She could still hear the howling wind rattling upon the windowpanes, and the scratching of the shadowy claws of naked tree branches against the walls. The storm had terrified her, but what concerned her more was the safety of her family. When Giselle (children in tow) had been corralled to a safe shelter with other members of the Court, she watched painstakingly as her own prince whisked away to find others, to be sure everyone was safe. While the snow white female wished the very same for others - especially after hearing how bad the damage had become - she would always silently utter 'I love you' to the back of the mottled prince. At the very least, she had her children safe and sound, whom she grasped to her breast tightly whenever the storm raged above them. Eugene constantly tried to venture outside of the shelter, wishing the fight the storm off with his puppy growls. Despite his display of bravery, though, there were times when he dived headfirst into his mother's welcoming arms whenever the storm howled back. Pascal, on the other hand, never left his mother's side, his wet nose constantly buried in her fur.

It was hard to say when the torrential rains and blistering winds had stopped, though. Waiting out the storm had thrown off Giselle's concept of time. It was no surprise, then, that it took the petite female hours before even removing herself and her children from the shelter, and days more before she even stepped outside of the Hotel. When she had seen (and heard) of the Court's damage, her heart sunk. Everything was waterlogged: The dirt, the trees, and - especially - the lake. Trenches had formed in the now-softened ground formed tiny, makeshift rivers, flowing every which direction. The stables had collapsed on one side, which made her worry for Heritage, and the Hotel floor above which her family resided had taken damage as well. The miracles of Mother Nature, however, were never-ending. In the weeks that followed, She had begun to repair her world, helped along by the gentle hands of various Court members. The auburn haired female wanted to put her hands to work on repairs too, but her little princes were a handful on their own, boisterous and antsy from being cooped up inside. Eventually, she had let them wander about, with strict instructions to stick close by to where she could see them.

Giselle had awoken this morning to hear her bluebird sing from her window, whom she came to call Tweedle. He sought safety from the storm someplace and appeared unharmed, though Giselle had wished she had found him and brought him inside when the storm had started. Nevertheless, the woman awoke with a song in her ears and, shortly after, on her lips, awakening her dual-eyed son. Silvano and Eugene seemed to have taken off earlier, perhaps because Silvano knew how much their adventurous son yearned to be outside after spending an eternity indoors. Pascal, though, stayed with his mother, a thought that constantly lit up his mother's face. Giselle placed a gentle kiss between Pascal's ears, who yawned slowly and smiled sleepily. "Wake up, my little prince~! We're going to do some gathering today." The little pup's eyes lit up and his smile grew even wider, a simple task to her seemingly a potential adventure for him.

With a basket dangling from one arm, Pascal in the other (despite the fact that he was growing heavier), and her stoat curled on her shoulders, Giselle walked down the stairs of the Hotel only to find the entrance open to let in the fresh air. The scent of rain still lingered, but at least the sun was shining to welcome back the oranges, reds, and browns of fall. Gently, she set her son down on the ground as they approached the big, wooden doors. "Stick close to me, Pascal," she instructed, though it went without saying when it came to her youngest boy. With those words, the auburn haired woman crossed the threshold and into the sun, her yellow dress swirling about her ankles. As the sun kissed her from head to toe, she stopped at the foot of the steps momentarily to soak it in, closing her eyes and tilting her muzzle towards the sky. Powder blues opened only to see and hear Tweedle, who awaited her on a nearby tree branch, singing into the late morning. As 'Elle lifted an empty palm to the sky, the young bluebird flew happily towards her and perched upon her ivory finger. "Oh, good morning to you, sweet little bird~" Her singsong voice rang out, giggling as the bluebird chirped and ruffled its feathers in response.

Eugene had gone with Papa early this morning and Pascal had revelled in the chance to spend some quality alone time with Mama. While the boy had no concept of competition and loved his brother as equally as he loved his Mama, he understood that he liked to spend some alone time with her all the same. Of course, the first he knew of his apparent alone-ness with Mama had been when her sing-song voice had roused him from his dreams, her silken smooth hand brushing against his head and placing a small kiss between his ears. Before he'd been fully conscious, he'd given a soft squeak of delight- it was his favourite way to be awoken. Stretching his pudgy legs out in front of him, the prince gave a wide yawn, ending in a high pitched whine and accompanied by the shake of his head, as if to get rid of the spiders in his ears.

It had registered then, the words that had awoken him and the excitement (as he'd been told it was) racing through his body. His little heart picked up its pace and he hadn't thought to contain his yaps of excitement as he bounced off the bed. He hit the floor with a thud, head lolling back for a moment at the awkward angle before he was inspired to race after his mother as she got ready. He'd been in trouble when he'd gone out the other day on his own, even if it was just outside the Hotel. He'd been coated in mud and Mama had screeched when he'd managed to crawl back up to their home. He was scampering haphazardly towards the door, moving as fast as his little legs could carry him when Mama's silken hand scooped him up. Delighted, he snuggled closer to her, wet nose pressed into his side before he decided that the journey was too good to miss and he turned to look at everything he could.

It didn't take them long to get down to the ground floor and Pascal was already wriggling with excitement of going exploring with Mama. The prospect of exploration in general excited the boy, but he had to admit that it would be better with Mama there. Her instructions were taken with a yap of agreement, roughly translated as; "Yeth Mama!!" Before his paws hit the mud and he slid once again. His mothers soft voice caused him to turn back, mismatched eyes lighting up at the bluebird and his mothers greeting. "Heyo birdiebird, comes asplorin' wif us?" He questioned, before grinning in his mothers direction- at the same time, his right paw hit a slick patch and he dropped with a squeak.
