Watery sunlight filtered rather easily through the bare branches above him, though the air was still cool. It was a peculiar thing to the two-year-old, waking up with _sun in his eyes in the middle of November. Not that he minded; _sun was just as good as snow, and vice versa. Chips and shavings of wood fell from his perch to the forest floor, collecting in a pile among the leaves. The amber w0lf was working away at a small figurine in his hands, which was beginning to resemble a deer. Pausing for a moment in his craft, Endymion stretched against the trunk of the tree, clutching the wooden deer in one hand and the simple knife in the other. The figurine's legs were dainty, and were formed in a way to seem like the deer was prancing. Its minute ears were perked forward on its head, and its tail was erect. It was a lovely thing, but he didn't have much use for it. Making the last few cuts on the little deer, he figured he could give it as a present to Fat1n. He'd have to find her, first.

She wasn't sure if she was ready for winter. She had spent most of the late half of summer, and part of Autumn, preparing blankets of furs and other warm materials for their den. She had dragged countless blankets back from the city, even going so far as to take some of the pillows too! Her children this winter would sleep with style and comfort, she had made sure of that. She was taking a stroll around the packlands, avoiding the borders as Lucifer was bound to be watching them anyways - a thought that brought a smile to her face- when she spotted her son up against a tree. Coming to his side, her eyes fell to his hands where a beautifully carved deer was dancing, and she easily made out the details to it. She beamed at him, her hands clasped together as if to ensure she didnt touch the figurine. "It's beautiful Endy!" She exclaimed excitedly, eyes turning from the deer to him. "Where in the world did you learn to do that?" She had never worked with carvings before, and the thought excited her. At least on of her children had taken after her, artistic, creative.

The sudden entrance of Fatin delighted him, and he stood in a gentlemanly fashion before answering her question. "In Awenasa," said he, extending his hand and offering her the little deer. "From one of the non-family members. You can have it!" It was a shame, but Endymion couldn't remember a name. Oh, well. Perhaps they would meet again. Removing himself from his thoughts, he looked back to Fatin. He hadn't seen much of her the past month, and looking at her now, he realized that he had missed her. "Anyway, what have you been up to, mum?"
