Just Another Ordinary Day

She would have to get some of those books from the library, the ones that had all of the childrens' stories in them. Naniko had kept to reading medical books and encylopedias...she had never thought that those fiction books had held any sort of value. They couldn't help her survive. But now she could see that they did have a purpose--she could read them to the pups. Sometimes there were things that Anu thought about doing that Naniko had never considered, and telling the pups stories was one of them.

And the library...it would have an infinite amount of stories in it. It was so big! She laughed at her son, nodding her head. "Of course! You'll be the prince. The mansion even has your name--Haven Manor. It can be your castle."

Maybe start to wrap this up?

A large grin spread over his features once more. So he was the prince! Of course that meant Salem was one too, and that Mati and Brooklyn were princesses. But that was fine with him. He had learned about the mansion and him having the same name not too long ago, when he had first met Geneva. He had been so confused as to how she knew his name without ever meeting him, but she had explained everything. The thought of the mansion being his castle was exciting. "Yahs! That'll be so cools! Tanks mommy! I'll be a good pwince and makes you pwouds!" Haven always wanted to make his mothers proud of him.

Out of nowhere, a yawn split his mouth open wide. The pup had been perfectly fine, but now he was beginning to feel awfully tired. Maybe it had been the long walk out here while he was being sneaky. Maybe it had been the trek up the stairs or all of the excitement. But whatever it was, it was making his little head droop under the crown. Sleepy eyes looked up to his mother. "I tinks mah body wants to go sleepy times."

She was even a little bit tired, and she nodded in agreement to the puppy. They'd had enough adventuring for one day, that was for sure. Lifting up the glass case and the armor had taken a lot out of her. She would have to come back another day to see if she could carry the suit home with her; it was pretty heavy, but with enough willpower she was sure that she would be able to handle it. She walked to the door of the place, looking out into the hall. No one was there, still--the place was just as empty as when they had come. Nani looked back toward her son, motioning. "Yeah. Let's go home, Haven."
