Heath wasn’t one for sentimental memories; he had a 'vengeful and slow painful death' personality. The three siblings had been blessed, though their grief and tragedy over-shadowed that most of the time. They still had many members that had come to their aid, left off where their parents had ended. They had taught him about all the things he needed to know, all the things for survival. The extras, like the few he shared with Haven were absorbed on the side. They were the little bits he gathered in all those in between moments.

Sounds like you’ve got a girlfriend. he spoke after Haven conjured his confused words. Heath flashed teeth, giving the other a promising grin. Heath had a good feeling about his lady friend, and by the reaction Haven gave while talking about her, Heath was certain he liked her. It was somewhat relieving, knowing for certain that the boy wasn’t a sissy. He had been worried for a moment or two.

Heath rose to his paws, taking to the path he was creating through the sow. Nose in the direction of the pack smell that Haven stunk of, Heath started on a slow but meaningful walk. He wore a smile, not caring if the other saw that he was actually enjoying his company. Nodding his head, the older boy motioned for him to follow. There was no reason they couldn’t move along; there was that plan of course. The one he forgot about sometimes.

Now you just have to keep her.

A girlfriend? Haven thought that he had heard that word before. Maybe. He wasn't entirely sure but for once he thought he had an idea of what it meant. It seemed like it was definitely a good thing, especially when Heath gave him a toothy grin. "A girlfriend? Like...being more than just friends?" His mothers were mates, but people got together before they were mates. Was that what a girlfriend was? Hopefully his companion would feel nice enough to confirm or correct his thoughts. The young boy still wasn't certain what "more than just friends" entailed, but maybe the older hybrid would share that with him too.

At first when Heath got up and started to walk, Haven wasn't sure if the other wanted him to follow but with the nod he also stood up and trotted after him. A small smile had come back to his lips, glad that he had at least somewhat gotten through to the black-gloved male. On some level he knew that they were bonding. The Crimson Dreams pup had never really had a close guy friend that he wasn't related to in some way. Especially not one so close to his age. It felt good and he could feel confidence growing in him the more time he spent with Heath.

Bi-colored ears perked up at the next words from the hybrid's mouth. "How do I keep her? What do I need to do?" He tried his best to keep the concern from his voice. He didn't want to lose Siobhan!

Moving at a slow and leisurely pace Heath let the current plan he was sure he had once held slip from his mind. He was off to some place, to meet someone, or find a something. Forgetting it for now he was sure it would come back to him when he wasn’t so occupied. Or Gael would find him, remind him of what they where supposed to be doing. The little male’s problems were paramount at this point. If Heath wasn’t going to get some tail, he had to help a brother out.

A solid nod drew his head up and down and his voice held a ‘whatever’ tone, Yeah. Friends hang out, talk and what not. Looking back to the pack wolf Heath couldn’t help but sound a little more interested in the difference, A girlfriend wants you to hold their hand, kiss’m and... other things. Letting his voice drift off at the last point Heath figured it was best if he took it slow, Haven was so lost anyways Heath didn’t want to leave him in the dust.

Devious thoughts took him back in time, but the memories were laced with weed and alcohol. He was certain that what he had wanted to actually did, but the memories were fuzzy and not much more then a haze. The kid seemed to be an alright one, and Heath wanted him to get the girl even if he hadn’t. Moving to topic two, Well, girls love it when you compliment them, talk about their coat or something, take her some where special and say that she’s the only one you ever shown it to. And you should get her something pretty, usually if your sister likes it... its good enough. All of those were just the very basic, the easy things to reel her in.

Heath met the others gaze as his tone grew far more serious, And if you think your going to loose her or she’s getting a little flip-floppish, tell her you love her. It’s a shoo-in.”

This is just endlessly amusing XD

Haven was still playing the role of the attentive student. This stuff really seemed important! Especially now that he realized he truly did have special feelings for Siobhan. The fact that Heath thought so too only confirmed them. It also made him wonder more why neither Naniko or Anu had explained any of this to him. He knew he was still pretty young, but if he was old enough to start having those feelings wasn't he old enough to know? Shouldn't he be prepared for this stuff instead of stumbling around clueless? Quietly he set that matter aside to be dealt with at another time.

Well, so far it seemed that he and his light coyote friend had not crossed the line between "friends" and "girlfriends". All they had done was hang out, talk, and what not. It was easy to tell what holding hands was (though he wouldn't be able to do so quite yet) and he knew what kissing was. He'd seen his mothers kiss and occasionally uncle Kansas and aunt Savina too. "I see. We haven't done any of that stuff yet..." Was that bad? Was there a time limit on that sort of thing? He hoped not. "Other things?" The boy couldn't help but let his curiosity get the best of him.

Haven made mental notes of everything that Heath said was good to do. Compliments. Had he complimented her? He couldn't really remember for sure. He had taken her to the mansion, was that special? Maybe not. Tons of wolves had seen the mansion. The Aatte pup had given her a gift though. He hadn't cleared it with either Mati or Brooklyn but Siobhan had liked it. "Okay. I did get her a present, after we first met. It wasn't really pretty, but she liked it." He omitted the fact that it had been a teddy bear.

Bi-colored ears flicked as his tone grew more serious. Love didn't need to be explained to him, even that sort of love. He knew his mothers loved each other. "Kay, but...what if I don't love her? I shouldn't tell her then, that'd be lying." He couldn't imagine himself lying to her. Especially about something important like love.

short..

This kid would need hours of training. But Heath knew that he wouldn’t be able to teach him everything. Some things could only come from experience, and Haven would have to figure out his own way around a female. That was something Heath wasn’t whiling to talk about. Besides they hadn’t even kissed, and Haven was still so wet behind that ears there were some things that he wasn’t ready for yet. Though he had already opened up a whole new world for the younger kid, even he knew where to draw the line.

He wasn’t completely behind; giving the chick a gift was a start. And having done it all on his own gave him hope. But as he continued to talk Heath’s heart sunk. Where did he get this stuff? Stopping in his tracks, Heath looked down on the orange hybrid. Eyeing him he found that he was being sincere. That was the number one, the slam dunk. And he was going to worry about a silly word. It’s a word. A single word that means what? Nothing. There was so much “love” thrown around it was hard to distinguish all the truth from lies. What was one more little bit to the big masses of the world’s dishonestly? You’ll never get her if you can’t get passed that kid.

Turning from Haven, he began to walk. Did the kid think that he was better then he was?

Start to wrap this up?

Haven was surprised when Heath stopped walking and turned to him. His voice and words had turned a little harsh and his bi-colored ears dipped back. Still, as taken aback as he was, he disagreed with what the older hybrid was saying. Love was more than just a word and Haven wasn't going to go around saying it to people when it wasn't true. Besides lying like that was just wrong. It went against all the codes of valiance and chivalry that he aspired to. Knights didn't lie. They were honest and truthful.

The corners of his mouth turned down in a frown and his brows knit together. "It's more than just a word and it doesn't mean nothing." The pup's voice was softer than usual, but there was no hesitance in those words. If he had known about Heath's history he might have been able to understand why the other felt the way he did. But he didn't, and as such all he had to draw on was his background and what he believed. He would never lie to Siobhan just to get her to be with him.

When Heath turned to walk away Haven's feet stayed planted in the snow. Despite their differing views, he still liked the older kid and didn't want to get into some big argument. Maybe it would be best if they split ways for now and met up again once tempers had cooled.
