Having chosen to stay in the comforts of the mansion — since trudging through the snow any longer than he had to wasn’t exactly an option — Cross had attained a better nights sleep than he may have had outside. The rickety bed-frame and its mattress had proved more comfortable when stretched out in his shifted form, than curled up as a four-legged canine, and he woke up well-rested and energized. With a great yawn, the coyote extended his arms and legs, flexing each of his major muscles and pectorals carefully before rolling from bed.

He stood up in the small room, which had previously been some sort of servant’s quarters or something similar. His ears brushed the ceiling fan, and Cross folded them reflexively despite no apparent danger to them. He opened the door and strode slowly down the long hallway, ruffling his hair with one hand while using the other to straighten his bandanna accordingly across his scar. He marched down the stairs, and stood in the foyer of the mansion, attempting silently to decide whether he should go out in the cold, or stay in all day. He had felt a bit jaded by the previous escapades of the day before, so was not too keen on leaving the mansion.

hiii. I'm stealing all of the AW Inferni threads >_> Siobhan is shy and doesn't like leaving the lands much. And she has never seen a house.

She liked to think that she was getting along a little better without Ezekiel there holding her hand all the time...but she couldn't. Every time they were apart she felt like they should be together--like she needed to be there with him, whatever he was doing. But she also knew at the same time that even though she couldn't get by without him that he could probably get by without her. He'd been all by himself when she'd met him, but now he had met back up with his father. She wanted to give them some time together, too.

But she was having a rough time with it. The girl had come back to the den that she shared with Ezekiel and Gabriel the night before, but had risen early in the morning and left before the pair had woken up. Now she was getting tired from jumping through the snow (She wasn't tall enough to walk through it, really) and was thinking about taking a rest.

It was around that time that she saw the building in the distance, and she looked ahead at it. She'd never seen something like it before--it was very large. Was it like a den? Could one get inside of it? Siobhan wasn't sure. She approached the giant thing slowly, timidly, scoping out the front of it, then the sides, then the rear. There were tall rectangular things that looked like they might move...but what did she know? The tiny five-month-old circled back around to the front, garnet eyes still observing carefully. There was something about this building that kind of freaked her out. She came slowly up onto the porch, looking at the front door.

It was open a little bit, and she could see inside. Siobhan was about to scratch at the door when the wind picked up, though, slamming it shut in front of her nose. She let out a loud yelp of surprise, falling head-over-tail backwards down the stairs. "NO, YOU CREATURE. YOU DOES NOT BITE SIOBHAN!" She shouted angrily at it. How dare the thing try to bite her nose! She hadn't really wanted to go inside anyway!
