Catherine took a deep breath and sighed longly. She was finally finished with it. It took more than the couple of hours she thought she would take. Actually, it took weeks. Using the figures from the books and the human tools skills she had, she made her new home. It was a very, very big den, or a small cave. Using a rough made shovel, she digged it. It must be 16 feet width, 9 feet height, in a circle shape. She had to construct a wooden structure for it down colapse. The entrance seemed small, but she could get in crouched, and then stand erect perfectly once inside. There was a fire in the center, under a hole in the surface of the cave, that lead to a dead, hollow tree, that would work as a chimney and as an entrance for Seymour. The tree's roots reached on the ceiling, and some were perfects perchs for Seymour. The cave had a carefully made stone floor and earthy walls. The bed was made of leaves, leather and fur of different prey, but mostly of elks. Her books and other stuff were kept in a wooden shelf attached to the structure. The "door" was the dead tree's bark, that fitted the entrance by inside. As the entrance had a big height form the cave's floor, she made out a few steps of wooden.

The grayish female contemplated her work and let go her mane, which was in a ponytail, and trhew hesrself on the bed. She arfed, tired. It was plenty of work, and she would need to hunt, sooner or later, and it made her even more tired. Seymour got used at his new entrance while she constructed the den, but she kept the "door" opened so the wind could come in. The peregrine falcon floated in the air for a second and landed on her side, a small mouse one his claws. He pushed it against his owner's hand, and she knew what that meant. The female smiled lightly to the bird. "Don't worry, buddy. I'm fine, just tired. Keep it." she told him, rejecting the food gently. He needed it more than her. The black mamba slithered slowly to the woman and coiled besides her head, looking to her with bright, piercing yellow eyes. "It looks good, Catherine." the snake praised, glancing around the den. "Thanks, Saw." she thanked, pleased to see the her Spirit Guide enjoyed it.

Quickly, the sleepiness took on the Luperci, and she snored lightly as she slept. She had no dreams because of the fatigue. Before the sleep completely took on her, she heard Seymour eating his mouse and Saw rubbing his smooth scales on her face, cuddling on her cheek, hissing lightly. The warmth of her new den embraced her like caring arms. It felt so good, the sensation of finally ending it, so she could sleep in piece, without the worry of finishing it. With that feeling, her mind slipped to unconscience. There was no dreams because of the fatigue, but she didn't need to dream. All of them had came true...

Can we date this thread for around March 20th?

Leland was ready to do it now. Too much time had been spent thinking about the girls, comparing the two in his head, weighing them against each other. Really the decision was simple, one of them seemed to want him, the other didn’t. At least, that’s how he felt. Maybe he had loved Asha more, but even if he had he denied it now. One couldn’t love somebody who didn’t love them back. He was going to tell Catherine today, because he simply didn’t feel like waiting any longer. Perhaps he would just be rejected, again, but that was something he could live with. It had happened twice before now, and it seemed to get easier each time. There was always the chance today would be different.

The husky mix followed the women’s trail as best he could, he wasn’t quite as good at tracking as some of the wolves, but he made up for it with determination. And he found her, or at least he found her home and he believed her to be inside. At the door he stopped, unable to go any further. He couldn’t just enter her house, but his heart hammered in his chest and his hand trembled slightly. Looking back he saw the pair of tiny mismatched eyes peering at him from the brush, Pixie was watching but she kept her distance. The copper hued male hesitated, then knocked. He swallowed hard.

Sure thing^^ W.C.: 429

She almost getting in a very deep sleep when she heard something. A low harsh, that seemed to be coming form far away. Her eyes opened up slowly and lazily, with a great effort. The tiredness was really very strong in her normal state. Now, she felt like she hand't slept a few weeks. Yes, it was hard to even do a simple movement, like opening the eyes. She growled, and only saw two yellow, shiny, piercing eyes into hers. She gasped and rose up, scared, kneeled on her couch-bed. When the adrenaline let her think racionaly again, she grimace to the snake. "There is someone knocking... I think it is Leland..." the hissy voice of the snake told her. All her sleepness was suddenly gone, and it was weird. Not even her mother could take off her naps. Also, she felt her heart beat hush up. Somehow, she knew it wasn't the adrenaline.

The grayish female just got on her feet, and walked to the open door with a quick pace. Nearly mechanically, she climbed the three wodden steps to the surface, but took a deep breath before really looking outside. Her whole chest was off when her eyes got used to the light and she could actually see him. It felt good to see his mismatched eyes again. She pulled herself out and streched up, looking at him with a wide, warm and welcoming smile.

"Hi there, Leland! I wasn't expect you here, to be honest." she said with a very warm, cheerful voice, but with a bit of bluntness in the end. It was the pure truth, mostly because it was her brand new home. Of course, after working so hard at it, she wouldn't expect less for her smell had stagnated the underground house and her main reserach sources, like stones, wood and other stuff. Even more the trails she went through. But she didn't care. He was there, and it was the best thing it could happen to her. "Do you wanna come in?" she asked gently. It was good to be able to say it. After all, it wasn't everyone that could climb up a tree and join her in her "home". And it would be completely weird. Now that she could provide a roof, a more comfortable place o sit in and a nice fire for the cold weather, she had less thigs to worry about. And more place to think about other things, principaly more pleasant ones. Like a visitor in her door, which was a very close friend for her.

The door opened and Leland smiled at the women who appeared before him. Of course, he had been expecting her, he knew she had been home, but all the same his hammering heart quieted a bit at the relief when she appeared. “Catherine! How are ya?” He grinned and nodded happily as she invited him in. Hanging around in a tree wasn’t quite his idea of home, but better to be inside than out. As he entered, he noted it was rather cozy, smaller than Asha’s, but it fit them both and that was what mattered he supposed. As long as Catherine was happy here.

One brown and one blue eye strayed about the room, he noted that Seymour and Saw seemed at home in the tree as well. Leland still hadn’t built his own home yet, but with spring coming fast upon them, he didn’t know what was delaying him. Soon enough he would have to get to it. Turning he met Catherine face to face again and smiled. The male wasn’t sure how to go about this anymore, the last two times he had fallen flat on his face and he didn’t want it to be the case now. “Catherine… I …” The words didn’t want to come out, and impulsively he drew closer to her, landing a kiss on her lips, hoping that the actions spoke louder than the words he wouldn’t say.

Catherine noticed the eyes of the male wander around her new home, but if it was in approval or disapproval, she couldn't tell. She saw, in the corner of her eyes, the Saw rose his head lightly in the presence of the husky mix, and that Seymour's attention was completely on her friend. Almost in alert. It bothered her, but not that much, since he was there with her. It was almost like he was a sunshine, entering inside a dark room. It was so good.

He finally looked at her, and her heart beated even faster, hammering inside her ribs. It was like her chest couldn't bare it, like it was now too big to fit there. He smiled, and she answered him with one of her own. A hiss that came from her back warned her that Saw wasn't very pleased with that. She ignored, her attention back to the male in front of her as he tried to say something. It seemed he couldn't.

What is it? she asked, but thought it would make it even worse. She decided to be quiet and wait, let him take his time. He then drew closer to her. Her smiled faded slowly, her mouth hanging open with the curiosity of what he wanted. He got closer and kissed her. Her eyes widen up in shock, her heart seeming that would explode. Her legs trembled, and a chill raised in her, getting hot as it reached her face. When it was gone, she felt very dizzy, the walls spinning around her. She closed her eyes, but the sensation of turning around was still there. Not able to hold herself, she threw her arms around his shoulders, loving that feeling. If depended of her, she would never let it go. Harshes and hisses sounded from far away, blured by the sound of her heart, hammering her lungs, which made her breathe quickly, but lightly.

Now, she finally understood what was that she felt about Leland. And yes, she could assume it. She would assume it. She loved him. And it seemed that he loved her as well.

Leland held her there, encircled in his arms tightly. The kiss had only lasted half a minute at most before he pulled his lips away, resting his head atop her own as he stood taller than she. Maybe it had been foolish, maybe he was cheating himself, but he did not hear Catherine utter a word of complaint. He liked her, he really did. Leland was not sure if he loved her, not just yet, but perhaps that would grow with time. And besides, if he was not happy, perhaps at least he could bring happiness to some other. And so he held her, close.

“I’m sorry, miss.” It was all he could think to say, he had after all just barged in and forced himself upon her in a way, and surely if she pulled away or resisted he would have backed off, but she did not. Still, this was not how a proper gentleman acted, and he was a proper gentleman. He did not wish to ever become like his two brothers, womanizing, taking what they could get when they could get it. Leland truly cared about anyone he interacted with, and he knew he cared about Catherine. He was just not sure if it was enough.

Ooc: Aww... Leland is just so cute!

Catherine enjoyed every singlke second of that kiss, as she knew it would have to end. When he did pulled away-she wasn't couting the time-, she wanted he didn't. She was about to complain that sudden end when he hugged her, his head upon her. Their bodies seemed to fit so perfectly... "Every good things don't last long enough." she thought, remembering of the phrase she read in a book once. Unfortunately, it was true, and she knew it very well.

Don't say that. There is nothing to regret. she said, her voice a bit rough. She couldn't see what to regret on that. All that was just so good. The grayish female had completely forgotten of their audience. She knew they would be very irritated with that, not that she really cared about that. They would have to live with it, they wanting or not.

The woman now could understood what those characters on the romantic books she had read felt. Those sensations of floating in Heavens, of hearing music or feeling sparks through her body. She could comprehend that now. No one would -or could- ruin that moment for her. Not even the male that was holding her. Besides, it wouldn't make any sense. You know you can call me Catherine, the wolfess commented, as he called her "miss". After that kiss, she felt he could call her of whatever he wanted.
