Cottontail Valley

Violet eyes squinted as she licked the cold ice off the blade of grass. It didn’t taste like the water she got from the lake, even though she was told that ice was just really hard water. There were many times where she didn’t believe the things she was told. How could all those things be true? How could there be rain so big that its clumps atop the ground, and the sky had to be blue for a better reason then, its just blue? The answers she was getting for the millions of questions she had were not satisfying, and increased the young pups urge to wander and discover them for herself.

Still too frightened of leaving the pack lands after her brief experiences, she found herself in familiar territory. Large paws crushed the frozen grasses, listening to them crumble beneath her weight. Her feet were still far too big, and she was sure that she would never be pleased with them, but they did a decent job of grasses squashing. Looking behind her, her eyes could follow the trail her footfalls had made in the frost. A smile appeared on her face, stretching across her mouth as she discovered the new talent. With a burst of energy she ran in small circles, growing larger at each turn.

Stopping suddenly she was forced to close her eyes to prevent herself from falling. A dizzy head regained control of her thoughts enough that she was able to look down and see the large circle of flattened grass she had made in the meadow. It took five large, stretching as wide as her legs would go, steps to travel from end to end. It was a masterpiece, built right into the valley, for all to see.

-snatches thread-

This region was a cold one, and Ehno was already trying to get used to the quick change in temperatures. The air here was already crisp with the feel of winter, and the breezes these days only spread around the cold air even more. The nearly constant showers and overcast skies he'd experienced here so far was something he didn't mind so much (even if it were a grim reminder of how he arrived here), and so he had already felt rather accustomed to it. But he had never been fond of the colder days, so getting used to this early frost was going to take some work.

Wandering aimlessly out into the falling temperatures wasn't his idea of a good time, but Ehno was feeling too adventurous today to simply wander about the mansion. He decided to take a stroll out behind the mansion, eventually finding himself nearing the small valley. Though he apparently wasn't the only one out and about near the valley that day. The sight that greeted him was an amusing one; Naniko's pup Mati was there, running about in little circles. As he approached her with a smile, she seemed to stop abruptly, looking rather dizzy before gazing upon the circle of trampled grass. Ehno chuckled a little, sitting down a few feet from the pup's masterpiece. "That's an impressive circle you've got there."

omg yay!!
is it ok if they knew each other?

A big sigh lifted her shoulders and rushed out of her nose. Looking down at the grass she noticed that, maybe it was so perfect. She wished she had smaller paws; ones that would let her make some thin lines could stick sharply out of the edges of her circle. Then she wouldn’t just have a circle, but a sun. Her brown feet were just too big.

All thoughts were placed aside when a voice piped up behind her. Little face and big eyes turned to see who was interrupting. It was the large male Ehno. A smile wrapped itself around her maw and her tail wagged. Hys Eho! She spoke excitedly. She didn’t know he was looking for adventure too, but was glad he chose to join her.

What had he said? It was a moment before she remembered, and the she brought her eyes back to her circle, Yahs I guess. her voice wasn’t as excited as she had once felt, but then again.. how big were his paws?

Trotting over to his legs she focused on his feet, wondering what she could do with such massive toes.
