Tall, lean frame flexed strongly at a leisurely pace as the tired-looking male walked smoothly through a frozen field. All four of his paws (as he was in Lupus form) crunched against the icy ground; thought as his light eyes scanned the ground for his own feet, he found that he could not locate them. Coming with the chilling breeze blowing his direction, a thick mist rolled along the ground, marked as visible clouds of the Ice Queen's breath. Giving up on his futile search, his gaze turned directly ahead again; searching for nothing, and everything all at one time.

Suddenly he stopped, and his nose twitched in a sensitive manner. He lowered his tawny muzzle into the rolling mist, and carefully scented the ground before him. It was clearly marked, which meant a pack lay within its boundaries. He immediately became curious, and willed himself to waltz right on in; but he was also far from stupid, so stood there with a vague look of interest upon his strong facade.

Though without dwelling too much on what lay behind the scent markers, the thin male decided to simply walk the borders. He gave himself a furious shake, the studded collar that hung loosely around his neck jingled like holiday bells. He sighed, letting his heavy-set paws lead him forth in an outside patrol of the borders. Hell, maybe he'd run into someone... though somehow he doubted it. Or not so much doubted it, as he dreaded it. Sociality wasn't something regularly associated with rugged male.

Why hallo thar!

There they both came, the plump white hare followed quickly by the blonde and black coyote. It was quite obvious what was going on, nature at it's finest. The young male was gaining on the hare, heart pounding deep in his ears and paws thumping a rhythm that could have easily been mistaken as drums. The alabaster hare was to be his meal, something that he would take back to his newly built tree house and prepare, much like it would have been prepared in Europe. Gods, he missed those nice warm meals at the tables, especially the stew. It had to be his favorite by far.

In the midst of reminiscing about Europe, something terrible had happened. The hare had taken a sharp turn, which Jasper completely missed, and before he even had a chance to regain his composure, it happened. SMACK! The blonde de le Poer boy let out a loud yelp, piercing, it was, as he crumpled backward, almost peeling away from the front of the tree. Into the snow he landed, dazed and aching, staring through two toned eyes up toward the dull sky. It took a good few moments for him to pull himself together, groaning as her rolled from his back to all fours and forced himself to stand. It was wobbly at first, painful, but he soon found his footing and began forward. Surely Rusalki had been watching and was now laughing hysterically at him.

Grumbling quietly to himself, Jasper moved off after the scent of the hare, only to see it racing off into the distance, out of the pack lands. Of course, that wasn't all he spied as he continued on. Another coyote, a stranger by scent, walking the length of the borders. "H'lo!" He called out as he continued on, closing the gap between himself and the older coyote. Black tipped ears thrust forward as he drew near, one green and one blue eye coming to focus on the newcomer. "Y'need somethin'?" He slowed when was only a few feet away, bringing himself to stop at a cautious distance. Jasper might have been young but he was no fool.
