ok, going to be a little mushy for the ending. ..



While they imagined, she had been all the evil in the world, and he had fought and defeated it with inconceivable bravery. While she looked at him, eyes glazed with the fear of loosing her but heart and mind whiling to move along and forget it ever happened, she knew he would be this way forever. He would challenge those that sought to do wrong, and he would be the hero in his life’s story. Of this she had no doubt, and that he would call her mother made life worthwhile.

Here, I’ll show you something I didn’t show the others. Anu smiled, excited that he trusted her after fooling him.

Cocking her head she motioned for him to follow her back into the forest, and back to their world. There she would tell him in a hushed voice how to see the marks of deer, the rubbings on trees, broken trigs and bend blades of grass. Together they would track a small herd, and watch the prey as she explained how they lived and how they would try to survive the winter. She would teach him to survive off the land, and why it was so important to protect their territory and the herds within it.

In the end they would return home, tired and content. Having conquered all they could imagine, as well as the most vital of reality.
