city of the forgotten

Sankor knew his sister wouldn't let him live it down, but she wasn't here at the moment and he just wanted to walk the empty streets and be alone for a bit. Normally the male loved the company of his sisters but now it was just Ade and he since the time to find Alexey had lapsed and she'd set out to look for him. He wouldn't have been surprised if the tawny gold woman had the same idea as Ade had. Sankor hadn't spoken to Ade about Alexey yet, he wasn't certain how she'd take it, or what they would do next. He did know that he'd have to find someway to push Ade towards finding some middle ground on accepted all these changes to her world but he wasn't for sure where to start.

The two toned male had found his way into an old city park and was picking his way along the sidewalk as the bitter autumn winds blew about him. He paused a moment to consider just where he was until he caught sight of an old fountain that was sitting like a reminded to the beauty this place once held. He jogged the remainder of the distance to the spot and leapt onto the outer rim of the water fount as he stared down at the scribbles written along the edge. He knew they were words and he knew they spelled something, but he knew nothing of reading and writing and just examined it, wondering if he'd ever learn this language these humans had used to keep their own history.
