He missed his sister already despite parting only three days ago. The silver and white wolf hadn't been alone in years - he always had a sibling close by or he had been back in Berowick with the tribe. Those had been fun years, ruling alongside Vorraussetzung. Now he was alone, wandering towards the only pack aside from Berowick that he had felt welcome in. There are been a few clans that he had traveled with but it was on a strictly Bardic venture not the family atmosphere that Jaded Shadows offered. He had wondered when deciding where to go if those that he had shared the ranks with before would still be there. Barely able to remember names of cousins his memory had been devoted to his arts. Even if he didn't remember the names of any of the Jaded Shadows members he would recognize their faces. It was a comforting thought in the darkness of this pre-dawn day. Leaving his sister still sleeping he had whispered to the crow that followed her that he would be back someday and to tell her not to worry. The bird had seemed to understand and tucking its head under a black wing went back to sleep. That had been three days ago, now he was alone and already beginning to smell the traces of the Jaded Shadows borders approaching.

Completely shifted he wiped off the little bit of snow that covered his new seat easing himself onto a rock near the borders. The leather belt that held his carving tools was wrapped snugly around his waist, fingers gently searching the various pockets. Long fingers pulled out a small carving tool similar to an ice pick and a smooth round stone. Ice blue eyes scanned the skies for the sunrise but still only the faintest colors could be made out. Dawn, he guessed, would most likely be fully broken in an hour or so. Sedition had always enjoyed the rising colors, being an early wolf each morning he would sit and carve as the colors broke the lightening skies. Not every wolf was like himself though and why he had decided to come to the borders so early was beyond him, his feet often traveled and his mind struggled to keep up. He blamed the wandering nature of the Bard. Swirling a clawed finger in the light covering of snow around him he traced a design that had been burning in his mind before setting back to the task at hand; etching the very faint outline. The small washed stone was just barely palm-sized and a very light sandstone color, the perfect color for the abstract tribal-style design he wanted to do. Tail unconsciously curled around his half of his back and onto his legs, covering the small scars that littered his left thigh.

He would wait without sound or complaint until those checking the borders came across him. He hoped to offer the stone to the current alpha, was it still Mord... Mordulin? The name came rushing back and he smiled as he gently began the initial carving. Either way he hadn't met a wolf that couldn't appreciate his art. Call it a gift, Sedition sure as hell did.

He hadn't been maybe the best mate in the world, but she had a few lesson that she was going to have to learn if they where going to start a life as one, though maybe they had jumped into the life of mate's while he was to young, and maybe she was to old to have understand the way he thinks. The black male had been thinking about calling it over and done with. Though he was sure because of the one night of drunken sex, she might be knocked up. That would mean that he would have to be at her side, being that father figure that she would need for his pups.

He had found that doing the borders when ever he was stressed or had just about any ill feeling that it made him breath and gave him time to think. It there was hardly ever any one there, so he had a reason just to run around and look stupid, heck he was good at that one.

Seeing the wolf sitting there be gave a sigh as he walked over, trying to play this nice carrying member, that he just couldn't bring him-self to play, best actors failed some time didn't they? Shaking his head, no...he had to act like he carried, he had to play nice, and care.

The carving was coming along well when the first signs that he had been noticed began to invade his senses. First the scent of another wolf, one that he didn't remember from his memory banks. Next came the very gentle padding in the light snow-covering around him and finally he saw the outline of the male approaching. He had checked the borders once or twice when he had been a member before, not something he did everyday but he figured as an amiable creature he could ease those wishing to join into a land that truly could appreciate them. Extend the favor as they had done to him. This wolf however clearly had other things on his mind and like Teri had once told him, checking the borders was the perfect excuse to get away from problems and move on. It was still kind that the other wolf wasn't taking it out on him in tone or posture.

Ice blue eyes scanned downward, despite their size different Sedition made every effort to avoid imposing postures, remaining seated but casting his eyes down and giving a respectable bow to the other wolf. As a current member he ranked much higher than himself even if his pack rank was omega -- Sedition assumed it wasn't. The other's words greeted his ears and he gave a quiet smile only know his fingers set aside the carving. "Wanting to join. My name is Sedition Wick, I was a member here briefly before when Spade ruled in Mordulin's place." Just because he had been a member didn't mean any of this would be easier, no doubt Mordulin or the current Alpha if there had been a change would want to know why he left. His answer would be simple, to return to family. Surely any wolf could understand that. Attempting to make an acknowledgment of family without mentioning Salvaged he struggled to remember the name of the other pup Salvaged had fathered (Sedition assumed he fathered). "I would be Endymion's cousin, if you should know him." Cousins didn't mean much but it was something.

He would have mentioned Valerik but that was pointless the pup was long dead, thanks to him... or at least he believed it had been his fault. He had no knowledge of the cancer that later claimed his life.

The black male looked to the beast in front of him, he claimed to know things about the lands that he wasn't even sure that he knew about. Lucifer had left the lands for such a huge time lot that it was no wonder that people knew things over him, heck if he would have lived his whole life in the lands, he was sure there would be others that knew so much more then he would. Being young some times had it's down side, though he would live on past others if he played his cards right. The male dipped his head back to towards the other, he had been so use to being the last man on the chain that he had started to show other the respect that they showed him,

Thinking over what the male said before he spoke again was something he had been working on, when it came to this job, his whole life he had been able to say what ever he wanted, when ever he wanted. This job ask him to be kind, and to hear what others are saying, and try to figure out what they where not saying. He gave a nod."Well I'm not sure who Spade is, and I never got to meet Mordulin, however if you where once a member of these lands, as you claim, and you never got thrown out for a awful crime, then I'm sure you've past the test."

The male tipped his maw back and howled for one of the leaders, the male showed kindness towards him, kindness and knowledge, something that few seem to have any more.

lezbn There was snow on the ground. The simple thought of snow had put Tayui in a wonderful mood for the past few days and today looked like it would be yet another delightful day. She was not one to be frivolously cheerful and today was no exception. The wintertime had always been her favourite time of the year, mostly because of all the memories it brought back. In her birth pack, she had always loved to play in the snow, something she still loved to do. A romp in the snow always brought her spirits up, and today, simply seeing it again did the same thing.
lezbn She had been making her way from the pack den to the creek when the sound of a howl was heard. She paused, tipping her head to the sky, and flicking her ears, waiting. Another howl followed the first and Tayui broke out into a grin. It appeared as though they had a potential joiner. Trip to the creek forgotten, Tayui set off at a comfortable lope to meet Lucifer at the borders.
lezbn It took her a few more minutes to locate where exactly Lucifer and the new joiner was, but once she did, she moved quickly to meet them. "Hello, Lucifer. Who might this be?" Her expression was inquisitive and open, for Tayui did not believe in remaining strict and stoic at every moment. She offered the newcomer a small smile, pausing as she watched him. He looked vaguely familiar, and his scent offered a hint to who he might be, but Tayui could not place the male. She was certain that they had met at some point, but it seemed as though she had since forgotten.

Sedition hadn't been a member of the pack for very long but it was enough to leave a lasting impression on him. That was why when Vorraussetzung had asked him where he had planned to go, Bleeding Souls and Jaded Shadows were easily agreed upon. He missed his older sister already but it was just happiness and contentment that showed on his features and no hint of sadness. The other wolf was right, he hadn't committed any crimes and though he had left he hadn't just run out, it had been to return to his family -- both Mordulin and Spade had understood that. Now he was back, and as Lucifer howled for the alpha he gave a nod.
"Thanks."

As the alpha arrived, a white female that Sedition didn't recognize he lowered his head, his optime form only allowing certain forms of showing respect; doing his best to remain humble and small he gave a quick smile to the female. He hadn't smelled Mordulin as strong as before perhaps the unthinkable had happened. Hoping not, the silver wolf glanced towards Lucifer and gave a quick nod before stating just his name. "Sedition Wick ma'am." He left the rest to Lucifer but he wondered why this female had just a hint of familiarity.

The male took it upon his self to give his name to the female leader, and hey that was just fine with him. The black male gave a nod to the leader and then to the joiner, as he spoke up, it was now the time for his to finish the work, he had gone over the basic questions with the male that way the leader came in got an idea of where to place the new member, and then to make sure that Lucifer didn't....try to kill the male either. Thank god, he wasn't Summer, the white female that gave birth to him that would just about kill any male that looked at her, let alone stand at the borders when she was in charge of them.

"Well he told me that Endymion is a family member, and he was member here when there was a Alpha named...Spade."It was clear with in the tone of his voice that he had not a clue how much of it was true if any really was, but he wasn't one that knew just about all the history of these lands, all he knew was that Fatin, and Tayui where the Alpha's and before that was the raven female Mordulin. There was no in between time, in his book. Maybe where was a between thankful he was more then sure the white leader would know the truth.

We can skip Shannon for this round if you'd like to get this joining post done quickly. ;]

She nodded to the newcomer as he spoke, frowning slightly as he offered his name. She had heard it before, yes, but was unable to place where. Lucifer cleared this up by explaining that Sedition had been a member of the pack in the past when it had been under the temporary rule of Spade. And if he were kin of Endyminion, this also made him related to Fatin, whom Tayui was sure would be overjoyed to have another family member join the pack. The pack of Jade and Shadows had since grown and now included the puppies in Fatin's latest litter as well as Endyminion and her sister Alarice. It was nice to know that they really were as much a great, big family as they told the new joiners. Even those unrelated were family.

Tayui smiled as Lucifer finished speaking, nodding quickly to herself and trying to sort all the information out. If Sedition had in fact been a member of the pack, someone (whether Mordulin or Spade) had seen him fit to join. However, Tayui knew that wolves could change and that although Sedition may have been in the pack in the past, such details could only influence the present to a certain degree. "And yet you have returned. Why? Why should you be permitted to join again? Wolves come and go so often, it seems, that they hardly pause to give a greeting." She frowned, pausing. "Why should you join, now?" She did not want to pressure the male any more than she needed to, but if he was in fact the same Sedition she had known for only a short while, she was curious to know why he should be permitted to join. The pack was a family, not a soup kitchen one could wander in every so often. No matter who he was related to, he had to be able to assure her that if he did leave, it would be accompanied with a goodbye.

Sedition listened to the other wolf speak and then turned his attention to the pale alpha. She seemed kind and somewhat motherly -- peaceful if you will; it reminded him of his sister Vorr and that merely gave him a smile to place on his features. Icy blue eyes scanned the ground at the other's paws and despite his size he remained submissive.

Her question was a valid one and one that Sedition had fully expected. To go back home, back to Berowick didn't require questions as it was his birthpack. Jaded Shadows however was different, this wasn't a soup kitchen and he doubted 'wanting to wander' would be a good enough reason to come back. No he would explain that he went back to his family pack and now he wanted to settle down here, watching Endy develop and mature and perhaps someday see his sister Vorraussetzung return as well and they could die together as old wolves. Now to explain. "I left to return to Berowick my homeland and to show the way to Salvaged Eternity. I did not intend to stay there though, my family -- because of him -- has begun to blossom here and my siblings can run Berowick on their own. I wish to grow old here and give my skills to the pack."

Optime form bent down on bended knee before the alpha, head bowed and eyes cast downward in a true sign of humility before adding, "If you will have me that is."

Tayui examined the male as he mulled over her question, watching as his expression changed, eyebrows drawing together and mouth twitching as he formulated a reply. She listened silently as he spoke, nodding slightly as he concluded his words with a resounding statement. She could hear the truth in his words, for Fatin, too, had left the pack for a time to see her family. For those who had blood relatives, she knew they were extremely important. She had never been able to relate to them, not having many surviving relatives she would visit voluntarily, but had her own family in Jaded Shadows. If something were to happen, it would always be here that she returned.

"It sounds like you speak the truth. And I know from the past that you possess the skills that will allow for you to survive within the pack." She paused, shaking her head slightly. She smiled at the male, peering at him with a kind expression. "I would love to see you be a member of the pack, again, Sedition. You'll be a Subordinate like all the others who join, but if you do intend to grow old here, I'm sure you'll move up in the ranks in no time. I'm glad you came back." She added the last statement as an afterthought, thinking not only of Fatin but the other wolves in the pack. It was always nice to see a familiar face return. She did hope that Sedition would remain and become a constant presence in the pack, too.
