The mere fact that he should not be here did of course not stop him. He stalked the outskirts of the borders, eyeing the newest heads on the stakes. So interesting that Gabe was allowed to kill the old way and put his fallen opponents on stakes, yet Haku was officially the bad guy from the war. The cocoa Lilium from the flower named pack land just could not understand the logic behind it. The male’s light coloured muzzle lifted into the air and snorted slightly. Inferni had grown and shrunk since he last had stalked their borders. Gabriel’s scent was still strong and dominant, clearly stating pure blooded wolves to stay out. Fine, he would. He would just swiftly pad around for a bit then be out of here. His nose and ears would notify him if a coy was on its way to attempt to beat his sorry ass. Haku was all too visible in the mass of snow, but so would every other coyoteish canine be

She didn't really know where Ezekiel had gone off to, and this worrired her. Siobhan needed him around, needed him to show her how to do things. He had said that he would be there, hadn't he? Then where was he now? She was starting toward the borderline, hoping to find her way to the packlands that she had visited a few days before...something Dreams. All that she knew was that Haven was there. He would help her out, she knew it. She hadn't known him for very long, but the last time she had gone there he had been so nice!

A flicker of worry went through her when she saw movement up ahead, though, and her ears perked up to attention. She was in her lupus form...so she was even smaller and shorter than usual. Even for a coyote Siobhan was tiny, around the same size as three-month-old Haven from Crimson Dreams. She wouldn't stand a chance. The girl stood right where she was, putting her ears down and closing her eyes. Maybe he wouldn't see her against the snow, and he'd walk right on by.

Truth be told, Haku might have completely overlooked the little girl if he had not happened to walk closer as he randomly trailed the borders. Eyes filled to the very limit with the blue of the ocean wandered across the place where the girl was standing several times, before they slowed down and stopped at the sight of fur instead of snow. Curiosity cheerily ticked his senses, and for a moment his body was frozen in the snow while he watched the white girl in the snow. So small she was, who would leave a child on Inferni soil? He managed to take a few careful steps closer before the ugly truth of her belonging hit him in the face. The white fur made the male quickly assume she was an albino, and that assumption would only strengthen when the female was to open her eyes and reveal a pretty red colour. An ugly little coy child, eh? The male gritted his teeth while pondering. A jolt of desire to do something gruesome shook him and made his jaws snap to test the strength of the muscles there. He had killed before and he could again, but he dismissed it all instantly. It was sad how basic he was, how basic he could be if his natural acting had not been held back by certain individuals and responsibility. He was so sick of it all.

His ears flickered in a friendlier manner, and he kept staring at the girl, like a wild beast looking at an infant in a mother’s arm on the other side of the cage. He found her pose a bit comical, but it had no doubt been effective. He was certain he would have overlooked her if he had not come closer to the borders and towards her. He was unsure what to say or do, because wild children were almost certain to run away and squeal no matter what he did. It would to do stare until she opened her eyes at least.

Her eyes opened at once, staring at the beast in front of her. What was someone like this doing in Inferni? He smelled....strange. Not like the place that she lived in. She could tell that he was out of place because of his strange scent. She couldn't base it off of his appearance; Gabriel didn't really look much like a coyote, and he was their leader! And Zeke's dad. But this one...he sure did smell weird.

Siobhan opened her mouth, then closed it again. What should she say? He didn't belong here! And this was her home. But she didn't want to make him mad."Whachoo doin' here? Dis isn't you's lands."

The child’s age confused him slightly, because he was unable to determine an approximate evaluation of how old the girl was. A coyote was a coyote, no more and no less in his eyes though, so he simply filed her under possible snack. He knew he was on dangerous grounds, and there was a fragile peace between Dahlia and Inferni. Such a shame, really, because Inferni was not as strong as it once had been. The Dahlian war had failed, but that was because he had been driven by the members to forge an attack. The other packs had looked away and pretended not to see, and Gabriel had somehow forged alliances with outsiders that had been skilled with the crossbow. The Lilium had somewhat gotten what he had wanted, all in all, but the most exciting part of that silly war had been back the night when he started it all. The mother and the child strung up as a piece of art with guts and blood all over the place. It had been so beautiful. Haku had been made for such things, a terrorizing monster with neither pity nor remorse. A perfect psychopath in many ways, really.

His chocolate and cream ears flickered slightly as the child spoke. His feet had brought him here almost completely by random, but he wanted to know their numbers, but he was unsure how to go ahead and gather information. He would rather not give the task to someone that did not have a bounty on their heads, because these were not official matters. If Gabriel and Haku had a confrontation again (regardless of where, the wolf believed) one of them would die. Haku wanted his blood to boil again, he wanted to be alive. I’m sorry, little Miss, I think I might be a bit lost. The man gave a slight shake of his head and took a half hearted step towards the white cotton ball before a flash of uncertainty was revealed in his face, because she might would get frightened if he tried to come close. Could you please tell me where I am? His shortened tail sought sanctuary somewhere between his back legs, a sign of the uncertainty present in his face, and a hint of submission because this was her lands and not his.

Siobhan was behind in nearly every aspect of life. She didn't know how to hunt, couldn't speak properly...she was a six-month-old, but officially she'd only been out of the den for a month or two. She hadn't been exposed to the same things that other pups her age would have been, and she was much smaller than them too.

She thought that everybody knew where Inferni was. It was obvious, wasn't it? There were wolf skulls lining the borders and the lands smelled distinctly of their kind. She knew that she couldn't overpower Haku and make him leave...but she did have the power to call for help, to call for one of the others to come and chase him out. And she knew the territory pretty well, too...she would probably be able to elude him if he tried to chase her.

She liked to believe that everyone could be trusted, and until he broke that trust then she would give him the benefit of the doubt. "You is in Inferni. You is a big wolf...and strange colored. You know someone here? And what is your name? I is Siobhan"

The adult brute nodded slowly as the little girl explained that, yes, he was indeed in Inferni. He slipped on a little smile when she said that he had a strange colouring, but it seemed the little girl had not been out much and seen the wide range of colouration amongst the wolves. It was.. sort of cute in a way, her innocence and naivety. He was actually a bit puzzled, because he had honestly taken for granted that the majority of the puppies adopted their elders’ hostile behaviour from the first explosion of life. Then again, who here could be her parents? She seemed quite different from the rest, and he meant he had an idea of the different coyotes that were around her. She could not belong to any of the individuals he knew of. It did not matter anyway.

He nodded, because he knew quite a few of the coyotes here (maybe mostly those that had been there.), but the relationship was not warm, because most wanted him dead. Nice to meet you, Siobhan, I am Haku. His innocent smile widened slightly and he gave her a little nod, because now they were acquainted. His attention seemed to turn to the skulls. The one closest to him was blistering white and stripped for meat, but the one beyond that (and closer to Siobhan) had still some flesh and fur hanging left.

The brute stepped towards the skull to get a closer look, but he stepped slightly sideways so that he did not come directly in her direction, and he hoped it was clear that it was not her that he was after, but the skull. Do you think it hurt when their heads were taken off? he asked curiously while peering at the skull. His own would probably join them soon enough.

There were some parts of Ezekiel's homelands that she didn't understand, and the floating heads was one of them. She had tried to make her own out of snow a week or so before, but had ended up breaking the head because she'd shoved the stick into it too hard. Siobhan wasn't sure how to answer his question without it sounding strange--she didn't know if it would hurt or not, to have your head taken off. Maybe it had been painless...or they had already been dead. She couldn't even guess.

"Back home...we did not do this thing. But there wasn't no wolves around trying to get into our land, either." She said. "I thinks that Gabriel would take off anyone's head if they made him real mad. He's got that big bird thing following him around. It could peck the eyeballs out first" That was how she figured that it worked. If a wolf didn't have any eyes, then it wouldn't be able to see. And then it would be easier to take its head off. "These is always been here ever since I came. But they are scary...'specially at night time. You should come back then, at night, to see them." Siobhan shivered, thinking about it. "Your clan does not do this?" She questioned.

He listened to the girl’s innocent words. Maybe he should let her go without trying to snap off her head first. He knew not all the members of Inferni were as bad as their rumour. Coyotes were like wolves, they could be good or bad. It was just that the majority of Inferni had always been slightly off the edge and given Inferni its infamous reputation. This girl would perhaps grow just as vicious as the rest, but was it right to go for her now when she posed no threat? He never knew the mother and the child that he had slaughtered on these same borders many months ago. He had never cared, because that had not been the point. Rather get them sooner than later, had been his motto. Was he growing soft? Was that it? The male stared at the oddly coloured coyote child, slightly frustrated because of his tangled up thoughts and feelings. His plan had been to get closer and then pounce at her to give her a fright, but he was not sure if he wanted to do so any more.

”No, our clan does not do such things. We do not kill coyotes and wolves that come too close to borders. We make them go away sometimes if we don’t like them, but we do not kill them and put their heads on sticks.” He licked his dark lips slowly before he added more. ”Gabriel is a strong leader, but he can be mean if you are not a coyote or wolf, for no particular reason. These heads are put up as a warning of what might happen to me if I cross your borders.” If Gabriel had been close by and caught the chocolate wolf’s scent, the hybrid leader would have tried to get hold of Haku’s head nevertheless, he knew. ”Is it not lonely to not get any visitors? Are there many coyotes to play with?” Was she an isolated child? Truth be told, this was the first ‘child’ he had seen that belonged to Inferni. Of course, he had dealt with Gabe’s daughter, Talitha, but she had been almost an adult.

There wasn't really anybody in Inferni who she could play with. Not others that were her own age. She did have one friend who she really liked being around, Haven--he was a really good friend to her. He'd given her a teddy bear! A present. She wanted to give him something now, too. But other than Haven, there wasn't really anybody that she liked playing with. She did follow Ezekiel around a lot, and occasionally had lunch or supper with Gabriel. That was fun.

"No. There is no others. Siobhan was not born here...she was born far away. She was brought here by Ezekiel." She did want to play, though. She wanted to play a lot. "You want to play?"

300+ its a bit outdated, so figured it could end here Smile

So, what was he really doing here? Why was he talking to a small child that belonged to the enemy clan? Why was he even here? His eyes stayed on the pale child with the crimson red eyes. He wondered if she was fully colour blind. Haku's vision was in colours. He believed most plain wolves lacked the privilegie of colours, but the luperci gene had quite some fun stuff, at least for Haku and his family line. Some wolves seemed to change colour and shape when shifting as well. Haku's mother had always been a fairly odd shifter because of the drastic change that came with her luperci form. In her plain wolf form she was stripped of colours. Brilliant white fur with silver eyes. In her werewolf form the white was polluted by grays and even black here and there, and the silver turned to crimson, as if the bullet had finally hit its target. Odd, odd.

The child spoke, and the large brute shook his head to reconnect with the present. He snorted at the child's innocent words. He did not know any Ezekiel, did not want to play with her. Why had he wasted time by talking to this ignorant girl? Haku tilted his head slightly, pondering why he had allowed this stupidity to go as far as it had. Oh well, it was not too late to get out of the idiocy. Most of all he wanted to be cruel and hurt her because she was of Inferni, no matter how untainted and lovable her soul was. Souls were there to be consumed by Haku's black sickness. He wanted to kill. Though, not today. "No." The man remained still for a few more seconds before he turned away from the borders and started to pad in the opposite direction of the ivory Inferni cub. His mood was slowly turning sour, for no apparent reason. It had been too long, maybe that was why. He would have to do something about that.
