Kol noticed Alexey's slight apprehension as her tawny friend took a place beside her. Smiling a bit, she leaned in to bump her shoulder reassuringly as some of the other pack members took turns in speaking. The Stormbringer wasn't usually one for formal gatherings, but they were often necessary and tonight's was no exception. Kol, however, had nothing personal to add, and so she remained quiet, making a face every so often at her best friend.

The lighthearted and congratulatory air of the meeting was suddenly shattered by the late arrival of Dahlia's Acer and new mother, Firefly. She was wild-eyed, insane with rage, and she flung herself at her mate with all intents of ripping him apart. The entire pack was stunned at first, a few individuals recovering more quickly and moving in to offer help. Kol rose to her feet immediately and sped over to the Lilium and his mate, every hair on end at the words she was catching. Gone? The boys were missing? How in Fenris' name could anyone have snuck into Dahlia, let alone into the house of the Lilium, and taken them?? Something felt out of place, and Kol flashed a look at Cercelee and Haku, hoping they'd know what it meant. Someone needed to get to the house quickly and see if any evidence at all was left behind in the boys' disappearance, and the sooner it could be gathering, the better. With a nod, the Stormbringer turned on her heels and sped off in the direction of the mated pair's home, intent on getting some clues as to who the hell could have possible kidnapped them.

More announcements came. It wasn’t until the newer pack members started showing up and introducing themselves that Alexey came to realize how much Dahlia de Mai had grown. The tawny girl did her best to ignore both Svara and Adelaida, there was no need to trigger an argument in front of everyone. Remaining calm and not paying any attention to them was the best thing to do. However, when Svara’s so-called mother introduced herself, irritation became apparent on Lexey’s face. She did not say anything though, fully aware that Cercelee might not approve of such a behavior. Instead she bit her tongue and kept quiet, even if she desperately wanted to know why the leadership would allow the nut job’s mom to join the ranks of Dahlia de Mai. The Koios girl was willing to bet anything that the older Thames woman was just as crazy as her daughter, if not more.

A frown creased her forehead as she suddenly locked gazes with her brother. The two-year-old femme was still upset with him but at least she was acknowledging him, unlike Adelaida. There was so much tension in her body; it felt as if she was going to snap in half. Firefly’s arrival did not calm her down either. Holding her breath, the newly assigned caregiver watched as her friend stumbled over to her mate. It was a sorry sight to see her that way. However, feelings of pity lasted less than a minute. They turned into confusion and anger as soon as the Acer announced that Emwe and Conor had been kidnapped.

Alexey suddenly took a step back, shaking her head in disbelief. No, this wasn’t happening! She wanted to turn around and catch up to Kol as she darted off into the night but her legs were paralyzed. Fear prevented her from moving. Swallowing hard, Lexey waited for Firefly to speak up once again, hoping her body would soon overcome the initial shock that came with the bad news.

This sucks alala

When his mate’s jaws snapped shut in front of his face and oh, oh, when she poured out those pathetic accusations, he wanted to snap right back at her, and maybe feel flesh pierce and fill his senses with metal. Instead the Lilium got up on his feet and stepped backwards, completely indifferent to the news she had thrown into her face. Before he even could think of how he wanted to react, the rest of the pack started uproar. Different voices from different members and directions made his ears flatten, but his gaze, going slowly from cool to murderous stayed on the woman he once had believed he had loved and cared for. He gritted his teeth, disliked the words she used in front of the small child that was present. Firefly had not even wanted him close by after she had found out that Deuce and her child was here, so obviously Haku had not been there, but now it was only his fault. His nostrils took in the scent of the creature she had battled with, and when he had it safe placed in memory, he turned around and left the scene, following Kol. He too would take the tour to the house and find the missing children together with blood. The situation somewhat mattered, but he was filled with more confusion than rage and fear. No fear, but a bit of rage. What really got to him was that the scent of the canine that had given her was not present in the house. A low snarl sounded from the male as he strode through the house, splitting the house in two so that both he and Kol had their own searches.

Coli felt her stomach lurch with dread as Willow scampered over to Haku... She resisted the urge to chase after the strong-willed girl, knowing that nothing bad could happen before all the glinting watchful eyes of the pack. She no longer had an understanding of the man she once called 'father' -- he was now enigmatic to her, better at hiding his feelings, better at controlling his actions. And with Firefly conspicuously absent, there was zero danger to her little half-sister. Still, the frail female felt her hackles rising as her nerves jangled, only beginning to relax once Willow Soul returned to her mother's snowy-white paws.

Her packmates were either accepting or indifferent to her announcement, and she sank back closer to Deuce's protective shape, yearning to return to the safety of their cabin. Although it was not so, she felt as though everyone present was scrutinizing her, picking apart her appearance, criticizing her timid nature. Wolves were not supposed to be shy. This was fact. And she had not been born shy, but made that way by her own doubts, compounded by the time she spent alone. Wolves were not supposed to be solitary, either. They were social animals, depending on each other for everything. Even the lowest member of the pack was integral to its structure. Coli sighed dejectedly, sure that she was that bottom wolf, trodden upon by everyone. But the commotion snapped her blue gaze back up, her warm brown ears focused on the uproar.

It was Firefly Sadira. Dread clenched in her stomach, fear tightening her throat so that she could not speak. Her brothers... Where were her brothers? Haku did not seem upset by the news, as he kept his jaws clamped shut and stalked away from the gathering, following Kol to search for clues. Lubomir, Cercelee, Cwmfen, all cried out, trying to get a grasp on the situation. Coli remained sitting, stunned by the terrible news. Had she lost her brothers already? She hadn't even met them yet! They would never know their big sister now, never have a chance to grow up right... Her wide blue eyes sought Alexey in the bustle, wanting the Caretaker's reaction. Lexey was shaking her head "no"... Coli wished that this news was false, that it was all some ruse concocted by the madwoman. But she was too meek to voice a question, to visit the cabin, to do anything but watch with horror as the scene unfolded.

Sankor really wasn 't sure what to make of the mess that suddenly seemed to errupt when Firefly exploded into the scene. The screams and upcries from the other packmates were hard to understand and the male took a step back as he tried to gather just what had happened. It seemed that the puppies had been kidnapped, his eyes darted to the faces of those in the pack to see just what they were going to do. He noticed that the Lilium and one of the scouts didn't seem to stick around to find out the answers that Firefly would give, it bothered Sankor to see the father of the children show no change in face as he left but his roaming eyes didn't stop there, instead they stopped on Alexey, who seemed to be heartbroken at this announcement. He knew that it was her role to help tend for the small ones but he hadn't realized just how attached she must have become to them.

Though he knew that they'd been fighting on and off since her return he couldn't help but feel bad for his sister, he could tell that she wasn't going to be able to take this easy if they didn't find the children soon. A soft whine rose in his throat as he glanced around towards the other packmates, his eyes stopping at Rilo and a few others he knew for a moment before he dashed off, knowing that someone should atleast be on the borders if everyone else was going to tear the packlands apart. Perhaps he'd be able to find the scent of the strangers on the outskirts of the lands while everyone was busy within or elsewhere.

ooc-god she reminds me of Steele off Balto.. x.x

Firefly was not about to calm down and she wasn't going to ease off on her words even though she could see by the light of Haku's gaze and the tension in his form. She had every right to speak the way she was and there was nothing or no one who would dare stop her yet. Without a word her mate just walked away and with that she was unsure if he even cared. She had known long ago that their own relationship was like thin ice and with the coming of spring the dangers would only rise. She took a step back as the Lilium had disappeared, her heckles raised as the questions that flooded her rattled about her mind.

She didn't really calm down til the male was gone and when she did her words were still ragged and her muscles trembled with the fury of it all. "I slipped out to run a short patrol and Haku had been in the house when I'd left.." she spat, her emerald gaze glaring off towards the path the male had taken to escape. "I'd chased some male from the lands and he attacked me once we were aways away.." She snarled in fury at the memory of the actual fight she'd been in. She wasn't sure what the stupid hybrid had been doing so close to their lands but she doubted he'd live long now if a packmate caught him. "He escaped, I returned home to find Haku gone.. I wasn't worried atfirst until I realized the puppies were missing and drops of blood in their room.." She growled as she glanced towards the ones who'd been throwing questions her way, unsure if they were believing it but it atleast was some sort of explaination.

"I tried to follow the scent of their blood but I lost them the further I got into the sugarwoods!" she howled in frustration as she stamped her paw and began to pace back and forth. She glared coldly at Deuce with her precious little daughter at foot, knowing that Haku would never have let anything happen to his bastard get, but his own two boys he didn't even seem to care about, having left the cabin for whatever reason he'd deemed more important and leaving the boys alone!

Firefly dropped down to the ground and tore at the dead grass in anger at the whole jest of it all. She knew sooner or later she'd have to 'find' the pups on her own, but for now she was through being the proud bitch who's mate fluttered around from one girl to the next like a butterfly in a garden. She'd teach him, though she knew the risk that was involved for once she just was tired of caring.

The calm expoded as hell itself flung its way into the pack meeting. Firefly's screams alarmed the pale mother. The boys were missing? Concern overrode her caution and she took a stepo towards Firefly before she knew what she was doing. A hateful glare stopped the mother in her tracks, reminding her just how dangerous the distraught woman was. Deuce looked back at her, sadness in her eyes. Once she'd helped the girl, and now she seemed to be the enemy. When she looked away, it was to give the distraught woman some semblance of privacy.

She looked to her own child, attempting to corral her away. She looked to Colibri and Tal. "Take Willow back to the house. I will go help search." Firefly might hate her, but Deuce would do the right thing anyways. She would help search.

Everything about the meeting changed, the simple happiness of seeing everyone, but it all went down hill so fast. Ril'o's shining green eyes looked about when his brother's voice broke into the crowd, tensing up everything about the happy male changed as he held back a growl. The last person in the world he ever wanted to see and he appears in his new home, tail swaying behind his golden ears pinned back as a snort emitted from his chest.

When Firefly appeared things only dropped further as her new born puppies seemed to have vanished by the way she was talking. Glancing about the members he eyes watched the commotion before as his watched Sankor run off, thinking it see best that he would follow or at least increase his patrol on the boarders. Standing up Ril'o turned and quickly left the area as he headed towards the borders.
