored the boy's mutters, the youth seemed to forget that DaVinci wasn't even from these lands and he was more concerned about keeping his ass from getting lost that actually finding something new and exciting. He flicked his eyes back to the boy with the strange hued eyes as he gave a command. Smirking to himself DaVinci turned about and began to follow the kid down towards the shore.

Suddenly the kid picked up his pace and DaVinci had to bound after him to keep up. The voice that called out to him was whipped by the winds but DaVinci got the idea and kept his pace up after the boy. "Aye Captain!" He mockingly called as his long limbs brought sand up from the shore as he raced after the ivory halfling.

The closer they drew to the looming shape the more he began to realize what it was upahead. He grinned as he called up to his friend. "It's an old boat..." he wasn't sure how old or if the boat was even useable for anything other than firewood. He kept his mouth shut on that thought as they plotted along.

Lalala, so the two explore and totally establish the boat as some sort of HQ thing because they're cool. Apollo ends up haunt this area for awhile, before heading off somewhere unknown.
