Shiloh Hills -> rabbit lake. Could be a good she-hulk moment, Erin? ;][html]

He sat on the shore, watching as a gentle curtain of snowflakes began to fall towards the ground. Though it was rather light and hadn’t done much to cover the ground, it was easy enough to see where Pilot’s paws had trod across the foliage. With his possessions left beside the trunk of a birch, the white male sat with his legs bent rather close to his chest, both slender arms wrapped around his knees. From this side of Rabbit Lake, Pilot gazed those few miles to the other side where Crimson Dreams lived quietly on without him. Somehow, he just couldn’t bring himself to live there anymore. At least, not for awhile. Traveling just to grab his belongings had torn his heart. How could he tell Urma, or even Naniko, or Savina? He couldn’t face them. Not now. He would spend the winter alone.

Oh boy oh boy oh boy! XD

The slight wolfess walked gingerly throw the light layer of snow that was accumulating on the ground. She had been doing her usual boarder patrol, but once she had reached the edge of the lake, she had decided to move beyond the boundaries of the pack. For what reason she wasn't sure. But something felt right about doing it. Almost as if there were some sort of invisible force pulling her in that direction.

Her arms were wrapped tightly around her torso, trying to keep warm. She really should go back to the city before the weather got worse and try to find something to wrap around her body to keep warm. The downy winter coat was finally beginning to grow in, but it wasn't enough. She gazed up at the falling flakes. They were pretty, she supposed. A serene sight to watch. Maybe winter wasn't all bad.

Her feet had carried her around to the other side of the lake when her eyes finally fell back to the path in front on her and she stopped dead in her tracks. A white male wolf sat at the edge of a tree, staring off into the claimed lands. With his coloring she almost thought it was a ghost. "...Pilot?" she said, barely audible. It was, wasn't it? Savina rushed forward and knelt on the ground next to him, wrapping her arms around her lost friend. He was warm in her arms, he was real. But unexpectedly she took in the strong scent of Inferni. Her nose crinkled as she pulled away from Pilot, but her hand stayed on his shoulder. "Pilot...what happened?" The girl's eyes were somber. Something was very wrong.

His named sounded and echoed over and over in his mind. It wasn’t the voice he expected it to be. No; Hybrid hadn’t followed him here. He was alone. Again. But then suddenly there were the swishing of footsteps in the light snow fall and arms were wrapped around his frame. The touch wasn’t like anything he had felt in the last two months. It seemed almost foreign to him – this sort of affection. Though his gaze had been lost out over the freezing lake, he buried his face into his arms and knees. He didn’t want to believe this was happening. Savina had found him. He knew by her voice when she spoke his name again. "I’m fine," he spoke, though he knew that wasn’t what she had asked him. His voice seemed alien to him and that thought scared him.

What in the world had happened? It didn't seem like him to just disappear for, what had it been now? Two months? He hadn't said a word to anyone, hadn't left a note. He had just...vanished. She had been worried about him ever since, and even now that she had found him her concern wasn't relieved. Sure, physically he looked alright. There were some scrapes and scratches here and there, but nothing major. It was his personality that was making an ominous feeling grow in her gut. This didn't seem like the Pilot she knew. His head was buried, hidden away from her. "Pilot. Tell me what happened. Where have you been?" Her voice was stern, but she couldn't hide the emotion in it. "I've been so worried..."

"She’s not going to understand. She won’t want me anymore." He spoke, with surprising composure. But he knew it was true. There was no way he would be able to explain. He didn’t even want to try. He knew it would be a waste of time. No one would want him anymore. Not after what he had done. He was fifthly and broken now. Now one could fix that. "Urma won’t love me now." He raised his head, looking to Savina for the first time. He could she the concern in her eyes and he knew that she really cared. But he couldn’t face that. He wished that no one knew of his existence. That way, there would be no one to let down.

Her brows came together even further as he spoke. Who wouldn't understand? Who wouldn't want him? And understand what? Her poor friend seemed so lost, so broken. What in the world could have caused him to be like this? The one thing that she knew, was whatever it was wasn't good, and there was a small spark of anger beginning to grow inside of her. Savina hated to see anyone she loved or cared for hurt like this.

Urma? The girl had been unaware that the two former Shadowed Sun members had feelings for one another. Come to think of it, she hadn't seen Urma around at all since Pilot had disappeared. Maybe she had left for that reason. Though with the state he was in right now she couldn't bring herself to mention that fact. "What wouldn't she understand, Pilot? Why wouldn't she love you anymore? You're a wonderful person, what reason could there be for you to feel like this?" She needed to get to the bottom of this.

"I’ve been in Inferni," he stated, not sure if he was revealing it to Savina or if he was admitting it to himself. To say it was completely different than just thinking it. He had to finally admit where he had been for those two long months. He wiped his eyes, as if expecting to find moisture there. Yet, there was nothing. Instead, he felt a chill grip his spine. Perhaps he didn’t want to come to terms. But he knew he had to. He knew he needed to and would eventually overcome this.

"She couldn’t love me anymore, Savina." Pilot told her, looking towards her emerald eyes, but quickly looking away when he saw concern there. He almost felt guilty. "Not after the way Hybrid touched me," he said, his voice trailing to just barely above a whisper. He closed his eyes, wrapping his arms around his frame. For a moment, he felt as if he could feel the touch of Hybrid’s fingertips along his skin, and he shivered. That was over now. He wasn’t anyone’s pet any longer.

Her lips flinched upwards in a flash of a snarl at the words her friend spoke. Inferni. Initially she had tried to keep the war from biasing her opinion of the coyote clan, but after visiting there it had left a dark and foreboding feeling on the wolfess. The stakes that they used to mark their borders. To her it didn't matter who had started the fight. If they were willing to have such hostile outward shows, they were only perpetrating the discrimination.

But the small, short flash of anger was nothing compared to what burned inside of her after his next words. The way he had touched him? The fur along her neck and spine rose, a growl beginning to rumble in her chest. Emerald eyes had ignited with a flame. The monster inside of her was beginning to rear it's head. "What..." she exhaled through clenched teeth. Some clan member had violated Pilot? Kept him captive? And the leader had allowed this? It was only now that she noticed that there was one specific individual scent that had mingled with Pilot's own.

She would make this Hybrid pay. She would break him like he had broken her friend. Savina removed her hands from his form as her body began to shift down to her lupus form almost unconsciously.

He shuddered at her one word response, almost afraid to see the expression that had claimed the features on his friend’s face. He shouldn’t have let anything slip. He shouldn’t have said a word. But what was done, was done. And Savina looked enraged. It was only a matter of seconds, and the Lieutenant General was shifting down. What was she doing? Pilot watched with stunned eyes, then something hit him. He was suddenly afraid. "Don’t do anything irrational!" He said, surprising himself by just how rational his words seemed to be. But he knew nothing he said could change a thing. Hybrid had unleashed an entirely different kind of monster now.
