Her eyes watched Lucifer, flickering between the other two only briefly. They stayed mostly on lucifer, watching and listening. She knew how he was feeling, she'd been there once before. Not for the same reasons, but she knew the feeling of being low man becuase of something you'd done wrong. She was sure Akumu would ahve never given her a second chance. And it didn't matter now because Deuce had risen above the past and created her own new life.
She slowly relaxed, her shoulder s easing from their protective hunch to a more eased position. Her hands loosened at her sides. The fur on her back slowly settled into a more normal attern. All was well with her world.

What the hell was going on between these two?

Even as he thought it he wondered which two he meant. No matter which way he thought of it, every pair up had something unspoken going on between them. It was very confusing and he just wanted to get out of there. Now that he knew that everyone was all right he was content to be on his way. Cold nights and Winter storms were just around the corner. Before they arrived he had to find or build a cozy little cabin or den.

"And you, lass," he said with a polite low nod and relaxed. "Fer, da winter at least. It's too late in the season ta be heading back ta the mountains."

He suspected the Winter pass was already blocked with snow. It would be suicide are trying to plough his way back to the far mountains now.

"Aye, lass," he said with a soft sigh. In truth there had not been much loved to see. The stench of soot still lingered in his nostrils.

Noah automatically returned Lucifer's nip with one of his own. He really did care about the boy but after all they had been through it was hard to show it. It pained him to let Lucifer go but Lucifer was a grown wolf now. Noah couldn't always be hovering around and playing the protective parent. Then came the barraged of questions and Noah felt like nipping him right on the ear. More public humiliation was all Noah needed right now.

"Lad, I left because I was of no use anymore. I could not protect da pack from you and I couldn't protect you from yerself."

He was not at all pleased with the situation that Lucifer had put them in. Nor was he pleased with being blamed for his son's low rank. And as much as they love them, he would not lie. He had left because he was a failure as a father and a protector. His eyes narrowed any quietly but gruffly chided Lucifer.

"Lucifer stop. Don't be putting her in a spot like dat. It ain't fair nor right," he said firmly, then continue the little softer, "With winter coming I won't be far. Yeh an visit any time yeh like."

He returned his attention back to the females in gave them a respectful low nod.

"Tis good ta see yeh both well. Until next time?"

It was his way of asking if they were still on good terms and if he would be allowed back to visit all of them.

Iskata was quiet as Lucifer tried to plead for his father without even knowing what his father wanted. She turned her eyes to him but there was nothing but frost in them as she wished he'd snap his maw shut and leave be for five minutes. He was a man grown who acted like he couldn't fend for himself and it sickened her. He had no excuse for the poor excuse for how he was living. Though she'd placed him into the pack at the lowest rank she could the male she'd once known had had pride and vanity on his side. She'd expected him to take it all with a grain of salt and come out in the end the bigger man. The pathedic show he was putting on made her stomach crawl.

Deuce was quiet in the background seeming like she wasn't here to get between any of the words.. but to make certain Iskata wasn't going to kill her sad part time lover. Iskata stared at her, waiting for her to speak up and yet no words came. She figured that if Deuce had anything she'd say it when the time came, instead the woman just turned away from the white and black and turned to the greyscale that was between the whole lot of them. She smiled inspite of the whole mess and nodded to Noah as he ventured forth to speak of his plans.

It seemed that she didn't need to answer Lucifer as Noah did the work for her. She looked to Noah and then Lucifer as she gave Noah the only answer she could since he'd turned away the offer that hadn't even been presented just yet. "Noah, you know you're always welcome here. You've been a friend to us all and if you want a place in our family our doors are always open to you." She looked to Lucifer to see if he would object, though Noah himself had already asked for leave. She smiled again and nodded, giving her good for him to depart but not speaking for the others. "Til next time.. and don't forget to come visit when the pups arrive.." She smiled at Noah, knowing he had a weak spot for the small ones and she figured that perhaps it would dissolve some of the unease between the whole of them.

The black youth hated hearing the words that poured out of his mouth, he couldn’t protect him from the pack or the pack from him, and did he really feel that way about Lucifer? The boy lowered his head down in defeat with a sigh flipping his ears back against his head, he wasn’t going to fight with Noah, and he said that he wasn’t going to stay, he wanted to beg and beg his father to stay he didn’t want him to leave him again, he wanted his whole family in the pack with him, and Noah’s grandson. However this was not his life and couldn’t control what Noah did. He didn’t look to either of the two female leaders he knew that asking for them to help change his mind would be pointless, Noah was like the old tree strong in his roots and he was not one to have a flip flopping thoughts, he was one to take things in, letting them soak in before making his choice. The black male gave a nod, as he looked up to his father, letting Iskata say what she wanted, Lucifer was thankful that she was going to let him visit whenever he wanted.
”Thank you Iskata for allowing him to visit, Dad, whatever your choice is. I love you and glad you’ve came back.” The black male shifted his weight around on his legs standing there for a minute or so, before he walked over to his father nuzzling him, not caring if he returned it. He loved his father and would try his hardest to honor his name. He knew it might not happen any time soon, but he was willing to try. The black male looked to the two female leaders, with a dip of his head, lowering his body to the both of them.”Thank you Deuce for the promotion, I will try not to let you and Iskata down. Iskata thank you for not booting him out of the lands.”

She let the others speak, nd then she spoke up. "Noah, you are family, and family is always welcome, whether its to visit or to come home for good. We would welcome you either way. Do not be afraid to cross our borders, you will always be welcomed here." She knew Iskata had said that already, but she wanted Noah to be clear on it. He was allowed here, and thy would be eager to see him again.

Lucifer's words made her smile slightly. "Iskata would not have booted him out, Lucifer. And you are welcome for the promotion. Work hard and more will follow." She moved forward and laid a hand on Lucifer's head in a gesture of affection, and then repeated the gesture with noah. It was strange being in her Optime form while the males were on all fours.
