ooc|| enjoy a high!sab.

The lady stood on her porch, clad in stained white. Two gold studs gleamed from her left ear. Sabeen ran two hands down her hips, smoothing out the folds of the tunic. She looked out onto the horizon, briefly, before turning and retreating into the shell of a broken house. A moment later the female emerged, a needle, a spoon, and a small bag of brownish powder wrapped in her hands. She sat, glancing down to the drug. It was impure and old, but would hopefully still give her the high she needed. Fingers sought out the spoon to begin the process.

Minutes later, she lay on the porch, spread out. Her skin was warming up, burning up, and she sprung up suddenly, laughing from the dizzy sensation in her head. Colors were brighter. Suddenly, Sabeen didn't want to be alone anymore. She wanted someone to laugh with, someone to talk to. She wondered briefly where Svara was, but changed her mind. Jumping off the porch, the woman took off at a sprint. 'He-llo! Anyone arround?'

Willow was off with Coli, and Tal had wandered away, presumably to walk to borders. Since moving there he'd closed off more, making himself scarce. It worried the mother. A voice floated to her, and she frowned, stepping onto the porch. There was the woman she'd seen at the pack meeting, the one who had introduced herself as someone else's mother. The woman didn't know who Svara was yet. Thankfully.

"Hello there." Her voice was questioning. Not many passed this way. Not many wanted to or needed to. Thta was why she'd chosen this house, besides the resemblence to the house she'd bourne Dierdre and the other pups in, the one that had burned nearly a year ago. This house was out of the way and safe. Or so she'd thought. "Is there something I can help you with?"

ooc| is deuce shifted?

Her vision blurred at the corners; Sabeen pounced to her left, tangling her legs in her long dress and tumbling to the grown. A high pitched cackle escaped her split lips. Suddenly, a voice. The lady pushed herself to her feet, peering around blearily for a moment before settling on the white form of the other wolf. She stepped towards her and reached out her hands in greeting. 'He-llo.' She laughed again, pulling her hands back to entwine in her dark, messy hair. 'wie fühlt sich Ihr ziemlich weißer Pelz?' Sabeen asked, her voice becoming low and serious. Her tongue suddenly felt heavy in her mouth. She stepped towards the white wolf once more, her eyes flashing. 'Ah! Wh're you?'

Yes...I should have mentioned that. LOL

Deuce frowned, watching the woman. She seemed unsteady on her feet. Deuce approached cautiously, ready to flee at the least bit of fright. The foriegn words the woman spoke were strange, and the pale mother frowned. Moments later,. the woman asked a coherent question. Who was she? Deuce lifted her chin.

"I am Deuce Rhiannon, and I live here. What are you doing so far from your daughter, Sabeen?" She was used to mothers and daughters staying close, even though she hadn't had much luck with that when it came to her children. Rhiannon only knew where Dierdre was. Deuce hadn't seen the girl in well over a year. Noah was no where around either. Only Tal stayed after he was grown. Perhaps Willow might, or perhaps not. Deuce didn't know.

The lady's smile grew in proportion to the other's frown, all teeth bared in a gleaming grin. She drew her arms over her chest, hugging her full body close. The introduction came, and it was satisfactory for Sabeen, but the question struck a sour note in her euphoria. Her grin curled into a brief snarl before fading to a small smile. The dark red eyes of her daughter peered into her soul. 'Sie nahm meine Seele.' For a moment she was deadly silent, her eyes unfocused. She looked towards Deuce as if to move, but ultimately collapsed into a sitting position, drawing her loose dress up around her hips. 'She'd rather cut her eyes out then see me.' Her voice was almost tinged with sadness. Sometimes, Sabeen could not remember her past, and what she had done to her children. Sometimes she forgot and asked herself, what has become of my children? And then she remembered, and her mood turned south.

The effects of the high were starting to wear off- her limbs felt heavy as she sat on the ground, peering up into the white wolf's face. 'How'dja get that nasty scar, eh? A fightt?' She drew out the word fight, tilting her head back as she burst into another slow laugh.

It took the woman a moment, but she soon understood why this wolfess was acting so strangely. She'd come across Lucifer in a similar state a time or two. The woman was high, though not nessicarilly dangerous. She was naturally wary of this, though. The strange words were followed by a statement that made the woman feel sad. Her own daughter didn't want to see her? That was wrong to both mother and child.

She watched the woman sink to the ground, her bi-colored eyes no less wary. Her question made the woman touch the scar selfconciously. her voice held a flat note when she spoke. "Yes. A fight. Against a filthy coyote." She didn't give any more info than that. She hadn't seen ahren, but she didn't want to. He was the enemy, and if she knew he was dead, she would celebrate that her nemisis was gone. She still didn't understand why the male had attempted to kill her, and she didn't want to know.

Her body relaxed as she fell onto the ground fully, drawing her legs up. She stretched her arms out and curled them behind her messy haired head, looking at the white woman through slanted wheat-coloured eyes. Sabeen tsked at the response Deuce gave her. 'Oh now, not all coyotes are filthy. Only about 90 percent of them,' she laughed at her own joke, if it could be classified as one. The tone of her voice indicated that she didn't want to be probed about the fight, so Sabeen let it drop out of the goodness of her heart. She rolled onto her side, propping her head up on her palm. 'Ist es weich?' The lady purred and stretched out. 'Oh but, now I have to ask you, Deuce-y.' Her eyes focused on the white face, her train of thought suddenly shifting. 'You've kids, then, I assume?'

Deuce stared at the woman, wondering why she'd chosen to come so close to her house, of all places. It was illlogical. The woman had laid out and stretched, and then she came with another question that made the mother frown in confusion beofre answering. Yes. She paused, then spoke again. "I have two sons and a daughter." While she loved Dierdre, she didn't know if she copuld count the girl...she still had no idea if her oldest child was alive or not.

ugh, sorry for the wait

How utterly delightful, the woman's children mirrored her own! Two sons, a daughter, just like her except her kids were dead, dead, dead except Svara who hated her so much. Her ludic state was fading away into a relaxed sleepiness, her limbs heavy like lead. Sabeen stayed on the ground, curling to rest her head on her arms. 'I did, I did too,' she finally replied to the white lady. 'Except, my sons, they're dead now.Ich erinnere mich nicht an warum. Ich denke, dass sie, zwar ermordet wurden. Ich verfehle sie nicht; Bin ich schlecht?'

The woman spoke and Deuce softened again, until she began that odd tongue again. "I am sorry for your loss. I also lost a son, once. He was killed..." She'd never been able to let go of that event. Shadow's murder had been the event that had begun the dissolving of her and Lucifer's mateship, so long ago. Shadow would have been an adult now, as Taliesin was. But he was gone, faded into the darkness of death. Her bi-colored eyes went distant, thinking of the boy. She focused on the woman again, aware of her presence.

I'm gonna wrap this out 'cause it's rather backdated, if that's okay? (:

Oh so she had lost a son, too, huh? The world was small. 'Ah, who killed him, eh, eh?' her voice was still light, not serious, not recognizing or empathizing with the other. 'I hope it wasn't daddy-dearest-- never can trust those men, eh?' A yawn escaped her. She was tired, now, and allowed her eyes to fall shut. 'Oh, well, you know, least you have others to make up the loss, right?' Sabeen fell silent, then, and began to drift away into sleep.

((Sounds fine. Smile ))

Sabeen spoke and Deuce tensed, feeling anger pulse in her mind. She took a slow breath, forcing her body to relax. She went to make a sharp remark when she realized the woman was nearly asleep. Deuce hesitated, then turned and returned to her home, slamming the door behind and locking it behind her. Willow and Coli wouldn';t be back for hours, and when they did return, if Sabeen was still there, Deuce would be sure to escort them in. She wasn't going to let anything happen to the girls.
