All Welcome, Halifax. And I have no idea how this got so long. D: WC: 600+

Ehno grabbed the handle of the cart in front of him and with a grunt, began to push it forward. The cart was stacked high with boxes of useless things, among then a large box labeled “TOILET.” The whole stack was blocking the path to the next aisle in the rundown and long abandoned hardware store and, of course, that was where the Italian boy needed to go. Had the other aisles not been so cluttered with an obstacle course of old merchandise, he would have just chosen another path. He figured he could try to push his way past first, and if that didn’t work he would turn back and navigate through the hazardous paths strewn with old rusted pipes and display window frames.

But with a squeak of the underused wheels, the cart gave way and he managed to push it aside. He veered it to the left once he was mostly clear of the aisle to keep it out of his path, but before he could breathe a sigh of relief he felt the cart collide with something he couldn’t see. A moment later he could hear a thunderous crash accompanied by several small, higher pitched pops. Ehno flinched from the sudden noise, pulling his ears back against his skull. He released his grip on the handle of the now-stationary cart and walked over to see what he had collided with. The sight of a fallen display of light-bulbs greeted his amber gaze, broken bulbs and shards of glass scattered about. The Marino peered at the shattered bulbs curiously for a moment, trying to figure out what they were before he shrugged and continued on to his destination.

The Marino boy had arrived at the hardware store earlier with the intention of scavenging a few more carpentry tools for use back at Crimson Dreams. He had a few smaller tools already stored in the corner of his room, but he realized that he would need some bigger ones as well to work on more extensive projects. He had already discovered that chopping wood into workable pieces with an axe was far from accurate. He had poked around this building once a few weeks ago and now he had returned with a purpose.

When he first entered the old store, a turned over display near the long-since-raided checkout counters had caught his attention. There were several plastic packages scattered around the colorful cardboard display. Ever curious, the Italian boy walked over and picked up one of the packages. The plastic was decorated with the same colors as the display along with an illustration of a human standing in some sort of heroic pose and wearing a strange belt.

Upon further inspection, Ehno found that the item in the package was one of those belts. He had torn open the package and inspected the thing. It was made out of a sturdy, almost canvas-like material, and contained both large and small pockets. After another glance at the cardboard display, he realized these pockets were used to hold tools. Sure that it would come in handy, he decided to keep it. The male tied it around his waist like the human in the pictures had it. And just for fun, he struck the same pose as the illustration, hand on his hips, head to the side and eyes focused on some faraway object.

After this little detour he resumed his search of the store, glancing along all the shelves and finding nothing of interest until he decided to push that cart out of his way. So now that that road-blockage had been taken care of, the chocolate-hued male, donning his tool belt, stood glancing around the aisles. He hadn’t seen too many carpentry tools up until now, but he knew they had to be somewhere within these unexplored aisles. The only question now was where he should start his search.

ooc; would you mind if this took place after he got kicked out if not then it's fine! :3 sorry mines short !

Black and white body walked quietly in his halfing form among the messy stores and small streets, curly tail in it's normal high husky position. Most of his wounds were gone as well the pink and red stains from his coat, but the deeper gashes still need more time as well his body. It looks strong, and it is but its very sore an tired. Leroy's only felt tired after everything that has happened, he hasn't been able to sleep well-if sleep at all. Walking his stepped over what he could but didn't care about the rest, pushing anything out of his way or just jumping over it as he simple roamed from no reason.

Red eyes drifted towards a store as his ears lifted to the sounds within it, large body stopped outside as he stared into the building. 'now what's this..?' Sighing he didn't feel like bothering with any company, the husky was ill just very very tired. Stepping into the store his nose sniffed the are as the scent came but the sight didn't, eyes scanned the store as the sounds of items moving about rang in his ears. He wasn't sure to speak out as his tail flickered behind him before his dry voice emitted from his throat into the room."..Hello? Who's in here..?" Standing still his large chest brought in the cool air as his eyes looked for the source of the sounds.

It would probably be better if it was set earlier, but I could probably make it work. When does he get kicked out? And short is fine. :]

The Italian boy stared for a moment at the paths before him, trying to decide which aisle to search first. There were two particular paths that were the clearest of the few in front of them, and he decided that they would be first. He took a step over the shattered light bulb display toward the aisle on the left when he heard a voice call out from somewhere else within the store. As eager as he was to find a few new tools for himself, Ehno more excited to have a little company with him, even if they only shared a short chat.

He turned away from the unexplored section of the store, wandering back through the maze of overturned merchandise in search of whoever was around. Eventually an unfamiliar scent met his nose, and moments later he spotted a figure. Ehno made his way closer to the stranger, stopping once he could make him out more clearly. He was large, most likely travelling in the halfling form the chocolate-hued male never really used. But the stranger was obviously not a wolf or a coyote, sporting a distinctly colored coat and a curly tail. He had to be a dog of some sort then, though it wasn’t any sort of dog he had seen before. “Hello,” he called out in his usual friendly tone. “Funny meeting somebody else around here.” It wasn't often that he met others on his trips to the old city.
