The small wolf liked the water, well used to like was more appropriate. Now it frightened her. It was some dark pool just waiting to swallow her and rip her breath from her lungs. But, even in the cold grip of fear, it intrigued her and called her name. Teasing her with its beautiful façade, but she knew the deadly truths that it held.

The earthen hued pup walked its boarder, playing some game that only made sense in her head. She took three steps, then two, and then jumped. If she found a rock she ran round it, then jumped twice. She preformed the routine twice, and gave a high pitch squeak in triumph. It was hard to remember all the moves to her dance, but she could do it.

Her tail waved high, and she looked around wondering if any of her siblings were around to share in her success. But no one stood with her, and no one was in view. It was cold, and with all her turning it seemed that she was turned around. Was home this way, or that? Purple eyes looked around, but failed her. Her nose came next, and to her dismay the scents that surrounded her were different, not smelling of the pack.

Ahwooowoo.. She called out, rounding her lips to hopefully send the howl out to her mothers’ ears. Fear was far off, having yet to realize that she was outside her boarders and in free territory. Was she lost?

Iskata had been out treking after her granddaughter who had disapeared without warning from the packlands, or so the elder members had thought. DaVinci and Iskata had set out to find her, leaving Tyrone to look after the puppies with his aunt. DaVinci had moved along the shoreline and the dampwoods while Iskata had begun her searching from the stretches of the city out towards the other two wolf packs. She knew soon enough she'd have to return back to the pack, her body giving the warning signs that it was beyond time for the puppies feeding. Though she knew that Tyrone and Magdalena could feed them milk from the single cattle who'd let them get close enough to milk her the Matriarch would rather tend to the children herself.

She'd paused along the borders of Crimson Dreams when she heard the call of a child. She moved on quick paws, thinking that it was Skylar in trouble, but when she came upon the small frame of the lonely pup her disappointment shown. She knew she was probably worrying too much about the young Nasphrite girl but she didn't like the idea of her being alone, especially with all the dangers that seemed to lurk behind every tree trunk and along every trail. Lowering her face down she tried to appear somewhat cheery as she settled back on her haunches and called out to the pup. "Now, where's your family?" she had yet to realize the kid's family was the stupid leader asking questions at the moment, since this was another of her grandpups.. but the wind wasn't in her favor today and the familiar scents of Naniko, Anu or Crimson Dreams wasn't washing over her just yet.

The brown pup looked around, little ears swiveling back and forth hoping to catch some familiar voice that was calling for her. That happened some times, one of her mothers would be shouting her name if she wandered out of sight. But lately they hadn’t cared as much if she ventured away, and now she was all alone.

Violet eyes closed slightly as she sat against the cold sandy bank. Having no idea what to do with herself, or which way to go the reality of her predicament started to come to the surface. The questions flooded her brain all at once, but one stood out. What if she didn’t get home?

Her efforts to solve her problems were interrupted when she was faced with the approach of a blue-eyed female. Her tail wagged, but the sight of the stranger kept her in he seat. Strangers weren’t always friendly, and she had been warned about talking to them. The adult asked her the pivotal question, and for a few seconds all she could do was stare up at her.

I dono. Her voice peeped up to the lady’s large ears. She seemed to be nice enough, she soft coat and bright eyes looked friendly and inviting. She wish she knew where they were. Wheres yours? maybe they were both lost.

Iskata smiled at the small voice that called back to her. A soft chuckle escaped from her maw as she thought for a moment on the tiny one's simple question. Her paws brought her looming above the pup and the scent of the little one made her simple chuckle explode into outright laughter as she scowled herself as she leaned down to sniff the small one. "Well, I think I found one right here!" She said softly with a wag to her tail.

She smiled softly and tilted her head to the side as she asked. "Now which one of my grandchild is this.." She teased as she acted as though it was so hard to try and keep track of the little ones. Truthfully she could remember all their names but she hadn't seen them since they were born and her own children had kept her busy enough as it was. It was a heads up between the child being Mati or Brook since the small fry was quite female and if her memory was still working Brooklyn leaned more towards her mother's fur tones. "I believe.. this is Mati?" she said finally, a very serious tone to her voice as she sought the correct answer from the babe.
