where there was once nothing
#1
Firefly had departed from the packlands again and this time she'd went further across the lands than she had in a while. The extra weight that was carrying around her midsection made her snarl with every step as she was reminded of what was to come. She had been following a strange scent that reminded her slightly of Phoenix Valley and yet had nothing to do with the pack as well. Horses. She had been well aquainted with the scent once and now it was just another fading memory. The girl was rather curious as to what horses were doing around the lands, she figured they would be wild but she hadn't ever seen a wild horse along the lands except for the ones that her mother's pack had somehow pulled into the corral and they were still running circles in the meadows even now. Firefly wasn't even sure that the horses were tamed yet though she knew her mother had some hairbrained idea to tame the beasts.. she shook her head at the thoughts and sighed at the weighty reminded that was making her motions alittle less elegant than normal.

She paused at the barbed wire fence and stared through to the dead meadow beyond where snow seemed to cover most of the world and where there wasn't snow it seemed that a few random stocks of grass were pushing through. Lifting her nose to the air she caught the stale scent again, but thistime with wolves. She was rather curious as to what she'd found here at this old barrier into another's lands. Someone new had come out to play and she didn't think she'd even heard nor seen these strangers yet. Her interest was peaked and she wanted to know what was beyond the border.. no matter how bleak and boring a snow covered meadow may appear.

muhaha. given up, had you?

The snow that covered the pack lands' meadows and fields these days was pretty, but could be a nuisance. The horses they had brought with them tended to reproduce at the most stupid of times (the owners should do better at keeping the genders apart, really), causing babies to be born during the more hostile of seasons. And with it came the extra workload, for every horse was valuable despite the fact that it should have come in summer. The poor little ones - there were two - were warming themselves in a cottage Dawali'd set up a good deal of distance away from here in the comfort and protection of a cluster of trees, but that wasn't the major problem. Their mothers were lazy, tired, and one of them were ill, and so they couldn't get any proper food themselves. Thus, the little ones would die. And then there were the half-grown ones who couldn't get to the grass beneath the snow simply because they didn't have the know-how. So someone had to go fetch grass. And here he was. Normally they'd have stocks, but they were new here and hadn't gotten around to starting and crops or anything, so he was shuffling snow and cutting frozen grass. It wasn't quite as tasty as the food they'd normally get, but at least it was food. Too bad the bastards ate so much. Sighing at his workload, and how he had already spent a good hour and the pile he had gathered wasn't even enough for one horsie mum, he took a step back and simply looked at his meager results. So preoccupied with his pile of horse food, he did not notice the female standing along the fence a good distance away from him. Her fur did stand out against all the white, and any other day he would have spotted her, but not this time. Disappointed in himself and disapproving of this task, Dawali threw the shovel into the snow next to him and put his behind onto the snow in a rather violent manner. Break time. Or sulk time. Or both.

OOC:I hope you don't mind me throwing Kujo in here.<3

Kujo had discovered his true form, that had been different from other wolvens. Since he had grown up around his mother and father, whom dwelled in their feral forms, he had not known what he was until he had been told that he was a Lupercei Ortus. Lately, he had been being in his Luper form, his spine straight up instead of parallel to the ground. He had a hard time walking around, and often was found on all fours in his luper form. His long hair was also a new feature that he was not used to. It was long and in tangles. Dreadlocks someone called them. For now, he kept them pulled back in a ponytail. He sighed lightly as he stood up to see two figures. He definitely got his height with this form. Probably the only reason he was still in the form and not in his feral form. The young male stood on his two extended legs, and started to walk forward, sometimes having to touch the ground with his arms.

He wondered how his brother was coping with this change. Kujo was certainly having trouble, but his brother might have been doing a lot better than he. He let his nose take the air, pink nares drawing in the smell of the two other lupers. His nose wrinkled slightly. He wasn't a fan of others, and frankly, he had barely met anyone in AniWaya. His digited hand pulled back and touched his dreads as he approached the others slowly. He saw the horses, but paid no mind to them, for he was not a fan of them, and he had yet to learn to ride them or anything. He sighed lightly as he approached the male AniWayain first. Uhm. You have a visitor... he pointed out and pointed in the direction of the other luper. She was conserably easy to see, for her pelt had been colored opposite than the snow. If anything, out of the three, Kujo would've been the hardest one to see, not only because he was half the size of any of the adults, but also because he had been white based, and only his orange mask would give him away in the snowy field.

She tilted her head to the side and watched the male that was shuffling snow here and there and trying to get the stupid beasts to see what was buried just below the surface. She really didn't understand just why these wolves were foolish enough to keep creatures that didn't even know how to find their own food. Firefly chuckled at the sight of his work and how pathedic he looked as he threw a little tantrum and plopped his rear in the snowbank. She ddin't even really think of how her voice would carry over the snowy field but she wagged her tail in amusement. She hadn't thought she would see much today of this new pack but this weird fellow was enough to give her a bit to chuckle over for a while. She knew she should remain at their borders but there was no point if the male was blinded by his chores.

She took a step over the border when she caught the scent of the other, her eyes flashed to catch sight of the second stranger but she paid little heed to that one, a pintsize annoyance if anything. Their pack had those and soon would have more but she didn't want to think on that. Flicking her ears back as she tried to catch the words the small fry said she decided to give up and just continue on with her free roaming of their lands since neither seemed to want to come greet her. She would demand what they wouldn't give.

Moving across the snowy grasses she called out idly. "I'd just get it over with and eat them now." She knew the uses of horses, even in Eire they had kept horses with the cattle, mostly to help when they raided the other clans cattle herds, quicker escape and more exciting.. but She'd always ignored the offer of a horse to ride even then. They were too stupid for her likings, to tame and broken. She'd been interested in the mustang that was in the corral in Phoenix Valley, even if it would have just been to let the thing escape and see what hapened next. Grinning at the male and his halfpint company as she moved closer she flicked snow off her pelt as she waited to see what the members of this new territory would do with a stranger on his lands.

His red-furred head snapped up to look in the direction of the voice that had broken his line of thought, startled, not expecting there to be anyone here. Suddenly feeling foolish, the male thanked the heavens above for his red fur as a blush rose in his cheeks, which was promptly ignored. How absent could one be? Not only had he not seen the freshly joined member of their tribe approaching him, he had also not noticed the femme standing not that far from him. Her fur was warm like his, but with traces of gold instead of his own grey, and the young one who had pointed her presence out to him was nearly white. So he could at least justify not seeing him. To some extent anyways. Quickly turning to look at the femme as she spoke, the male quickly broke out in nervous laughter. She had to be beautiful, right? Not only poor at handling a female's presence, no, it'd have to be a pretty one. This was such a great day. Letting his foolish laughter turn into a more polite series of sounds, he quickly responded to her words, trying to be smart. Failing miserably. As usual.

Heh, not really that smart to eat one's stock, is it? Of course it was. But perhaps not this stock, since they used them to handle the crops in spring... Great. Turning away from her again, he looked at the young one and tried to remember his name, wanting to remove himself from a direct conversation with the femme. Come to help me with the workload, have you.. Kujo? At least he didn't fail miserably at names.

OOC:gah, sorry for the ridiculous wait T.T

Digited paw itched the back of the dreaded mane as he thought about why he really was here. The obviously smaller wolven had no reason to be out here, and he definitely did not like the looks of this. This female was trespassing in terr that was not hers, and she had threatened to eat their stock. Kujo wanted to learn how to deal with these animals one day, so killing them would not be a good thing at the moment. He ignored the female and folded his furry arms into each other and rested them across his broad chest. I'd just get it over with and eat them now. Kujo growled slightly at her proposal. Some of us use them for things that we need to do. he commented and snorted lightly. Heh, not really that smart to eat one's stock, is it? the male spoke this time. Kujo sighed lightly and let himself fall to the ground, his legs Indian style and his arms still crossed.

Come to help me with the workload, have you.. Kujo? asked the male next. Kujo had closed his eyes to meditate before he had asked the question, and the question made his eyes open and his mismatch orbs looked at the male. He then giggled. Ya think I would actually come out to help? Nah, The adults started to talk about boring stuff, so I left. But since I'm here, I might as well help, since you're the only one working in the whole field. spoke Kujo, nodding gently as he pushed himself back up onto his feet. He shook the snow from his pelt and smiled softly at the male, letting his tail swish lightly in the gentle wind.

Firefly almost growled at the words the puppy had said his smart mouth reminding her of another. "Allow the stupid beasts to do the labor, you'll only grow fat and lazy pup.." she said with a grin and sat down in the snow close to where the male's seemed to be at rest from his workout. She stared at the small amout of grass he'd uncovered and cut for the animals. She flicked her ears at his words and a small smile appeared on her lips as she admitted. "There's a pack in these lands that seem to feel the same way, though for the most part they keep stranger prey penned up than these even." The cattle, sheep and pigs were the weirdest things that Firefly had seen but they weren't anything she had to deal with on a daily basis, they weren't in her pack. "It could be easier on you to find out if they've any spare hay.. " she suggested, knowing that winter wasn't the best time to be slaving away to keep the food fed.

She watched as he turned towards the young one and if he was there to help. She smiled and gave him a small wink as she chuckled, "Of course.. that makes it harded to find work for the young ones too I guess." The normally dark and dangerous lady seemed in a strange mood today, sure it was wise not to show your true nature when it wasn't always the one that made people feel at ease around you, but normally she didn't care. Well, atleast this change in moods was good for her pack, for the day.

The young one did not respond as Dawali had expected. Snorting in an arrogant way the child was somehow wishing to irritate the femme that was at their borders, and Dawali could not help but get irritated himself. Seriously, did this pup not have a better attitude than that? If he didn't have anything nice to say he shouldn't say anything at all. Well he had come here with no parent, which would explain a whole deal. But he should be showing a little more respect for adults. The male sighed mentally and settled his irritation. The child wasn't frank towards him, so the irritation wasn't really justified. But should he act with that attitude there towards any of the pack members so Dawali saw it, there would be reprimanding!

Dawali had forgotten the femme for a second, but of course quickly remembered her again when she spoke only seconds after the child had spoken. It wasn't as if he had time enough to properly forget about her, and for it to be visible to her that he had, anyways. Turning his face towards her again, a chuckle escaped his throat and he shot a glance at the pup. If he could be childish, so could she, but the comment sort of hit him as well, and he didn't know what he thought about that. He was at a loss in general, really, because she was here at all. And pretty. Although, at the next flow of words that exited her mouth, he felt his interest really growing. So the beautiful femme provided useful information? How kind of her. Then, at least, he had something to say about anything, which would make it less likely that he'd make a fool out of himself. You know, that sounds like about the smartest thing any of us have said so far. Where does this other pack live? The thought of relieving himself of this chore was making him very light at heart indeed. It would be easy; ride a horse over there, trade for hay, ride back with it - problem solved! Oh the joy. The femme finished off with a comment that he could easily follow up on, and even get some of that pup-frustration off his chest, and suddenly most of that tension he felt in his body because she was present was trickling away slowly. Smiling, amused, he nodded and looked at her while speaking, yellow eyes seeking the greens in the middle of her warm-colored face. Oh don't worry about that, someone's gotta shovel their droppings. The last sentence was finished off with a wink, and he glanced again at the young one. No matter what reaction it might create in him, he couldn't escape that duty. No-one could, and he took it on himself when he joined their tribe.

Firefly could easily ignore the small puppy but it seemed the longer the conversation was drawn out the quicker the small fry lost interest in the words of the two adults and he seemed to make his own exit when his own packmate made a comment on getting the boy to do some actual work and clean up after the creature's droppings. She wrinkled her nose at the idea and silently was glad that she did not belong to this strange strange pack, or tribe.. whatever they might be. Her emerald eyes found those of the male as she smiled wickedly while the pup hightailed it out of the field as quickly as possible. She chuckled softly as her smile dropped into a simpler one as she spoke up. "I'm Firefly Sadira, from Dahlia de Mai.." she ran her nails through the thick snow as she glanced about the little bit of hard work the male had been stuck doing.

She really didn't want to make any comments on how having such creatures really didn't seem worth it, he'd already pushed aside those thoughts she'd already graced him with and he seemed so interested in keeping the dumb brutes that she could only help him along since she'd already mentioned Phoenix Valley and it's horrible collection of dimwitted pets. She smiled slightly at one of those dim beasts as she gave the information the red male was interested in. "Phoenix Valley, they live north east of here along the beach.. past the human city." She turned in the direction of the packlands in the distance as she continued on. "You can't miss them, they're the only pack along that coast." She grinned at the idea of how her family would react to knowing Firefly had pointed the male in their dirrection.

Who in their right mind would think that Firefly actually might be up to a good deed or two.. of course she was hoping that Phoenix Valley would give them too much hay and the pathedic excuse for a pack would have to get off their rumps and work some like the rest of the packs in the territory. She knew she was being unfair, the pack had done their work in the sweltering heat while the others had lounged about.. now they could stay huddled up in the cold weather while the rest of the world had to hunt and gather to keep their way of life alive. She shook her head slightly at the thought before asking the male, "Sooo.. who are you anyways, and this pack?"

Two yellow orbs set in a red face followed the young one as he bolted away. Mentally, Dawali sighed. If he seriously could not cope with the duties of this pack then he might not be suited for sharing their life. He would have to be approached later, and put into place, and Dawali always dreaded such things. Now, however, the young boy had earned it, and the sub-leader was very much certain that Kujo knew that himself. His eyes moved towards the femme again when she spoke, giving a name to the lovely face, and a pack name at that. He'd heard the name of the pack, although he did not know where they were. Very discreetly, he breathed in her scent, so he could remember the Dahlia smell should he encounter anyone else, or their packlands. Of course, Dawali quickly nodded, bending his head so the nose pointed towards the ground, and he lingered in this position for three or four seconds, whilst he spoke his name. It was a formal greeting, but none other would suffice - this encounter had been very useful already. Dawali Amara, Bone Bearer of AniWaya.

Quickly enough after he had given his name, she revealed more details of use for him, and the awkwardness that had given him a break through the presence of the boy came back with full force. Now it was only them, in conversation, and she was very beautiful and polite. And, he noticed now, her stomach was shaped in a clear bulk - she was expecting. His eyes flickered to it and back to her face, although it would probably not go unnoticed. It wasn't really hard to see, but he had been preoccupied with other thoughts until now. Now, women in general made him awkward, and beautiful women even more so. Pregnancy was an utterly female thing, and it made him increasingly insecure. Even when Mischka had been expecting, and with their children at that, he had felt this awkwardness - despite how she had scolded him for it. Added up it made him want to gulp with uncomfortableness, although the urge was subdued - he would not deliberately make a fool out of himself. He would probably do it anyways sooner or later, although he naturally did not wish to speed up the process. His respect for her grew, however, for the information she offered, and once again he bent his head - although this time not as a greeting. Thank you, Firefly. The information might come in handy.

She presented the question of who they were, and before he could think he had already replied, although how much sense it made he did not know. What was there to say about them, anyways? They were here, they had feathers in their manes and they built huts and great fires, kept horses and made tools to tend their crops - crops who would, in spring, dominate the fields here. Or at least, that was the hope. We are AniWaya, a tribe from quite far away from here. We've traveled to find a new home, and that is what we have found here. I am the sub-leader, of this tribe. His eyes looked at her, sought the green orbs, although much out of politeness. He had no wish to lock his gaze onto hers, as her presence made him so awkward. Lucky was Kujo, who had left, he thought. A restlessness settled in him, the faithful companion of the awkwardness, and he felt the urge to excuse himself and go. He would do no such thing, however, but it would be a relief once the encounter was over.

Firefly couldn't help but notice the nervous glances and lingering looks the male made, as though he were still but a young child fresh from puppyhood and just learning about the opposite sex. She thought it was such a pity that she was currently in a state that she couldn't bring even more of a blush to his cheeks or a stammer to his words. Perhaps at a later date or time she could try. There was always later and she did so love to see the males turn into awkward little boys when she flicked her tail their way. The thoughts that lingered in her head made her smile slightly as he gave her his name. She stored it away in the back of her mind along with memory of the shy but sturdy male that graced her presence. She could find a place for him in time, she knew she could.. if she dared.

When he'd thanked her for the information she'd granted him she just shook it away with a pass of her head and a soft smile. "It really is nothing.." she said with that soft irish tenor as she ducked her head down a moment. It really was nothing to her, he would be pestering Phoenix Valley, not Dahlia de Mai and her mother would probably have to answer to their pleads, and if she knew the foolish woman she'd give them everything they wanted and more. Her little smile stayed upon her lips as she raised her emerald orbs and tossed her bangs from her face with a tilt of her head when finally he granted her the brief history of their pack, or tribe as they called it.

The coppery gold woman who was thought a minor goddess of sorts by others, for reasons few knew but if given the chance she'd make the silly title more believeable in the future. She had a mate who would turn a tail without a second thought, why she couldn't do the same, well after the puppies were born into the world maybe she'd show him just what she could do. With the knowledge of the tribe he seemed to seek out her gaze, something it seemed that the male had been avoiding the whole time. She smiled softly as she nodded, those sparkling gems meeting his own eyes as she spoke. "Perhaps when the seasons grow warmer you will find how pleasant the lands.. and the wolves of the territory can be.." Her eyes danced as she teased the male slightly, wondering if he could catch onto her gest. She loved the awkwardness that he posed, and a leader none the less!

The femme proclaimed the information given was "nothing" although it might very well decide the future of the foals whose mothers currently had too little to eat. That is, if this pack would agree to trading with them. If not, the youngest ones would most likely die, although one had been born a while ago and might very well make it. If so Dawali was glad, and he was considering taking that particular foal as his own if it survived the hardships ahead. The little male horse had taken a liking to the red wolf from the start, and that was a sign of a good and loyal horse. Mostly, when Dawali visited the stables, there were no one else around, so he had no idea if the horse took an easy liking to everyone, but it didn't matter. No one had yet "claimed" the little foal, and Dawali had been meaning to put up a little shed for a stable outside his den anyways, in case Asha might visit, or someone else with a horse. It was, perhaps, an optimistic thought, but it would provide him a thing or two to do.

It seemed to Dawali that the appearance of the femme in front of him seemed to shift somewhat, or at least the way she gave him attention in changed. Dawali shifted his feet, nervous, and until she spoke he did not exactly know what to do. Clearly, however, the femme was merely teasing him - he had thought perhaps he had offended her in some way. An angry female equals bad, an angry pregnant female twice the scolding. Walking hormone bombs, they were, and scary as hell. Now that she exposed her objective of sorts, however, Dawali relaxed fully. It was perhaps a compliment, or he should consider it so, but it had in reality no effect. It wasn't because of his lust he had been awkward, it was the possibility of offense. Smiling quite casually, unaffected by her teasing behavior, Dawali replied calmly, his hands gesticulating vaguely. The lands are pretty pleasant already, as is the company so far. I've already quite a number of friendships in the forming. Unfortunately, Dawali had lost his mate to disease nearly a year ago, and he was quite certain she had been the only woman he could be with, with her gentle demeanor and accepting ways. Firefly was beautiful, but she would kindle no lust in his chest. A tiny spark in his eye revealed that her message had not gone unnoticed, but that did not mean he would come out and play. There was simply nothing in it for him.

She couldn't help but smile at his words as he spoke of the lands and the company they had to offer. He wasn't for certain just who the male had met but she was certain it probably wasn't the same crowd she tended to drift about, or had in the past. Now see had turned more towards her pack and the family that was forming within the lands. Though there was love between the two cousins it was hard love and filled with just as much darkness as caring and gentle caresses. While the male before her had probably had the best of all worlds in her past life the Sadira woman would have gladly tested new waters to see if there was another soul who could stand the passions of her desire and keep up beside her at the same time. Though she would probably always be drawn towards the chocolate hued Soul she didn't honestly believe their love would ever weather the storms he was so grand at putting them through. Sooner or later her steele frame would show through and she'd walk right out on the Lilium, now wasn't the time though carrying his children in her womb.

She caught the sparkle in his eyes as she turned her own away from the male as she chuckled softly. "Well I hope that your forming friendships blossom into lasting ventures.." she said, knowing that having someone to turn to in timesof need was just as important as having one to turn to in times of loneliness. She could count her friends on one paw but she knew that if ever anything would happen she could turn to them. They might not understand the reason for the things she did or even like them but they were there through all. She winced as one of the fiesty unborn gave her a nudge. She growled slightly and rolled her eyes at the shifting movement of the young. "Not even born yet and they have plenty to say.." she laughed softly.

This is crap, sorry. Need to get into this again!

The female was not offended, it seemed, nothing in her attitude changed to speak of annoyance. Instead, she seemed to maintain her mood, although not quite as teasing as she had been. Dawali had by now relaxed quite fully, and was studying the woman's stomach with interest. So long (not long in reality, but that time felt like it was years away) since he had had small puppies to take care of himself, he truly envied the woman. When she spoke again, her voice clear and calm, his yellow orbs swung to look at her face again, studying this part of her instead as the wise words exited her mouth. Dawali nodded and smiled, and though she wasn't directly teasing now as before he thought he could still sense the underlying teasing. For a moment his eyes met the ground in thought, for he - too - hoped that would be the case. Already he had Tayui and Leland to support him, hopefully, and of course the community would be helpful whenever it was needed. There was no person he might give his heart to, but as long as his daughters lived he did not believe he needed such a person. Again the orbs swung up to meet a face decorated with creams, browns and crimsons, and now they were focused, honest, and open. So do I.

That face which he now looked on suddenly grimaced, and turned its eyes downward to the protruding ball of life on the femme's stomach. She growled, obviously not happy with their kicks, which apparently could be very uncomfortable, and Dawali was happy to bring the conversation onto a different subject than himself; children. Hehe, they'll have plenty to say as soon as their eyes catch some sunlight too, I'll bet. The male smiled, his eyes smiling along with his mouth. Hardly anything delighted him more than children.

Firefly just flashed him a grin as he spoke once more, she knew quite a few but considered few friends. It was part of her nature to walk through life thisway and she was content with it. She knew that not every soul out there believe the same as she did, but the less that really knew her the less she had to worry about who was hurt and what happened down the road. She flicked her ears back a moment on that idea and wondered if she would even bother socializing with souls outside her pack since there was hardly any chance they would meet again unless political or social moments thought it necessary, though she just let the thought linger for a moment before shoving it aside with a absentminded rub to her belly with one paw.

The male made her laugh at the comment. He had no clue what sort of world these poor children were about to be born into. A pack that would care for them yes, but parents that were constantly at war and emotions that ran high.. she wondered if the small guys would even make it to see their first spring at the rate the high speed world in her pack was moving. Her gaze moved to the ground and away from the male's eyes as she shook her head. "As long as they don't take after their parents I think the world will be fine." Her eyes were dark with humor as she smirked, knowing that it was hard enough for the world to handle the two wolves of Dahlia de Mai, muchless their offspring. She was secretly excited to see what they would bring to the world but just the same afraid, she didn't know if everyone felt this way but she wasn't about to ask.

Rubbing her forleg against the spot where the child had kicked she smiled softly at the male and chuckled. "I'd better head back before my pack starts to worry about their next generation.." She knew that a few might worry about her but the puppies would be the main thing on anyone's mind if she disappeared for more than a day or so at a time. Really, some days she felt that she was just around for their amusement and questions. It wasn't like she could answer them, she'd never had puppies before, it was an all new experiance for the whole pack of young wolves it seemed.

Wrapping it up now?
Word Count: 364

Dawali silently studied the female who laughed at his words, seemingly knowing secrets he would never grasp. Of course, she knew more than him on the subject of these pups, and their pack, but there was more to it than that, apparently. No matter, she kept a good mood, and he kept still, not stressed or nervous. Her hand caressed the house of her children without her paying attention to it, it seemed. Dawali had seen it before; his own mate had had the habit of absentmindedly stroking the ball that her stomach had turned into. She had kept it up not knowing it even a few weeks after the children were born - it had humored him greatly. A smile rose on his face, both at Firefly's sentence and at the memories these things brought forward. His mind spun for a moment or two with associations as he watched the hand move, but was brought back again when she spoke to him, maintaining the conversation he had drifted away from of nostalgic reasons. His eyes quickly found focus again, and sought the green orbs of the woman in front of him, looking as if he had paid full attention the whole time. Nodding as she spoke, he saw much sense in it.

Safety first, I always say. Dawali meant it for all of them - not just the litter but the mother as well. His eyes flew to the tummy that stuck out so before they closed as he bid her farewell in his usual manner; the gesture was the same as his normal greeting - a tip of the face so his nose pointed to the ground, lingering in the position for a moment or two, before he again lifted his head, opened his eyes, and looked at the person, in this case Firefly. It's been a pleasure, Firefly Sadira. It had been, despite the slight attack of nervousness on his part. His body posture revealed that he would leave the second she - too - gave the signal of closing the encounter. Waiting, he stood more sideways from her now, ears in her direction to catch any words she might speak.

She did little by smile at the words of the male, she wasn't exactly one for safety but the male didn't need to know everything about her just yet. She flicked her eyes off into the distance as she wondered if anyone in the pack had actually noticed that the higher ranked mother to be had been absent for quite some time. She gave a twitch of her tail as she dismissed her thoughts and with the soft smile returned her eyes back to the male as he graced her with the strange farewell.

She lowered her own head slightly and spoke softly. "The same Dawali.." she hoped that she would see him again yet she left the thought just where it lingered as she turned back towards the slim opening in the barb wire and began her long tramps back towards the lands of Dahlia de Mai. She hoped that she wouldn't begin to feel worn before making it back to the packlands, she already was tired enough to find a place to just curl up in, but she didn't want to hear it from the others if she didn't appear back at their doorstep like a good little girl.

She shook her head to herself and braced for a long and weary trail back, but she dreamed of curling up before the fireplace, a nice thought to keep her determined and on the path.
