The little girl made no sounds as her mother stooped to gather her things. Instead, she tried to take comfort in the warmth of her mother’s chest, even though it had begun to heave with sobs. The Inferni woman had trailed off towards the stand of trees, cradling her daughter as if she were the only thing left in the world. Once she passed the first trunk, she turned, as if to offer one last goodbye. She let her crimson eyes settle on the figure along the beach – the prince who would never be able to rescue her. As he began to slowly turn, Ryan turned away. This had all been a terrible choice and she knew she had brought it upon her self. And so she stalked away towards the clans lands, keeping her daughter wrapped in a firm embrace while tears dampened their fur.
