Who said they would come back different than all
With every step they took Dahlia de Mai was drawing nearer, and Cercelee wasn’t quite sure what she was feeling. Excitement and longing to return home, of course, but also a strange dread. Not that they had de-ranked her, she knew they hadn’t. Not that there would be strangers in her pack, there was sure to be wolves she hadn’t met that had passed through. Something else was eating at the Rosea, and Cercelee wasn’t quite sure what it was. Perhaps it was the anxiety of returning to a place after such a long absence. A place that she should have been all along. Perhaps it was having to explain the absence if anyone should ask. She had no problems admitting the truth to all of Twilight Vale, but Dahlia de Mai was a different story.

Pausing Cercelee turned to the sable female. "This is it, this is home."They had walked due north from Twilight Vale and come up through the unclaimed area of Overgrowth Sunrise. They had already passed through a few of the orchards and vineyards that were not claimed by Dahlia wolves and they had walked along the border of the town of Berwick for a while. Now they had passed through Flander’s Field and come to where the thick, marking scents of wolves were laid on the ground. Her scent was there, but very, very faded. Throwing back her head, Cercelee let out a long howl, the sound reaching far and falling on the short houses of Berwick and the larger buildings of Wolfville. Shrugging Cercelee began to move forward again. She wasn’t sure who or what to expect, but there couldn’t be too much of a commotion with Savina in tow.

Things at home had been fairly tense for the girl the past couple weeks. Luckily things seemed to be making a turn for the better. She was glad of that for many reasons, one being that she felt it would be safe to be able to escort Cercelee back to Dhalia de Mai. She had made a promise the alabaster wolfess, and Savina was not the type to break a promise. However, if her friend had decided to make the journey back a week or so earlier she might have had to. With what had happened to Naniko, she had been relentlessly patrolling the borders. She had told herself that it was to keep out unwanted intruders, which was true, but her main concern had been Conri returning. And sure enough he had. Her rage had taken over and she had made the male pay for his crimes. With the beating she had given him it was not likely he would return again soon. After that incident she had had some personal issues to work through though. The power and relentlessness of her anger frightened her and she was afraid that she might hurt those she cared about. But after her talk with Anslem those fears had been, more or less, put to bed.

It had been a good trek back north to the other's home. She had only come this far once before, when she had met up with Jazper and Khaden in the house during the rain. It was such a relief to see how much Cer had improved over her stay in the Vale. Her friend looked so much better now than when they had first met. The ebony femme smiled back at her friend as her gaze took in the land in front of them. It was very different from Twilight Vale, but it had it's own unique beauty. "It looks great Cercelee! I can't wait to see all of it." Dark form paused as her companion let out a melodious howl, calling for her packmates. Savina was very interested to meet the wolves that lived here. Hopefully they would all be as nice as Cercelee was. Limbs moved again as the ivory femme walked further into her territory, nose and eyes taking in all the sights and smells.

Hey kricket! Your table says CerCECELEE.

She had spent the last two days at her best friend's place, a one-story house in Flanders Fields. Why Kol had chosen to live so close to a cemetary was something that still puzzled her, but Lexey had to admit that the peace and quiet was pretty enjoyable. It was close to the borders, so the Circee often kept an eye out for intruders: Inferni, to be precise. They had raped Firefly and harmed most of her pack mates. A coyote trespassing into Dahlia de Mai under her watch would mean his or her death, as simple as that.

The howl that echoed through the packlands startled her, mostly because she hadn't detected anyone's presence nearby until now. It wasn't a stranger's call though, Lexey knew that much. Pressing her nose to the ground and sniffing out the area, she quickly caught the scent of two females. One hailed from a pack to the south, while the other one's smell was a mixture of that same pack and Dahlia de Mai. As she got closer and finally laid eyes on the black and white duo, the tawny she-wolf purposedly let out a high-pitched bark to catch their attention.

Lexey stopped moving once a few feet away from them, not wanting to get too close out of politeness. Honey-colored eyes then observed the ebony lady before moving on to the snowy one. It took her a few moments to realize who she was, but eventually it all became clear: blue-eyed woman dotted with an untainted alabaster pelt, just like Haku had described her. It was her, no doubt about it. "Cercelee, right? We've been waiting for you."

DaVinci had been sleeping once again, this time he'd actually been able to get some rest, though the call across the lands had woken him. He had no clue who it was who'd issued the call but the hybrid boy who'd been staying in the lands on the lookout for his kid sister decided to investigate. The voice hadn't been too far from where he'd been resting and soon enough the voice of one he knew came into play.

The second call from Alexey was what had quickened his pace and drawn him to where the gathering of women were. Pausing on the outskirts he caught the name of one of the figures. It didn't take him too long to recognize just who it was, a relative blast from the past as he smirked slightly. Moving forward to stand near Alexey the dark hued male raised a brow at Cercelee and spoke softly, his deep voice nothing like the squeaky angry squeal that had belonged to a puppy so long ago. "It's been a while.." he said.

He knew he wasn't truly one of the packmembers but the lass felt close enough to investigate, besides, it had been Alexey's voice that had peaked his interest in actually making himself known. If Cercelee wanted to hold a puppy grudge against him he could deal with it, though he doubted that she would, if anything she'd probably be wondering what the hell he was doing in her lands.

Cercelee had expected Haku, or Mew, or Slay or even Hanna. The two faces that confronted her now were unfamiliar. The scent of their pelt indicated that they both belonged to Dahlia de Mai, or if they did not they certainly spent a fair amount of time here. How many members had they gained in the time she was gone? How many members had they lost? Cercelee was embarrassed inwardly, but she showed no sign of it outwardly. That would make matters worse, to show that not only had she abandoned her pack physically for weeks on end, she felt ashamed of it. Of course part of her was ashamed, but it was a private part of her. The Cercelee that everyone knew, especially her pack mates, was not at all ashamed of her decision.

Pausing With a slight smile she turned to Savina, sighing helplessly. "I’ve been gone far too long." Turning back to the two wolves, she nodded. "I am indeed Cercelee, and this is my friend, Savina."Her navy eyes flitted over the two of them. The male’s words had puzzled her, but she had taken them as a slight at her. It’s been a while since she had been in the pack surely, but he had spoken it as if they knew each other. Cercelee dug through her buried memories and couldn’t recover the one that held the key to this male. Smiling at the two again, her voice firm but calm, soothing and melodic. "Could I get your names? You two are members here now?"

Mew had heard her alphess' howl, and she had dropped the carcass of a large hare that she was devouring at the time to leap in the sound's direction. Unfortunately, she was at the harbor, and the sound made it clear that Cercelee was not close to her. Mew had wondered where the rosea had gone, but seeing as her communication with Haku faltered more than often, and most of the other high ranked members had disappeared she had asked no one. She had heard rumours of her position and the reason for it, but she had decided not to meddle. Cer was not an unreasonable soul, and although the leader had less active in decisionmaking regarding the war and its consequences than Mew would have wished she'd been, the white Ilex held no grudges. It would be good to see her again, and it was nice to know that she had returned. Haku had dissolved in thin air lately; she'd not been able to get hold of him, nor find anyone who had. Perhaps Firefly knew, but Mew did not like her, and would not seek her out.

White legs beat at the ground as she ran, in her four-legged form today. After meeting Lubomir again, she somehow had this strange warm feeling towards being in this form. It was strange, and she felt silly thinking about it, so she tried not to. The smell of her long lost Rosea grew stronger all the while she was running, and at last she saw her, surrounded by newer members that she had barely spoken to or even seen or met, and a stranger from another pack. Without hesitation, Mew walked steadily up to the leader and put her face and neck around her neck, carefully so it would not hurt her (it was obvious that she had been hurt there), speaking words for only her to hear. Good to have you back, Cer. I've missed you. She was not embarrased to show her joy at Cer's return. Haku was not a fit leader, and she was glad that the true rosea had returned at mostly the same time that Haku had disappeared. Hopefully his meddling was over for a while. Her rank was high, higher than it had been when Cer disappeared, and so she stood proudly beside the alphess, not caring whether people would see it as rude. She was sure the leader would understand it as what it was. Support, and greeting.

Kol had to admit, it had been nice having her friend around these past couple of days. The Stormbringer's injuries were still somewhat fresh and painful, her left eye still swollen shut from the two vertical slashes that crossed it, the larger cut extending directly down the center. The young girl had never been one to let loneliness take her, but the company of her best friend admittedly soothed her, and she'd been debating asking Lexey if she'd like to stay. The house was certainly large enough for two young females, and even though the war was over, there was still something to be said for safety in numbers. It was a topic she'd have to bring up to the grey girl at some point.

Today, however, was not the day for it. Kol had awakened to find Alexey already out for the day, and the black shewolf had though briefly about simply curling back up on the mattress in the back bedroom she'd claimed as her own. Unfortunately, Kol was smart enough to realize that sleeping any longer would only make her stiff body that much stiffer, so with one longing glance back at her bedroom, the injured shewolf limped out her front door.

Kol hadn't made it very far before a sound stopped her suddenly. A piercing, half familiar howl broke through the quiet of the day, and the girl immediately turned her slower-than-usual paws toward it. After awhile, she came to the sight of Mew and Lexey and a male she didn't know gathering to greet two other females. The black one was a stranger to Kol, but the white one, though looking much better than she had when the two had met, was most definitely her alpha. Smiling, the Stormbringer limped over to stand beside Lexey, bowing down in a polite and respectful greeting to Cercelee. "Welcome home."

Short and kind of crappy, but not a lot for me to say Tongue

It wasn't too much time before some came to their leader's call. First was a tan colored female, and then a silver hued mixed male. Surprisingly though, it appeared that Cercelee hadn't met either of them before. A small, sympathetic smile cracked on her muzzle as her friend looked back at her. Savina supposed that Cer had been gone from here for quite a good amount of time. It made sense that newcomers had probably joined the pack in her absence. As the alabaster woman introduced her, slender ebon head dipped in greeting. She wondered when some of leader's friends would arrive to welcome her back. The Italian girl knew that if it had been Naniko that had been gone, she would've waited by the borders anxiously as much as she could to welcome her home. But that was just her.

Her question was quickly answered when another snow hued female came running up, embracing the navy eyed wolfess. It warmed the Twilight Vale wolf's heart to see such a reunion. It reminded her of practically every time she and her own leader met. Then another joined them, one with her similar coloring. The femme kept quiet though, not wanting to interrupt the pack's meeting. There would be time for her to speak later.

Alexey flinched unwillingly as the hybrid took a seat near her. She hadn't expected to see him, not today at least. Ever since their last encounter, Lexey felt as if it was pointless to try and get closer to him. DaVinci had hurt her, whether he realized it or not. Now wasn't the time to dwell on such things though. She threw a faint smile his way and wagged her beige-tipped tail, showing that she was happy to see him nonetheless.

As the alphess confirmed that she was indeed Cercelee, her smile widened. It felt good to finally meet the woman in charge of Dahlia de Mai. The alabaster femme also introduced her ebony friend, someone they now formally knew as Savina. "Hello Savina," she said amiably, as if trying to make sure the woman would not feel out of place. "I'm Alexey. And yes, I'm fairly new to the pack. Been here about a month or so." She then glanced at DaVinci, half-expecting him to follow her lead and introduce himself.

Mew eventually appeared out of the blue to embrace the alphess, followed by her best friend. Her face lit up as Kol limped over and stood beside her. Lexey promptly licked the side of her face as if to say hello, not wanting to ruin the reunion by verbally greeting the Stormbringer femme.

DaVinci turned to look at Alexey a moment, not wanting to explain how exactly he had known the ivory woman before him, yet the memory itself was petty and small. He gave her a slight smile before turning his eyes back to the ying and yang two before them. Nodding to Savina as she was introduced he moved to the side to give everyone a bit of room as he answered. "DaVinci Nasphrite.." and with a simple scowl he admitted. "Close enough.. but I'm not a member.." He nodded to the woman from the other pack as she spoke. Other's had joined them but only the coal hued woman did he know, and only from a chance encounter.

The silvery grey male really ddin't know what to say, here he was mostly a stranger in these lands and yet walking them like he belonged. The boy was doubtful that he belonged anywhere but like normal he had to keep an eye out for his sister, and if she choose to run wild in the woods of her packlands than he'd run after her until he could finish what another had started and heal the wounds she refused to lay down a clean.

Alexey and DaVinci. Cercelee paused for a moment, her brain working to dig up memories long ago buried at the second name, but she pushed it aside for a moment. Turning to Alexey, Cer nodded her head, smiling at the female."Well Alexey, this is a little late, but welcome to Dahlia de Mai, it’s very nice to have you here." And it was, the female seemed pleasant enough (then again, so could Haku when he had his mind set on it) and Cercelee couldn’t complain about more members, growing in size could only help them. Turning to the male, Cercelee bore her navy eyes into that of the male’s. "Nasphrite?" That was her grandfather’s name, so clearly they were related, but Cercelee wasn’t quite sure she would recognize it. Although, she did, now, recognize him. "Yes, I suppose it’s been a long time for us."

Quickly her attention was diverted from the two newcomers by a rush of white before her, and a sudden warm embrace. The scent that filled her nose now was one that she had smelled in months, but it was one of the first she had come to associate with home and friendship. Returning the embrace sincerely, Cercelee stepped back to survey her friend with critical eyes, how had she faired in the way while Cer was in Twilight Vale nursing her own wounds? "Mew! It is great to be home, I’ve missed you as well."And then there was another, so suddenly. "Kol, I’m glad to see you are still with us."A warm smile was given to the woman, although Cercelee felt a pang of guilt at the limp Kol walked with. Was that also from the war? Cercelee said nothing, hoping that her wounds, almost invisible now anyway, would go unspoken about. Better that they focus on this homecoming, and Cercelee’s guest.

Turning back to Savina, brimming now with glee that so many had heard her call and come, she smiled at the group. "Well then, I’ve promised Savina here that if she escorted me home I should show her the pack lands, no one can deny that with all our buildings we have quite a collection of interesting places. What should I show her then?" Cercelee looked about at the her three pack mates, and DaVinci and Savina, the guests. The words had come unplanned from her mouth, but she was pleased she had come up with the idea. What in the pack were her members more fond of? Where did they take their guests? Cercelee wanted to see her own home from their point of view.

Late, as usual, Hanna came upon the gathering of wolves, of which most were in their four-legged form. Sighing and dropping her packs neatly to one side, she shifted as quickly as she could, wincing as her bones popped to reform not so much at a pain, but at the sound, which sickened her to her core. Dropping onto four legs, she finished the transformation, then approached her leader. "Cer..."

Her eyes dropped, flitted up, dropped again. She'd not been around much in the past several weeks; she'd avoided the packlands in favor of exploration. She'd met new people, done new things.. been pinched by a crab. Then again, she'd not been the only one. She'd kept easily within earshot most of the time, only ranging out after the war had ended and the injured taken care of. She was back for a little while, but ultimately was considering leaving Dahlia de Mai. She was feeling more and more trapped around everyone and in pack life, but she didn't want to be on her own again, either. The ebony femme wasn't quite sure what she was going to do, but it was going to be soon.

More arrived at the happening as time passed, and Mew stood there next to her alpha and watched old and new members greet Cer back. A stranger approached them, and called himself DaVinci. Truly, Mew hoped Cer would know better than to accept him in should he wish for it. The outcome of the war had not been how Mew had wished it to be, and she had found no satisfaction for the revenge that she felt inside. This one was a cross-breed, a coalition of the two races, and Mew felt disgust rise to her throat. However, it might be a case of rape, which would quench that disgust somewhat, even though it made her think of her brother and the things he had done. No, if it was up to her, this one would never be among their ranks. Not even as a lowest rank member. The ivory femme was tempted to comment on his words - and you never will be, but she kept her thoughts to herself. She knew very well how her opinions angered others, and some of them were present.

With a certain amount of surprise she spotted her aunt entering the scene, in her four-legged form for once. Secretly, Mew had considered Hanna gone a long time ago, having not seen her in a long time. She hardly ever was around, and - sort of like her mother - didn't always seem keen on contact. Colibri had promised that they would meet, but nothing of the sort had happened since the ex-rosea left the pack. Perhaps the two were more alike than one would think. Nevertheless, Mew was glad to see her, though she did not rush over to greet her. This was about Cer's return, after all, and not her aunt's. Thus, she said nothing, neither to that nor the question Cer had presented. The newer members could take care of the brainstorming; it was they who needed to get to know their rosea, not Mew.

Sorry, I wasn't aware we were waiting on me x.x

Savina smiled happily at the tawny female known as Alexey. She seemed very pleasant. One more femme joined the gathering, but not with the same exuberance that the others had. Something seemed to be distant and distracted about her. It was curious behavior to greet a returning leader with, but she supposed it was none of her business. Her attention turned back to Cercelee as she began to address all of them. The dark girl's tail wagged gently as the ivory wolfess looked back at her, joy obvious in her navy orbs. It was good to see her friend so happy. She couldn't even imagine how great it must be for her to be home.

She looked at the various faces assembled to see who would put forth an idea. So far no one had answered the Rosea's query. Somewhat self-consciously she shifted her weight from paw to paw, the silence unnerving her a bit. "I'm sure anywhere you all want to show me will be great. It's always interesting to see new lands. Especially from those who know them best." Her smile took a turn towards sheepish, feeling a bit silly for stating the obvious.

[html]He stood sheepishly at the edge of the clearing, pale blue eyes anxiously drinking in her sight. It was Cercelee... she was back... she was safe. The arctic wolf heaved a sigh of relief, feeling an immense weight slither free from his burdened shoulders. Now everything would be right again, wouldn't it? There was still nervous fear gnawing in his belly - how would she, or the other pack members, react if he approached them? Slay had all but vanished, unable to stay strong during the crisis. The one wolf he'd really opened up to had left him behind, and he didn't have the guts to stay by her side or hold up the home front awaiting her return. He certainly couldn't go into battle under Haku, who always gave him mixed signals of trust and madness. And he didn't have the self-confidence to try and forge new bonds with the Dahlia members, who were now almost completely strangers to him.

So he had skulked about in the fields and forests, avoiding all news and contact, barely even keeping himself fed as he wandered in cowardice. It was like when he first left his homeland, only now there were those who knew of his absence. He had been demoted again and again, until now he was nearing omega status; it mattered not. He didn't have the spirit to hold authority, at least not during the conflict with Inferni. Now... Well, now there was change in the air. Slay felt the black tip of his tail begin to stir, and he allowed a small, embarrassed smile onto his muzzle as he edged nearer to the gathering. He knew his handsome coat was a mess - mud, brambles, matted fur, and his half-starved ribs poking out would hardly leave a good first impression to the wolves he hadn't met - but they weren't the ones he was excited about seeing. At least this time it would be what was on his fur, rather than the colour of his fur itself, that would make him stand out...

"C-Cer... w-welcome back," he murmured, bowing his head in deference to her rank. Might as well be polite in case she was angry with him - and so she wouldn't lose face in front of the others, if he was overly-familiar with her. Once again he was over-thinking their relationship, but he couldn't help it; it had been too long...

DaVinci had spent quite a bit of time in the company of the tawny girl and it really didn't surprise him when she'd turned to him after introducing herself and expecting him to follow. He'd planned to follow through and the look that Cercelee gave him was enough once she realized just who he was. A smirk was the only response she was rewarded when she addressed that she had finally pieced together everything. He grinned as he turned his gaze back to the collection that was gathering around their leader. He didn't know any of the new souls but that really didn't bother him, no one really needed to know him. He'd just come along for the ride alongside Alexey.

The shadows were moving across the grounds as they came out of the woodwork to greet the woman they addressed as their leader. He smiled as the happiness came around full circle. No one had really came up with a solution on where to show the Rosea's friend until Alexey finally spoke up. She'd had the bright idea of showing the lady the harbor. He knew what she'd brought up had been a great idea and he nodded agreement.

Turning his stormy eyes towards the tawny woman beside him he let the smile linger on his lips a moment to long before he quickly turned back towards the group and agreed with Alexey. "Yes, the harbor.. and then what about the vineyards.." He knew he shouldn't be announcing just how much time he'd spent in the packlands, but since Alexey and him had found Firefly within the clan's lands he'd spent more and more time slinking around the borders trying to keep an eye out on his sibling. Someone had to watch the girl.

She's looking for birds she met last fall
Okay, so this thread is slow going, what with most all of us on the absence list or missing >.< So we are going to TRY and push through. Alexey told us to power play her suggesting the harbor (in case anyone wondered where that came from) and hopefully the next time it gets to her she will be healthy and well again! We don’t have to stick to a strict posting order, but try and keep it somewhat logical. And when you post don’t hesitate to have them arrive at the harbor and start looking around, we don’t all have to make a post of them traveling, because that will just take forever. So whoever posts next should say they got to the harbor and then yeah. I don’t know. TOO MANY PEOPLE CONFUSE ME. But thanks for such a warm welcome XD

Who said they would come back different than all
Before anyone could speak up with a suggestion of what to show Savina more members appeared. First Hanna, the woman seemingly unable to keep eye contact with her leader. Cercelee smiled politely, "Hanna.", while her eyes questioned the older lady. It seemed the other had more to speak, but it would have to wait until they could speak alone. Cercelee could not pay too much attention to any one individual just yet, and though this excursion was one for pleasure it had some of the same characteristics of a pack meeting: a truth that Cercelee resented when the next member appeared. Slay, looking more haggard than Cercelee had ever seen him before, came up to her submissively, the warm playful greetings she was accustomed to absent and her heart sank at the sight of her close friend. He too would have to wait until they had some time to speak privately. Right now the best she could do was softly answer him and give him a gentle but warm nudge with her snout. "Thank you Slay. Don’t try to look so glum friend."

Alexey, after taking note of the newcomers, piped up with her suggestion, which was quickly followed by consent of DaVinci. Cercelee looked curiously at the male who was not a member but wore their scent and shrugged. "Yes the harbor and the vineyards, Savina should see both, so let’s waste no time." Cercelee nodded to the others and then set off at a steady pace, letting some of them lead ahead and others trail behind but keeping her proper place next to their guest, Savina.

As they traveled and finally arrived at the harbor, Mew had kept her eyes on Slay. He looked as if he had gone through a war of his own, starved and dirty, and the normally happy'ish expression on his face had been replaced with something that Mew considered unnatural for him to carry. He was acting submissive towards Cer, as if she made him feel small, although he had no reason to. Mew knew very well that the two of them were, or had been, close. She never pried into other persons' relationships unless they seemed to want to share them, and thus she didn't know the exact details. Seeing Slay like this, however, made a certain dark sphere settle in Mew's thoughts; Whatever it was that brought him down like that, it wasn't right. When they walked Mew fell back to give room for Savina to trot alongside the Rosea, and Ilex used the opportunity to trot alongside Slay, nudging him in a friendly manner as she came up next to him. She didn't say anything, but she was there, and when they arrived at the harbor, she stopped to stand next to him as well. They had only really met once, and it had been briefly, but Mew knew that she liked Slay, and thus she attempted to show her support for him against whatever his demon might be.

As they came to a halt, Mew decided against speaking up about the harbor. It was her favourite place; the old wooden structure that humans had once tied boats to, now old and slippery with age and salty water weariness was one of the few places Mew felt a certain positive connection to. All other places she had strong bonds to had some negative association to it. Wherever Mew was, if there was ocean, Mew was content or better. And that was her secret. It would stay her secret. So she stopped and looked out to sea, waiting for someone else to introduce the area to Cer's friend Savina.

[html]Slay felt a lopsided grin ease onto his muzzle, and he let his nervous posture relax - a little, at least. Cercelee's reassurance did make him feel better, as well as a bit self-conscious... He really was a mess, wasn't he! Well, after they visited the harbor as a group, he could hang around and clean himself up. Worry crept back into his expression as the arctic wolf fell in behind the other luperci. It was hard to trust others, he had found, and now it would be a tricky transition back into being a pack member... If he avoided stress, he could avoid or at least postpone his narcoleptic naps. But he had to plunge back into friendships and bonds, he couldn't stand the loneliness any longer. Perhaps he would lose a few packmates' trust when he inevitably fell asleep before them, but most of the Dahlia wolves had been very understanding. Seeing Hanna reminded him of the day they had first formed the pack, just barely five of them.

As Slay padded along, he realized Mew had chosen a position by his side. He returned her nudge with a grateful smile, surprised but pleased with her act of friendship. He remembered the rainy day they had shared some time ago, shortly before he had become scarce. No words needed to be exchanged this time, but again, it lent the self-doubting male another ounce of his old confidence back. He could do this... couldn't he? To be there for those who needed him... Did anyone need him? Well, he would find out.

The dull rumbling of the waves drew his attentions, and Slay's ice-blue eyes fixated on the deep aquamarine sea, the tangy salt scent pervading everywhere. Don't look so glum, eh? Well, I'll do what I can... The piebald male trotted to the end of one of the docks, reveling in the strange slimy sensation of the water-damaged wood under his pawpads. Settling down on his underfed belly, Slay let his ebony forepaws dangle over the edge, splashing the surface of the ocean. He flashed a grin back at those he had not met before - Alexey, DaVinci, Kol, Savina - and splashed his paws again, inviting them all to try it. They might not be as easily amused as he was, but if this meeting was to be light-hearted, then why not make it so? He could deal with his shortcomings on his own time...

Soon yet another Dahlian member joined the gathering. She was impressed, and glad that so many had come to welcome back her friend. She could see how happy this made Cercelee and she was glad to just be part of this special moment. The most recent joiner looked rather bedraggled though, his pelt dirty and matted, his form skinny. Even beneath the grime she could see the uniqueness in his fur. Savina had never seen anyone with such markings and found them incredibly interesting. The ebon femme was trying her best not to stare, but found her eyes constantly returning to the lines of black and white. Luckily soon Alexey and DaVinci spoke up as to where they should journey to first. Cercelee readily consented and they were off. The pack members allowed the visitor to walk next to the ivory leader, so she gladly walked next to her, giving her a friendly nudge as they made their way.

It didn't take the group too long before they reached the harbor and her bushy tail wagged happily as the sight of the ocean came into view. She took a deep inhale of the sweet, salty air, smile broad across her maw. The collective group came to a halt, but the interestingly colored male named Slay walked out to the edge of one of the docks, looking back to invite others to join him. The Italian girl eagerly trotted down the aged wooden board to join in the fun. It made her flash back to walking down the dock that lead to the ship that had brought her here, though admittedly that one was more well-maintained than this. Gingerly she lowered herself down next to Slay, dangling her paws in the water as well. She shot him a friendly smile. "I love the ocean. I'm glad we decided to come here." Savina then looked back to the others behind them, her contented air obvious and tail padding happily against the slick boards.
