Ethereal Eclipse had been his favourite up until now. So many things sold him on this place in particular. He'd come across it early in the afternoon, sat back and enjoyed the sights. Rolling hills stretched on as far as the eye could see, bathed in sunlight, verdant, and speckled with colourful wild flowers. As the day wore on and the sun began to sink behind the mountain, the hills were engulfed in cool shade. He could waste hours watching the shadows creep up along them, and he did. Birds sang their last songs for the evening and he found himself being lulled to sleep. When he awoke several hours later from his snooze, the skies had transformed. Countless pinpricks of light dotted the sky, and he smiled as he recognised a number of familiar constellations. A crescent moon hung low in the eastern sky and he knew he hadn't slept for too long. Long blades of grass stretched up past his face and the rest of his body where he'd sunk into it earlier. He had half a mind to get up and get moving, but he chose to let gravity get the better of him as he marvelled at the heavens. Beautiful. table by jesile/amanda! <3 |
