Secret pain I feel

Mahlouk looked at the den he had found. Boo sat on a old tree stump watching him clean out the old thing. A fox had been living in it, but he had made sure to get rid of the thing. Now all it took was making the den more spacy. Walking back over to it he got in and started digging again his butt sticking up in the air out of his soon to be new home. Already his coat was covered in dirt making him look grey and black in some places. His scars looked even more grusome with the dirt all over them. His big light brown deer skin collar hung low on his neck like usual it gingled as he dug the dirt out of the den and moved old branches from it.

Coming out of the hole again he went over to his worn teddy bear who sat at the stump and sat in front of him. Like usual his face held no emotion and his eyes only color with no black pupils in them. He looked at boo before speaking to his companion. "Boo, Mahlouk thinks we need to work more. This is taking a long time." The bear didn't move as he spoke and Mahlouk didn't make any sign of noticing. "Mahlouk likes Ayegali, she is nice boo. Doesn't boo think so?" Mahlouk asked his friend as he went back to digging the dirt from his soon to be den.

He found that he liked these lands. The young male wolf was happy he would no longer have to go through scarring. He didn't like having to feel them ripp his skin open and them burn it to keep the shape of their work. The tall lean male shook his coat to remove some of the dirt. He threw branches aside and tried to clear the area. Boo liked it clean and Mahlouk did to. His mother had hated it when his coat got dirty, not that she could do much about the blood stains that he had gained over time.

Hello^^ W.C.: 523

Catherine was inside her new den, reading a book. It would be probably the biggest ever, since it needed a wooden structure to not colapse down. The fire was not lightned, neither the torches she instaled in the entrance, since those were not needed. It was relaxing to sit on her bed-couch, the fur of it very soft and warm. Seymour, her peregrine falcon, was sitting in one of the thick roots that crossed the ceiling of the den, and her Spirit Guide, Saw, a black mamba, was coiled in the entrance of the den, watching for anything that would need their attention. It was going to be a normal day, until Saw hissed, demanding for the grayish wolf's attention. The red-haired female got up suddenly and reached for the snake. "There is someone there. I think we should investigate. I don't really know this wolf.", Saw informed with his hissy, rough voice. Catherine made a face and whistled for Seymour, which awakened shocked and quickly flew to the woman's shoulder.

"Would you go there and discover who is there?" she asked to the bird of prey and lauched him in the air, and it went back to the roots and passed through the dead tree's hollow trunk that worked as a chimney and as a passage for the bird. She stared as the shape of the falcon passed upon her and went to where the snake had told the stranger was. In a few seconds, it was back, harshing to her lowly. Her low speech traductor turned on as it "spoke". She wasn't surprised that the bird said that it very strange looking. Most of the wolves she had crossed with was weirder than her, with her stripped pattern and her horse-looking mane.

Okay, she was wrong. It was weirder than anyone else she had ever met. Behind a maple tree trunk, she gazed upon him. Those markings that he thought to be scars, and the beads in the eye, and the eyes themselves. Her mouth hang out open and her eyes widened with surprise. Ow...! she mouthed, and then swallowed air. She would need to greet it sooner or later, and she prefered to be as soon as she could. She took a deep breath and sighed. She went for it with slow steps, one part of her regreting this, hesitating, forcing her to run away. Another thinking that it would be cool to meet a new comer. She could see it, and smeel it.

"Hello." she said simply, one arm out waving once, the other behind her back. It was her shy position, and she coudn't help but to do it. Her ears were turned forwards, in interest, but her tail fallen, dead, trembling as it decided either to swing loose or to hide bettween her legs. Saw kept still, around her neck, and Seymour had just landed on her leather-covered shoulder. She did notice the recent digged den and the remaining dirt on his fur, but she wasn't caring much about those. She was worried with those terrifing scars. She could only think of how did he got those...

Mahlouk looked at his den he had dug so far. He had alot more to do but so far he was sure it would work. Looking back to Boo he spoke to his companion. "Boo Mahlouk thinks we will be happy here." The semi white half breed stretched his large body. He was sore from the work he had done, but Mahlouk was enjoying it in his own way. Laying down next to the stump boo was sitting on he couldn't help but notice when a bird passed over head. It had been the first real signs of life in the woods other then small finches and crows. His light blue pupiless eyes watched the bird.

"Boo Mahlouk thinks someone is coming." He said in his deep voice to his friend who state motionless on the stump all cotton and fluff. A few moments later Mahlouk felt like he was being watched. The young male shifted uncomftorbale with the hidden eyes on him. He hated to be stared at, in his old pack he was considered a peice of art cherished, but outside he felt like he was a freak.

The sound of a simple 'hello' made his eyes perk forwards and his face stay blank of emotions like always. His eyes focused on the female and he stood on his long legs sitting in front of Boo so the female wouldn't notice his friend. Mahlouk just watched her his face never changing never offering any sign of what he was going to do next. "hello...." Louk's voice was deep and just as intimidating as his body was. He didn't know what to do around the strange female. Ayegali had been open and kind to him, but this female she seemed scared of him.

Catherine felt a chill as the deep voice of the male replied her greeting. He was... something, that's for sure. She hesitade, and changed her pose for a more casual, crossing her arms in her chest, her tail and ears relaxing. It was only her fear of big guys, caused by her father. It passed quickly as she noticed he wasn't in an agressive pose. Anyhow, the scars were only things bothering her. Some of their shapes looked like a wolf, other like a duck, and so one. 'Odd...' she thought again. Those certainly weren't by accident. "I'm Catherine." she told him, pretending to continue, but something made her silent. The black mamba that could be taken as dead moved her head foward, slithering from her body to the ground and to the male, her head up at the level of the light blue eyes of the stranger. She wasn't sure if Saw could be seen for the scary wolf, but she knew the snake was examinating him. It circled him once and looked back to it. The hissy voice came out of the half opened mouth of the reptile. "Who are you?" it asked. It was probably seeable to the white wolf. The snake was stealing Catherine's lines in this conversation but, at least, her possibilities of her voice to show her fear for the male decreased, since she didn't need to talk at all.

"Sorry. He is like this all the time." she informed, looking to the reptile's slim body and his pose. A few more inches and he would be touching the male's nose. Her Spirit Guide had this bad habit, to don't understand the limit of aproximation. She knew the feeling of his bright, shiny yellow eyes, that now lightly glowed because of the light, but the faint yellow glow from his eyes were notable. In the night, they looked like torches, and were very disturbing. She made a face with her attempts to hunt at night, with Saw in her neck. It was just impossible.

Seymour left the grayish female's shoulder and flew up high, going away. e had probably saw a pigeon or a small bird flying around and went after it. Typical of him. She rolled her eyes and moved them to the male. The way he was sitting seemed like he was hidding something. She didn't care. She usually never did. So optimist, she always saw things in their good side. Otherwise, she was realistic. It was just once or twice when she got pessimist.

Mahlouk didn't mind the female, but the snake he didn't like. He had never liked snakes, not after he had seen one of his pack mates die from a snake bite. When the reptile slid down from her body his face never changed in emotion black as a white board never used before. His lips pulled back on his maw showing pure white teeth sharp and strong. Backing up a step he kept that threatening show of teeth not wanting the snake near him. "Mahlouk doesn't like snake." He said in a deep rumbling voice almost hinted in fear.

Mahlouk looked to the female his eyes still blank and haunting. "Mahlouk doesn't like snake." He repeated wanting the female to understand his fear. He backed into the stump Boo was sitting on accidently knocking his bear over on the ground near the dreaded snake. Quickly Mahlouk grabbed Boo by the scruff protecting him. His face never showed any emotion except for baring his teeth. Holding boo gently above the ground he sat him back on the stump carefully."Mahlouk doesn't want Snake Near boo." He warned.

Catherine was impressed by the male's capacity to keep an empty face, but even more because he showed his teeth while Saw circled him. The strnger's complain was enough for her to be sure the white wolf's could see the black mamba. He repeated it, with a bit of fear in his deep voice.

When a torn teddy bear fell from a stomp behind him, she understood what he was hidding. She didn't think it was stupid or silly, neither childish. It only showed he may be a little lonely. The male grabbed the bear off the ground, stiil baring his teeth. The snake hissed loudly, half opening the black mouth to the scarred male, exposing the thin, white fangs lightly. The grayish female cleared her throath, demanding the snake's attention. It closed the mouth, assuring her that it heard her. "Saw." she said simply. The reptile heistated a few seconds and returned, climbing her leg and body to her neck, coiling around it. She gave him a grim and returned to the male with a clear face.

"So...when did you joined?" she asked. By the way he talked, using his name instead of "I" or "me", she haven't the need to ask him who he was. And she could grasp from his smell that he was an AniWayan, the scent of the tribe already mixed with his own. There was other questions she wanted to ask, but she hold her tongue, not willing to be unpolite.

Mahlouk hadn't liked the snake. The very sight of the replile made the urge to bite and snap in self defense came rising in him. Mahlouk wasn't mean by nature or even violent. What he was was a gentle giant, but one who didn't know his own strength and ablilities. He stood in front of the stump protectivly making sure the female's snake couldn't get his companion. His fangs staied bared until the female called her black demon back to her side.

"Mahlouk doesn't want snake near Boo." He grumbled sitting down seeming less tense now that the snake had left. Her question made him focus back on her and not so much on the mamba. "He does not remember. Only a few days ago at the most." The scarred white male said absent mindedly. His azure eyes scanned over the female before asking his own question. "Why does this she wolf have a snake with her?" His deep voice rumbled and a static face some how question with searching pupiless eyes.

Catherine could almost taste the tense atmosphere around them, only because of Saw. He wasn't a bad guy, and she knew that. Actually, he was very pacific, and wouldn't hurt even a fly. It was normal for a snake to show the fangs in a problem. She hadn't seen the problem there, since the white wolf hadn't done anything bad at all.

She heard the scarred wolf complain about Saw. Yes, he was scaring sometimes, but not dangerous, not at all. Well, the fact of him doesn't actually knowing when he joined was rather disturbing. She remembered hers as it was yesterday. It was nothing easily forgotten, principaly for her. His question thrilled her. Now the grayish female wasnt scared anymore. She was cunfuse and curious about him.

"Well, he is my Spirit Guide." she told him, as if it was the most common thing ever. Until a question appeared on her mind. "You...you know what a Spirit Guide is, right?" she would die if he said "no".

Her words made his large ears flick back on his head. He knew what a spirit animal was. In his old tribe all wolves coming into an adult name got a spirit animal, except him. He let his strange eyes move to the female. "He knows of them, but cannot have one." He said reluctantly his eyes shifting away from her to boo. "This man does not need a spirit animal, he has boo." The scarred male turned away from her and went to lay down beside boo's stump.

"Mahlouk doesn't wished to talk to Catherine anymore." He closed his eyes basking in the small amount of light coming in through the trees. His sudden change in additude was a defensive sheild he used when he didn't know what to do. His eyes closed he felt the heat of the sun soothing his skin. He was sure she would leave him alone after that rude statement. As long as he didn't have to explain himself.

Catherine heard the male's reply, and it thrilled her completely. Why couldn't he gets one? Was it because of the scars? Or was there something more? Tons and tons of questions popped up inside her mind, drowning her attention. Asking such blunt, unpolite, stupid questions was completely unacceptable. She could do better.

His next speech surprised her. Okay, it meant, in a blunt way, that he wanted to end that conversation. 'Alright...' she thought and turned away, but not to go away. No, she just held a hand up toward the nearest tree, reaching up to a branch. Almost automatically, she pulled her body up to the almost none top of the tree. There was plenty of new leaves showing up in the big branches of it, so her position was still noticable. Gray on bright green and brown. What could be worse than that?

No, she hadn't gone away. He only said he didn't want to talk to her, not she had to leave. When the biggest branch on her sigh shown up, she sat on it, a leg hanging loose from it. She ignored the white, scarred male down, a roughly ten feet height. It wasn't much, there was bigger trees out there. Like the big tree in her first home. In that tree, she learned the most valuable, important lessons. She couldn't help herself to recall her puphood. It was easier to inore the other, so she let her mind wanders. She haven't barely noticed the snake that was now coiled in her tigh.
