the last rays of yesterday
#1
Firefly had given up on thinking for the day. She had flopped herself down on the harbor pier and had let the sun's rays scatter across her pelt as the sun was slowly sinking into the waters. Emerald eyes flashed inthe sunlight as she watched the shimmering glow of the reflection upon the waters. The days had been easy lately, the members of her pack seemed to scatter and disappear into the woods like nothing was coming.. when winter was knocking at the door. She sighed and stretched her frame out as she felt the salt washed boards beneith her cheek, so smooth and polished.

Lowering her gaze from the reflection to the waters that rolled beneith the pier the Sadira child yawned and rolled over, her paws dropping over the edge of the dock as they dangled there, each hair sparkling from the evening glow. The day was mellow, yet there was a nip in the air as though to remind her that these days were drawing to a close and tomorrow might be cold and grey. She knew the season that was coming, the girl had been born in autumn, snow was nothing new.. though it wasn't exactly her favorite factor of the winter. She'd just grin and bare it until the skies broke free again and the warmth returned to the world in a wash of mellow sunshine and yellow buttercups.

Pendzez seemed to come far away from Poenix Valley again. That was the second time this week. However, this didn't seem to bother him at all. The Snow White Wolf seemed to like getting away to revisit old packs he visited when a loner, and also going back to places he hasn't seen in a while. Again, he walked into Dahlia de Mai, it seemed only yesterday. Well, he was yesterday the last he came here. He would have to be careful here, some wolves don't like those from other packs coming into their lands. Upon looking around, he seemed to be in an old harbor that he hasn't been to, not since a month ago. He's been through Dahlia de Mai a month ago when he was still a loner. The pack leaders were kind enough to grant him passage and a stay for a day or two. He met some wolves there, so he thought come back to see how they were, for old time's sake.

Pendzez walked along the harbor, looking out into the salty water of the ocean. The harbor seemed old and worn down after a long time. The watery scene seemed beautiful to his fire red eyes. The piers built with timber that seemed to be strong and endurable. His eyes went along the ocean until a wolf on a pier caught his eyes. A wolf lying down there, not doing much. He would have to be careful near a wolf like that because like he said before, some wolves are a aggressive with wolves from other packs, but the wolf seemed familiar. Mabye a wolf he met when visiting a month ago. He had to make sure.

He took a breath and approached the wolf on the pier. His feet as he stepped on the timber of the pier were soft, but it made squeaking noises. Pendzez didn't mind. Either way, at least he would talk to the wolf he was approached. He stopped a fair distance. "Um, hey there."

Firefly Sadira was almost lulled to sleep when the scent of another met her nose. She felt her heckles raise as another voice invaded her free time. She clattered to her feet as she bared her fangs at the other. She knew exactly who's pack he belonged to and she wasn't too pleased to be interupted at her daydreams. The young Sadira girl stepped away from the edge of the pier and moved onward towards where the young male stood. Her voice was like fire as she asked hotly. "And who gave you such permission to roam.." The boy wasn't from Dahlia de Mai and she knew that someone would have to teach the youth the rules of borders and bounderies since obviously her mother wasn't doing her job in Phoenix Valley.

The gold and bronze girl took step after step, moving closer towards the boy who was probably along the same age as her, but atleast he had reason to be within these lands unlike the valley boy before her. Narrowing her eyes she asked. "Does Phoenix Valley not teach you respect?" She hoped that the answer was no, thatway she'd atleast have reason to run him off, or that he'd respond to her rudely. Sometimes there was only one way to teach the youth these days how to behave and wisen up. She really really wanted that chance to.

Pendzez saw that he startled her and she was getting aggressive. She was getting ready to scare Pendzez off, but if she tried, it wouldn't have worked. Pendzez found no reason to run away from a place he was just visiting. and who gave you such permission to roam.. is what the female said to the snow white wolf. Pendzez thought on the subject, and he had a pretty simple answer to it. Though he was in a pack, sometimes he would like to get away to place that he wanted to come to again. He would eventually, he would meet the people he met before when a loner. Right now, he had to answer the females question. "I just come here to get away. I'd go anywhere, but felt like coming here to meet up with some friends from a month ago. That's enough permission for me."

"Does Phoenix Valley not teach you respect?" Pendzez was obviously not welcome to her presence. Pendzez would need to try to befriend her, or something similar. However, upon looking at her body and her face, she looked like Iskata, and she had beauty, more than the sunset. Pendzez could see it by looking at her. However, back to the question, Pendzez always knew respect, but he needs to get away. Sometimes, he would be a pack member. Other days, he would act like a loner for a while. "I do know of respect, but I just wanna be a loner from time to time," he said to the female. He walked beside her to the edge of the dock and sat down with his feet hanging over. "I didn't mean to disturb you. I'm sorry."

Firefly didn't like the casual way that the male just strolled in acting like he owned the lands. She laughed outload at the cocky attitude and glared, hoping that he'd get the point sooner or later. "When you want to get away from trouble you don't go seeking it out by waltzing into our packlands uninvited." Dahlia de Mai wasn't exactly the type of pack that you pranced into uninvited, even if a month ago a friend of yours just happened to let you trail around the lands with them. She bared her fangs at the male when he point blank decided that the musty moon old permission of a packmate that probably didn't even exist anymore was enough for him. "Even if you'd been granted permission in the past if your old chum isn't around stay at the borders.. you don't know what's lurking in another's territories."

Her annoyance at the male was quickly rising as he tried to point out that he knew respect, though he obviously wasn't getting the point this time around. When he crossed her path and moved around her further along the dock to sit down she hissed softly as her eyes narrowed. "Loners don't wander into claimed territories, do you know what happens when they do?" She'd been having a perfectly lazy autumn evening until the male had pranced in like a prince and she was more than willing to put his ass outside the boundries of their lands, even if she had to bloody her fur. She was having enough of his stupidity and lack of understanding. "You didn't disturb me, you outright ignored every marking in these lands, you kid have no damn clue what respect reall is. If you did then you would have sat your happy little ass on our borders and waited for an escort. You also wouldn't have just strolled along these lands like you belonged here, I think Iskata needs to remind you how to show respect in another's lands.. " she moved towards him, along the edge of the dock as she smiled darkly. "Or.. perhaps I will.."

Pendzez sat down looking out as he listened to the things Firefly said. Geez, it was a big deal. Mabye coming here was a big mistake. And the way she was speaking to him, well, it wouldn't be nice, or mabye doing what he was doing was probably the cause. Pendzez took a breath and stood up, turning around to face the start of the pier. "Ok, I'll go. Just a couple of things I'll ask before I go." He stood in front of Firefly, facing her. "We got off at the wrong paw, which I caused. How about you and I meet up some place where anyone from any pack can move around and talk, possibly a neutral place? Just to get to know each other more, you know." Pendzez gave her a light smile with some hope.

"The other thing..." Pendzez took a breath and said, "Has anyone told you how beautiful you look?" Pendzez gave another smile, but with truth. Pendzez was being honest and truthful. He started to think if it was a bit much to say to a wolf he just met.

Firefly's eyes never left the male as he finally decided that he was going to stop acting so dense and realize he'd stepped into the wrong lands with the wrong attitude. When the apology fell on her ears she huffed with disgust at how cocky he still seemed. The girl obviously wanted nothing to do with the boy her age and it wasn't getting through that thick skull of his. She just sat back on her haunches, watching the male as he began to move around her and towards the dry land once more. "It's possible.." she said cooly, "But that doesn't mean I want to get to knwo you at all.." maybe the Vitis was being a little bit harsh on the snowy white male but she didn't care, better the truth than he get any ideas growing in his head.

He turned once more, with a second notion in his head and when those words greeted her she narrowed her eyes and bared her fangs at the male as she admitted. "All the time..." the firey bitch said with no care as to if she hurt the male or not with her tone that stated clearly that she didn't give a damn what he thought of her or just how easy on the eyes she was. He'd never be one to find out that easy on the eyes didn't mean she was a sweet and tender little wonder to behold.

"It's possible.. But that doesn't mean I want to get to know you at all.." Pendzez started to feel wierd inside. He didn't know what it was, but he was angry inside. Mabye from the harsh sayings and by the tome of her voice, Firefly was to blame. Well, Pendzez coming here was obviously a mistake. A big mistake to gether worked up. Apolgizing didn't seem to be helping. The only thing Pendzez said was, "Fine, fine" Mabye it wasn't the right thing to do, well, he had a lot on his mind and that made him lose track of things, making him walk into another packland.

"All the time..." Pendzez again felt angry inside. It was too much for him to handle. He had to let it go, but it would make a big outburst. He had no choice in the matter. His eyes gave an angry look, his teeth bared, and gave a rough growling sound. Next thing, he stamped his left foot, which shook the pier. Then he looked at Firefly with his teeth revealed. "What the hell is your problem" Pendzez was furious. He was never like this. "I understand that I crossed the borders, I'm sorry. It was an accident. But it doesn't mean you tell me to piss off! Keep that trap shut! You could've asked to leave politely instead of threatening me. Or mabye that never crossed your mind since you seem to act like the world revolves around you. Pendzez lashed out words at her. He was never this angry in his entire life. "I do know of respect of borders and of other wolves. You do too, but not of wolves. That's why you're not gonna get laid! So, in my opinion, you should learn how to treat other wolves with respect, same pack or different pack. And if you must know why I'm here, I got lost because I had a lot on my mind, which makes me lose track of things. I lied about the loner business. I was gonna ask for your help, but you had to lash out at me. You could've showed me the way back when I came onto the pier and I would've left and we wouldn't be in this situation! He was really out of control. Next thing Pendzez pushed her hard enough to hurt and make her fall. "So, good-bye" He walked off in a rage and turned back to the same way he came, hopefully taking him back to Phoenix Valley. After twenty or thirty feet away, he yelled out "Don't expect and apology from me until I hear one from you!"

OOC:

Sorry about the way Pendzez acted. This was his own doing. If there's some stuff that looks like PP, sorry about that. I hope that this works out in a way.

She laughed, she just laughed at the childish antics of the male. She was utterly amazed at the strange manner of boys. She really must go speak to some of the other girls in the pack and find out if these displays were common or if it was just something she tended to bring out in others. When the male tried to push her she snarled and leaped out of his reach, teetering on the edge of the pier she watched him with narrow eyes as he scampered off towards the edge of their packlands once more.

Shaking her head as the male stormed off she just raised her tail up in a mocking salute as she called out, breaking his command towards her on keeping her trap shut. "I'll show you out!" she replied hotly. She stalked after the male, keeping her distance but making sure that he did indeed leave the lands. When he stopped and turned back to scream at her she let her tongue lull out as she giggled in amusement. Her apologize, like that would ever happen. She just shook her head and continued on her duties to make certain this came to an end now.
